Locksmith work truck parked in front of hut.

Terrible locksmith business misleading its customers. Found this place online and indicated open for business. Showed up for a key copy only to find a closed locksmith hut with open signs posted in public and an hours of operation sign on the window informing general public that it was in fact open for business but no employees to be found. Huge waste of my time. Called the info line for this business and I was told it was closed for business that day (Sunday) despite the posted signs indicating otherwise. Very unprofessional business. I don't recommend anyone waste their time coming here.

These guys are scammers. They price gouge and take advantage of people. The job was poorly done and quality was subpar for what they charged. I'm not sure if these people are licensed or legitimate. I original contacted b and a locksmith but was charged through this company. It seems like a fake company that was set up on Google

Boy was I freaking out when I left my keys in my house 7pm at night. And of course it was when my husband was out of town. I quickly called my husband and of course he went straight to Yelp. Key Zone already great reviews and offered services 24/7 so why not right? Called the number listed immediately got in touch with a human thank goodness. I couldn't catch his name because yenno nerves. He took down my address and let me know someone would get back to me within 10-15 mins and show up between 20-40 mins. Sure enough Zack called me about 15 mins later and let me know he was about 10 mins out. Zack was so nice, he definitely made me feel at ease! He tried his best not to damage my door and after about 10 mins he was able to get my door open! He made sure he cleaned up any mess that had happened and double checked my lock that it was in working order. I'm super thankful that they were so responsive and got the job done. Hopefully I'll never have to use them again! But if someone ever needs a locksmith I'll be recommending Key Zone. read more

Anthony was great and got my key done right away. No kiosks that give you a key that doesn't work. Just old school keys made right away. Bring cash unless you're spending more than $20 then you can use your credit/debit card. Thanks Anthony! read more

I came in to do a Ford Focus FOB backup (I was only given 1 FOB when I purchased the car). The programming was tricky (not because of Key Zone but because Ford has multiple FOB options that they themselves aren't clear about)... but Key Zone stuck with it until it worked. I know other locksmiths who would have given up. I thanked the guy for not giving up on me... and he responded "I never give up if my customers don't give up!" Never been a fan of writing review. But this could help others from going to Key Zone. I went to Winnetka yesterday to visit a friend, stopped by to this locksmith to have my garage clicker fixed or replace. The man said he will do it. Since he was still attending another client , I quickly went to a grocery store close by, when I come back he said its done and charged me 45$, he then hand me a used and very old car key remote with my broken clicker. I ask him to use a new and real garage clicker and he said it will cost me 60 and I said its fine, he then told me he doesn't have a new one. Just turned away and did not waste anymore energy to the man. Save your day and money! Stay away from this guy from key Zone. By the way the clicker he gave me didn't work. read more

Amazing and professional service! I bought a novelty key blank from Amazon, hoping they can duplicate an existing key onto the novelty blank. But because my existing key is a bit unique, we weren't sure if it'd work. I didn't catch the keysmith's name but he explained to me what to look for when buying a blank (Schlage vs Kwikset grooves). He then still keyed the novelty blank for me to go home and try - for free! They've definitely earned a customer for life and once I've confirmed the novelty key works, I'm getting more key duplicated with Key Zone. (It's a little kiosk near the Carl's Jr in the lot) read more

Actually showed up earlier to fix door lock for my brother's broken latch, thumb press, springs, & door lock. I suggest you text him photos of issue in advance for proper analysis. See the sad BEFORE pics for broken springs & latch.. Joesph gave a reasonable & competitive quote, especially when prices have inflated everywhere. He also accepts credit card payments, but cash is best to support him as a small business owner. Given the challenges with the preexisting drilled hole in the door, he was able to get creative & install the brand new Kwikset after the initial Schlage replacement brand didn't fit correctly. He adjusted the door hinges & tightened the exterior base border as a courtesy. He also made extra copies of the keys. Extremely knowledgeable & kind. Works very hard & cares to make needed repairs properly. He kept going back & forth to his vehicle to grab all the necessary tools & parts. He also tested the duplicates to ensure it was working. Also, the fake Yelpers with the invalid horrible 1 star reviews are wrongfully trying to sabotage his business. This should be reported to Yelp as fake & completely out of character to his other validated stellar 5 star reviews. Just awful when Joseph relies upon his reputation & professionalism. Got in touch, they sent a technician over in about 20min exactly, the technician had spent over 30min trying to open to bottom lock, and he was successful, i almost had my doubts, but he pulled it off, and i was just amazed by the technicality. He gave me a great deal of replacing the bottom lock, and re-installing a new lock, which was going to be a different key, but he gave me another awesome to deal to have 1 key work for a different top and bottom lock. Would highly recommend Northridge lock & key to anyone and everyone.

