We scheduled a date and time for a quote and they were a no-show. We didn't even get a call or text letting us know they wouldn't make it. To be fair, the next day they did send a text asking to reschedule, so we weren't completely forgotten. However, when you take time off from work to meet someone and you just don't hear from them, it makes you question how reliable they will be if you do hire them. We used Premier Painting for most of the interior of our house this week. The painters were detail oriented and made sure our accent walls were clearly defined. We used him for holiday lighting last year. He offers the thing where you buy the lights the first year and then they will come install them for a reduced price the next year. We have the agreed to price for future years in writing from last year. He won't honor the price he gave us and wants more money to do it this year. David Downs (owner) and his team did an amazing job on our kitchen! I interviewed 3 companies before selecting Premier Painting (PP) to paint our cabinets and then distress them (as well as ceiling patch, texture, and paint for new lighting that was installed by an electrician). I hired PP for the job because David seemed to understand my vision best. He even offered to provide me with a sample before I hired him so that we could make sure that my vision and his vision were one of the same. No other company offered to do that for me. When he brought me the sample I could tell that he not only understood my vision, but he also took the time to create some alternative options for consideration which I appreciated. David and his team arrived on time to start the process and worked non-stop until the job was finished. Because I wanted black distressed cabinets, as well as ceiling patch, texture, and paint, this job was a process and took multiple days to complete, but PP was always respectful of my time and we were able to work around both of our schedules easily. I was very nervous about distressing the cabinets since there's really no going back to the originals once you start the process, but David and his team were very patient with me, starting out slow and always making sure each cabinet looked exactly how I wanted it to look. Neither David nor anyone on his team ever made me feel like they were inconvenienced by my requests. In fact, they always followed my requests with a smile and an "I'd be happy to" attitude which I very much appreciated! Once the job was completed by the team, David quickly followed up with me to confirm my satisfaction. It looks beautiful and we've already received so many compliments! Painted exterior of house. Overall, it was a good job. One of the painters did not did not cover porch properly; therefore the paint dropped in numerous places. There were a few places around the garage and outside door that were not coated well. These were not huge issues, but I was not totally satisfied; however, David sent Jessica to remedy the problem and she did an outstanding job. In our Austin home, had a very large vaulted wooden garage ceiling that needed painting. It was a very complicated space with lots of wooden beams and unusually high heights. I got several bids to paint my stained cabinets. Whereas Premier was not the lowest bid, for me it was also about feeling comfortable with contractors in my home. Right off the bat I felt very comfortable with David and his professionalism. David was so patient with me in selecting the right paint color. He got paint samples, painted cabinet door samples and did this a couple of times until I found just the right color. David and his team were wonderful. My cabinets turned out GREAT. David even came back and touched up areas that my tile person had messed up. I have gotten so many compliments on the cabinets. A few weeks later I wanted my living and common areas painted. David (owner) came to our house and gave a bid (that ended up being 100% accurate) for painting the entire house. It was the most competitive offer, but that's not the reason I chose Premier. David and team had an attention to detail that I've never found in other painters (or contractors for that matter). After this job was "done," the owner came back twice and an employee came back once to fix various holes, cracks and poorly replaced window treatments. A few days after the job, I discovered that the crew had turned down my air conditioner several degrees. I thought I had been so cold because the nights had gotten colder. I was given all sorts of apologies, but this was just sloppy work. Even this last week, a couple of weeks after the job, I found cracks that had not been taken care of. Finally, today, I discovered they had sprayed the leg of my dresser with about four inches of paint. My husband and I contacted Premier Painting to schedule a time to meet and receive a quote for painting the interior and exterior of our home. A day and time was scheduled only for no one to show up. My husband contacted Premier to find out why no one showed up and he received the excuse they lost our contact information. All we received was a simple 'I'm sorry.' We will be choosing another contractor to do our painting. If you can't show up on the date and time you as the contractor scheduled, it leads me to believe you won't be dependable to show up to complete the job.
