I wanted to take a few beginner accessible yoga classes while in Key West. This place turned out to be very excellent. I signed up online, for three classes, every other day and enjoyed every minute. The setting is serene in a lush but clean shaded jungle garden out back of a beautiful house with a water feature providing soothing sound energy. Victoria and Lauren were excellent teachers. I recommend both. My last class had a much smaller number of students so Lauren kindly took a little time to provide input on the poses so I can improve. I am enjoying this yoga journey filled with learning, meditation, flexibility, strength and positive vibes. Life is good with Yoga Sanctuary! read more

Popped in for a class while on vacation. The garden space is magical -- who doesn't love outdoor yoga? Reminded me a bit of Yoga Barn in Bali. Natalia was a great teacher and gave really helpful alignment tips throughout. I usually opt for a Hatha or Iyengar class, but she made Vinyasa really enjoyable. read more

At this establishment I found more hardcore yoga folks - but that could have been because I had unknowingly signed up for what was apparently an advanced class (oops). Beginners beware. But the instructor helped me and provided modifications. Convenient location on Duval (the quiet end - not the crazy end). Juice bar located in the sanctuary. A nice option for getting your vacation yoga on. read more

I was on vacation in Key West, and I dropped in for a sunrise yoga session. Heather was the instructor, and it was held in the garden. What a beautiful setting! Posting on behalf of my wife: When traveling to Key West for my wedding I was in need of a zen yoga studio to keep me balanced and at peace (no bride-zillas here!). Key West Yoga Sanctuary was excellent! The instructor was warm and welcoming, and it was a bonus to find a studio where I could borrow a mat and props for my practice. The class was a good challenge but I appreciated how the instructor walked around to help students with their poses. My only words of advice would be to label that the entrance to the studio is in the back of the building, not the front where the store is. At 6am I was a bit confused! I joined the Key West Yoga Sanctuary at the end of May. I couldn't be happier. The studio is lovely and peaceful with plenty of top level props available to all students. (free of charge) This comes on handy of you're just visiting Key West and would like to attend a class. The staff is top notch. They are professional and truly love teaching their students. Nice, quiet spot just off of Duval Street that is very quiet. The pedestrian-freindly spot is tucked behind Date and Thyme and The Green Pineapple and does not have ample bike parking, so plan ahead. The floors, mats and props are fresh and clean. The instructors (I have had several during the past five visits) are all sweet and versed. For the most part, it's a nice change from my usual Bikram practice. I do find that the classes are challenging and the types of yoga offered here are great for runners and casual athletes. Like most studios in town, they don't offer many early or late classes. Locals, snowbirds and visitors will likely enjoy the studio. read more

I attended a morning yoga and meditation class on my trip to Key West as Miss New York International 2019. It was so refreshing to get a good workout in and stretch. The class was spacious and was taught at the perfect pace. Gretchen was the instructor and was so friendly and helped everyone reach the best of their personal ability. The lady who own the place is rude , I enter one day cause it was my first time to come to key west and I ask her nicely with smile on my face is it just yoga and she answr yes it's just yoga, I said nicely well I just came to key west do u have maybe an idea where there is a gym in the area she said in a very un pleasant way , no I don't know , we don't do gym here we don't run we do only yoga and I could see how mad she was , she is skinny long blonde fake hair with glasses and probably very hungry ! read more

I was in Key West for four or five days and went to classes at Key West yoga Sanctuary. I had three different teachers and am very picky. I have to say that each of the teahcers was very good. They allowed variations to either make the pracitse more or less challanging. The other practioners were also very nice. read more
