Austin Painting and Cabinets - kitchen remodel with new cabinets painted custom color, new countertops, new backsplash

We wanted to update our kitchen to be more modern and decided to 1) replace new countertops, 2) paint cabinets white, 3) install new backsplash and 4) paint interior. I didn't want to spent a lot of money and get brand new cabinets since mine are fairly new. Austin Painting and Cabinet specializes in painting your existing cabinets to look new. They did a really good job and far exceeded my expectation. The areas they excelled included * Price - The price was very reasonable for the quality of work you're getting. I compared countertop pricing with JL Cabinets. JL initial quote was 2K cheaper but that's just an estimated price before you select your countertop. After we decided on the countertop, JL ended up being 2K more expensive. Tylers price was similar even after selecting countertop, meaning Tyler initial estimate is based on higher quality countertop whereas JL low ball. * Quality - My cabinets had knotty holes to make it looks rustic. Tylers team had to fill all the holes and sand to smooth all the cabinet prior to painting. I was scared that painting would look cheap. However, these guys specialize in cabinet painting. Their work is high quality. The end result was much better than expected. The cabinet finish was as smooth as butter. There are definitely cheaper options out there but you pay for what you get. Anyone can paint, but what Austin Painting and Cabinet excel in is spending lots of time prepping to ensure the paint looks high end. In addition to cabinet work, we had the living area painted. They covered and taped up every inch of the house to ensure paint didn't spread anywhere. The attention to detail is unmatched which shows in their final work product. * Communication - Tyler responded to all text and kept me up to date on the project. He was on time, every time, as well as his crew. I'm very happy with result and recommend Austin Cabinet and Painting to anyone who wants to update their Kitchen.

My job ist too small for them. Guess they don't like money. I need my whole interior painted.read more

I recently had 21st Century repaint the exterior of my house. You can find that review here as…read morewell. I'm writing a new one because this is a different project. After they finished painting my house, a few weeks later after heavy rains I noticed a stain on the ceiling of a guest bedroom. I knew immediately it was the long nagging problem of the "dead valley" along my roof. The house was designed and built according to the architect's drawings to have the roof of the first floor bedroom run into the siding of the house. It was a short "run" and rainfall should go quickly into the gutters. But, this was built under a big, old oak tree and for many years, I've had leaves and twigs built up, damming up the water. If I can remember it, I have to get up on a ladder with a rake and rake the leaves away from where the shingles meet the siding. After one major hailstorm, I had the roof replaced and when they replacing it, I asked them to build something to reduce the leave/branch damming. They did build it, but apparently not big enough. It lasted probably 14-15 years until this recent Spring. Since I had a good experience with 21st Century, I called them out to give me a bid on repairing what was probably rotted trim and exposed flashing and other rot elsewhere. And while they were at it, I asked them to build me a better diverter away from the siding. They came out and took care of it in a day. The guy was there from 8:30 to 5:00, taking a break for lunch, but got it done. Since they were also the painters, they asked me for the leftover paint they left for me (for touch-up) that came in handy as they had to replace the rotten trim and as it turned out a section of the roof decking. Attached are the pictures they took for the bid and then afterwards when they were complete. They were detailed enough to ask me first, "hey, this diversion we're putting in is a lighter grey then your shingles. Are you okay with that? We can go back and get darker materials". I said that was fine. No one can see that part of the roof and so it was trivial to me. The only negative thing from the painting and the roofing experience is so minor it's not worth taking away a star is that there will be a gap between when you sign and return the contract and they contact you about scheduling the actual work. In both cases, I had to drop them a line to remind them I was in the queue. Being a service that can't work when it's raining, I can understand that they have days where scheduled work is delayed and that causes a snowball effect of delays.

All details were paid close attention to and if there were any concerns or questions they took care of it, no questions asked. Everything that was listed on the quote was completed and checked off. They worked great around any changes in the weather and completed the work in a timely manner. I greatly appreciate George (owner) & his dad (carpenter work), & Servio, & Elder (paint crew) for the fine job they did. Their expertise and professionalism go a long way. I cannot say enough great things about all of them! Our house looks AMAZING!! Hire this business and this crew!!! You will not regret it!

I'm amazed at the quality of the work and the color match done on the ceiling. I also appreciate how they worked around my schedule when coming in and out and added a worker to finish within the week. George did a great follow up walkthrough to handle any touchups. I appreciate the thoroughness in which they covered and protected my furniture and moved everything back. Will definitely reach out again for any interior and exterior painting job. George's team is the best!

W7 returned and repaired the problem. Our next project was to change the 3 boat lifts from overhead to hydraulic. The project was completed in a timely fashion and on budget. Approximately 6 months later we experienced some problems with one of the lifts. W7 reviewed the problem and referred it to the lift manufacturer. A representative from the manufacturer inspected that problem and confirmed that it was a warranty issue and indicated they would order a part from one of their suppliers. This was about three months ago. We have heard nothing from that supplier or from W7 in the last three months. I have attempted to contact Howard multiple times and left messages. He has yet to return my call. I have attempted several times to set up a meeting with Howard through the W7 office. The office has not responded to my request in 2 weeks. My experience in getting a W7 warranty issue resolved has been totally disappointing. Howard and his team have failed on customer service. I have tried to explain that receiving bad news is much better than no news at all. It is obvious that neither Howard or his team subscribes to this philosophy. Steve Donahue 10-07-2021
