I have done CPR/FirstAid/AED training 2 times before (this was my third time) and I can honestly say that this was the best training I have ever done! Not only did I learn more in this training, but it was more enjoyable and a better use of my time (didn't drag on). The best part was that this was a hybrid course and I completed the majority of it online first - it is official Red Cross online training (you can even go back and access it later if you want as a refresher). The amazing part about it being online was the online training was very informative - it was very simulation based (like a video game) where you had to assess the situation and make different choices. I learned more this way than I ever did before because it was actually practical knowledge that I got to apply. Then by the time I attended in person we went over everything we learned online using the in person training aids (mannequins, AEDs, first aid bandages/wraps, etc.) and that was such a great reinforcement of what I learned online that this time the knowledge really sunk into my brain and I feel more confident knowing the skills than I ever have before. Also, in person the trainer, Brenden, was very entertaining and such a wealth of information. In addition to the training, he shared with us real life examples and stories to add to our knowledge which was very helpful. Because it is Covid, we wore our masks the entire time, sat 6 feet apart and had our own materials to work with (we didn't share and we didn't work with a partner). Earlier today I attended a KEY CPR Class that was instructed by Brendan Macias. The class was about 90 minutes and a very informative class. The office building was easy to find per the instructions included by the reminder email. We the students did a one on one with the class tools kits and dummies provided in the classroom. Went here to get re-certified for my Job. I can honestly say this was the best CPR class I took. It was hands on and to the point. There is an online part that has to be completed before class that takes about 2 hours. And in class it's about 2.5 hours but it goes by fast! Scam artists. They take your money, even if you're sick, can't get a sitter, have a change of plans, or are late to class. They claim you can reschedule with an email but they never respond. Hope they sleep well at night knowing they are thieves that took money for a service they didn't perform. We were certified thru another company for only $15 total so do your research on pricing. I wouldn't recommend doing business with a company that ignores customer emails and doesn't offer rescheduling services......obviously life happens. They just want your money. read more

My sister and I wanted to get recertification on our First Aid/CPR class since ours expired years ago. Our instructor was Curtis. Right off the bat, you can tell he was going to be a cool and laid back teacher. Curtis is a professional and was professional in this course. He made sure that before we moved on, that we were confident in what we just learned. Any questions we had, he took his time on answering it. We never felt rushed. Curtis also had a great sense of humor because I was struggling on tying a certain knot. I didn't know the class was watching me struggle. As I tried my hardest to mimic Curtis' knot, Curtis jokingly said, "I'll be grading you on your knot." I would have failed. Great course! Highly recommend! read more

This review is solely based off my experience with Brenden's customer service as I did not get a chance to participate in his class. I only bought his course because my 8 month old baby almost choked and left me traumatized. I went on Google and found all the 5 star reviews and decided to purchase his class. My scheduled date was for 5/28/2021 at 9:30am and I was eagerly anticipating this day. I rushed out of my house that morning and left my baby with a baby sitter. When I arrived Brenden asked for my completion of the online portion and I had NO clue that I had to take the online course beforehand. I never saw the email with the online course link until after Brenden mentioned it to me. It was in my spam folder. The only email I ever saw was the reminder email. He said I would need to reschedule and I was bummed, but there was nothing much that I could do. He sent me an email that night and it said that I needed to pay $45 extra to reschedule. Below the Reschedule/Transfer policy it shows $25. Not sure why he would charge me $45. Anyways, I did ask him if he could please waive the $45 since it wasn't my fault that I didn't see the email and to be honest it is a high fee. If I had knowledge of the online course beforehand and I didn't take it then I would accept the $45, since it was my fault; but since I didn't see that email with the online course link, I honestly thought I would have to take it after the in person class. He denied my request of waiving the fee after I explained all that I am writing here. If it was the $25 fee like mentioned in his policy, then I wouldn't mind. It sucks that I had this experience. I really had my hopes high for this place. I also paid $15 for the First Aid Kit. I am hoping that I at least get my money back for that. read more

This company is really effective! First of all I loved the online learning, it helps prepare you for the class time, it helps you retain the information you need to know, and its very straight forward and easy to move through. The material is covered in a series of interactive videos which repeat important information that will be critical to saving a life, if you should ever be in a situation where you need to save someone. Being in the classroom for an hour and a half went very quickly, and the class mannequins help you put the online skill videos to use, and give you the confidence you'll need to implement the CPR protocols. This was worth every penny, and Brenan the instructor was terrific, he kept the class informed, moving, and added life experiences to help in some critical situations. Curtis was our instructor today. My wife Katie and I have been certified for over a decade and we re-certify every two years. This was the best class yet! Curtis' real world experience in emergency situations is helpful with learning and remembering the importance of these skills and being able to handle yourself under pressure. He is great with feedback on live skills and giving pointers on how to react in real life situations. I highly recommend this company and especially this instructor. I am a healthcare worker that requires active CPR certification in order to work & with the COVID 19 pandemic, it was extremely difficult to find a certification class. Key CPR was one of the few places with ongoing classes and they were very mindful of precautions to keep everyone safe and healthy. The classes were limited to 6 people and PPE were provided. After researching numerous BLS training facilities who offer certification via The American Heart Association or Red Cross, I chose Key CPR for numerous reasons. They are certified through Red Cross, offered a hybrid class (online/in class) and had an open class within the timeframe I needed. The online lecture was very informative, easy to complete, no glitches and allowed for you to complete at your own pace. After completing the online lecture portion, I attended an in-class session.
