    Rich and chocolaty mocha
    Cheryl S.

Very interesting coffee house in the downtown section of Calumet. Traveling around the north western UP this week, we enjoy choosing a new local coffee shop each day and comparing their mochas. This 16 oz mocha in a ceramic mug looked creamy and chocolaty with cocoa sprinkled on top. The taste was wonderful; rich and not too sweet. It fell short of five stars due to the heat; it was warm but not hot enough. My husband said he would have given it a five stars rating anyway as the mug might make it less hot than a cup; he really enjoyed the flavor. The cafe is large with lots of room to sit and interesting items and art to explore. Liked the unisex bathrooms and the friendly staff. The place was clean. Definitely a solid choice for coffee, bakery items and hanging out.

Great spot - stopped in for lunch. Easy on street parking. Order & pay at counter, they bring to you when done. Some offerings were sold out by the time we got there. Ordered a sandwich - was delicious.

Gluten free, dairy free and vegan options! My favorite sandwich in the U.P. is located here. Not only do they have delicious food and drink options for me but they also have a cool earthy aesthetic with many plants, various colored plush sofas and large windows overlooking the heart of downtown Calumet. I love the little town of Calumet this shop is located in. If you go on a Saturday you may be able to catch the farmers market just across the street! Ordered: * Veggie Sammie + micro greens, sprouts, avocado, cucumber, onion, lettuce, tomato, KCW sauce + sub GF bread

The people were young and friendly, and the food was high quality. We got the tuna sandwich, espresso, and coffee. The place felt like a little restaurant in Paris. I would go again. Perfect spot for a meal or snack.

Menu is not super big so you don't have to choose from much. But the options you do get to choose from are still tough as they're all so unique. Prices are a bit high but service is nice and friendly. The coffee itself was okay. Had sort of hyped it up in my head and didn't quite live up to the expectations. May have to swing back around and try something else and see if it was maybe just what I got.

Back again and still excellent! This time we grabbed some blueberry and lemon poppyseed muffins to go - AMAZING! We got a peanut butter and jelly sandwich cookie - it's the way you WISH peanut butter cookies would always taste like. Just magic and melt in your mouth and punched in the face with peanut butter flavor. The dark chocolate toffee doughnut is decedent, silky and cakes. Definitely shareable. A pour over and cappuccino to go rounded out our snowy order. Love this place, wish we were here more often and will be a go-to place anytime we're in the Keweenaw.

I was not expecting such an excellent little spot. The Blood Orange Pistachio Latte was amazing. Never had one before and I plan to be back next time I'm up. The Brekkie Galette was delicious. Never had one before, but the flavor was excellent and flaky. My service couldn't have been friendlier and the coffee shop has a clean unique style. Love this place!

Visited for breakfast one morning. Not much on the menu for breakfast except galletees, bagels and coffee. This place was full of cool young hipsters and local folks, all queued up for coffee like a yooper version of Starbucks. Had to wait behind a line of hipsters for a gallette and coffee. The galletee was awesome, worth the wait.

Food and coffee were fantastic! The people were kind and the baked goods were fresh. It it's what I imagine a coffe shop should be.

It had large hunks of ground beef/pork, discrete and perfect cubes of potato, onion, and carrot, and no ubiquitous brown mystery gravy. I was particularly impressed that the tender cubes of veg were so perfect and not smashed. After I appreciated the beauty of the veg, I savored the perfect spicing of the moist filling. In the nippy, though sunny fall morning, the steam rose from my pastie. Gorgeous! Service? You step up to the walk-up window of Ramona's Bakery, lay down your cash, and tell the tall man what you desire. Honestly, I was expecting a Seinfeldian Soup Nazi, but instead there was a friendly, lovely dude who knew he was about to make your world better if you were a new patron. We sat in the sun to enjoy our pastie. We watched truck after truck stop, fathers in various states of apparel and consciousness popped out, got their order of bags of pasties, and drove off with smiles. Ambiance? This was a walk-up window, not a sit down restaurant, and yet there were chairs in the sunshine. Calumet is a sweet, welcoming town even for strangers with Florida license plates (it's a rental, for fox sake!). I'll be California dreaming of these pasties when I'm back home in my ag county of Monterey, two hours south of San Francisco.

I had the caramel sticky bun, and my husband had the key lime pie. Both were absolutely delicious. Take the time to stop by, and walk around the town also, some gorgeous older buildings.
