I called Kragor Orthodontics, and they were able to see me in the same day, remove the broken retainer, and sent me home with a replacement that is in greater quality than the original. I could tell as soon as I walked in that this office is different because of its people. They were accommodating to my needs and have a great blend of professionalism, humor, and kindness. We need more places like this! Their office is very clean, and the interior is welcoming for all ages. I appreciate that their office wasn't drowning in toxic air fresheners or other added fragrances. This is sadly common these days and is disabling for the growing number of us who are chemically sensitive. They don't listen to you at all and get very irate if you question them at all or even express concerns. Everytime you go in, even for a basic cleaning you will come out with hundreds of dollars of urgent work that needs to be done( peridontal, replace crowns) and those items have to be completed right away and before the work you went in for gets done. I have had this experience many times in two years plus. I was severley hurt during a tooth extraction and they would not even talk to me about exactly what happened they acted like it was nothing. Everytime I go in even for a cleaning my mouth is serioulsy sore for days. Good tech don't seem to last long. This last time and I do mean the LAST time the tech tried to jam a huge piece of equipment in my mouth. He persisted for several minutes and didn't really seem concerned with my discomfort or outright pain. He got it in as he was determined to do, usually they go get a different piece or make another plan. Not this guy! I always get complements on the condition of my teeth and hygene. This guy told me they were really bad and needed $900.00 (by the time your done.) Tommorrow! He descibed it like he was reading out of a book. In three months time they went from Great!! to dire straights. Even though hygene had been off the last week I find that impossible to believe. I barely felt his exam compared to others it was nothing. Yet it revealed disaster! The Dr. came in to confirm what he was saying and I was shown x-rays that showed my brushing had been off for sure. When I questioned it they got angry. If I didn't get the appt tomorrow morning I wouldn't get one for 7 weeks. They acted as it the money was nothing. Probably because I had been going along with it for two years much to the dismay of my kids who said they thought that all of the procedures that I had had in the past two years was clearly excessive and have wanted me to change. They just name a price and I paid it in full at the time. And it has been never ending. I made excuses and a lot of it was not their fault and I am not called a professional patient by my kids for nothing. They took my insurance so I dealt with it. The last time The bills went on for months and months. $42 here 54 there and 68 somewhere else. For what I don't know. after a brief break because my insurance ran out I went back and it immediately started again. I left that day without the cleaning I went for, they wouldn't do it. I find I cannot go back. I am done. I just cant go back again. The never ending money machine is gone.
