At the time, I had chosen a nation wide lender, I was familiar with, and they had given me a preapproval letter. Since we were moving from out of state to new Hampshire and even though we were not asking for a mortgage from Blue Water, Chad went out of his way to describe what we could expect at closing on a property in NH. During the search process, I sought Chad's advice several time and he gave it freely. Subsequently, the larger national bank mortgage fell through for technical reasons. We were informed of this only 1 week before closing and we had to scrape up the mortgage money by borrowing against the equity in our brokerage account. After closing, we went back to Blue Water for a cash out mortgage to repay our brokerage loan. I found that Blue Water both were very professional and kept us informed throughout the process. Chad and Ann worked with us and we closed in a very short time, saving us interest payments on the equity loan. We were able to close at a lower rate than we expected. Such a horrible, nasty experience. We are experienced home buyers, so this was not our first…read morego-around. (Multiple homes and multi-family properties) Everything was going well. We were given a wonderful rate, and we made it clear how happy we were with that rate and asked if we were locked in. We were told to sign a form and we would be all set. Well nope. About a week before closing they informed they said okay we are going to lock your rate in...it's now .275% more than it was before. Excuse me? First of all we made it clear months prior that we wanted to lock and were told we were all set. Secondly, WHY weren't we informed that the rates were going up? We were so upset. We spoke to our reps supervisor, manager, and it made its way to a corporate VP and EVERY step got worse. Everyone was nasty, smug, unprofessional. This VP straight up said "well my employee didn't give all the right info, you guys also didn't ask the right questions." WHAT! So nasty and unprofessional. We got a call from the VP saying that the rate doesn't even matter anymore, we can't close because the appraisal came back lower than we thought. It was two days before closing. Conveniently and suddenly the appraisal is the issue? So we had to let the rate issue go for now. Well two days later they said they did a drive by appraisal and it came in RIIIIIGHT at the price we offered. How perfect. And then they said if we continued about the rate after that then they wouldn't close. Nice. They got really rude to not only myself, my husband, and my realtor. One example was at closing, when a processor said "I'm getting really sick of dealing with this account" to my realtor. It's closing day, keep your nasty comments to yourself for 10 more minutes, you unprofessional, smug, horrible people. Costing us thousands and thousands of dollars and you can't even answer an email with tact. Save yourself a lot of stress, and a ton of money, and go elsewhere. Please.

They matched me with United Wholesale Group and told me that the mortgage would be sold BEFORE the first payment was made... Well, it was sold by United Wholesale Group to a subsidiary of theirs Shore Mortgage. Look up Shore Mortgage, I think my 7 year old could design a better, more complex and secure website and they charge you $7.50/mo to make a payment on the internet unless you fill out paperwork for withdrawals the same date each day of the month. I have left many messages with Shore demanding the loan be sold to a "real institution" and I have not had any resolution as of yet. The closing attorney was supposed to HOLD the check for 3 business days, rescind clause in New Hampshire but deposited the check the same day as the closing. Calls to his office, 2 of them to figure out what was going on were surprisingly never returned. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!