When he arrived he didn't even try to open it and said he would need to drill it for $250, and then charge an additional $250 for a new lock. When I said absolutely not, he then said he could take $200 off if I wrote a good review, to which I said, so you can do this cheaper? I made the decision to say no because the vibe he gave me was just horrible business so then told him no and that it's way too expensive to just pick a lock. While I was trying to pay him the $30 for the drive, he kept lingering saying the charge is supposed to be $50 for the service drive instead of $30. WHAT A ******* COMPLETE SCAM!!!! I called another company and they were able to pick the lock for $160 + $30 service drive. Avoid this place at all cost.

These guys are very knowledgeable and professional. I was curious so I asked them if they worked on keys that have a transponder. To my surprise they said yes and asked me about the vehicle and to bring it over to them and a working key. They took care of me and I was able to have keys made for two of my cars. My keys wore out over time and was no longer able to turn the ignition unless I jiggled and coaxed it to turn. The dealerahip would charge me an arm and a leg to make a new key so I was seeking an alternative. Very friendly and courteous service. You won't be dissapointed. Just bring your car over to them and they do the rest! They have a good attitude and enjoy their work. That's why I'm not surprised a lot of people kept coming in to have their keys made. I didn't think that was possible but they were taken care of. A buddy of mine needed a key made and I told him about these guys and where they were located. He's going to go this week. I told him it was kind of pointless to have the key taped to the steering column and have it fall down on the carpet. I told him he could have made made on the spot! i had been to several keyshop/locksmiths to get a duplicate of my car key, its an old car and an old key type.. no one wanted to cut my key even at the most expensive rates. I came to Key-Zone today, Anthony was really helpful he went out of his way to call someone to help him identify my key, and even though the person on the other line advised him it was to hard to cut that he would advise against it as the other places told me. Anthony was confident he could do it. Since he was the only one that would at least try i asked to get 3 keys cut. He cut all three AND literally walked to my car and tested each one off the keys. They all worked on the first try. Then he even gave me a discount. i know any other place would have taken the opportunity to charge me more. I've only had one key for my car, with only the valet key as a spare. I called in, was quoted a great price over the phone and was told what time I could expect him at the shop, since he was out on another service call. When I arrived the owner was there, and he worked really hard & patiently, on this key copy job, as my original car key was pretty worn down (the grooves were barely visible), but he kept at it till he got the perfectly cut key. He used a combination of my valet and original key to get the job done, super creative! The job took longer than expected, but I didn't mind waiting as I could see that he was really trying hard to make sure the job got done right, the first time. He stayed a little past closing time to get the work completed, and I ended up with a back-up key for the car door, for my time. Overall, great service, diligent work, great price, and dependable. When i found myself in a jam, these guys were able to help. I work as an armed security guard and had been storing my service weapon in a low grade portable case for several months on end while I had been performing work temporarily in a different industry. When i went to open the lock the other day, the manufacturers key broke inside the lock... I had my first armed security shift in four months less than 72hrs away and was deeply concerned about looking ridiculous. Fortunately, i looked up these guys among their competitors, and they had me stop by their business office (located in a fair size shopping center) and they were able to promptly get the lock open, (and without charging me a lot of money.) I went to the shop looking for a part to an old deadbolt lock they don't make any more. I didn't have any luck finding the part online so I started driving around to locksmiths within a certain mile radius. After about 4 unsuccessful tries I came across Key Zone. The 2 guys started looking through their miscellaneous parts and after awhile, low and behold there it was. Used but in great condition. They charged me such a small amount for the part that I felt obligated to get a couple of keys made (which I ended up needing anyway). The thing is, they knew I would have a hard time finding that part and could have charged me alot more for it. But they didn't. They were decent men just helping someone out. Two days ago I unfortunately broke my car key and i was in need of a lock smith so my sister and I drove to Sean and Ian's place of business Key Zone (which is conveniently near my sisters house) to make a copy and Sean gladly made me the copy. the process was very quick the wait time was no more the ten minutes. I re-used their services a few days after for a different vehicle that I unfortunately lost the keys to. As soon as I called for their services they were at my home within 30-45minutes, (located in Thousand Oaks) Sean and Ian quickly started working and got the job done. I wish I asked for the name of the guy who fixed my car remote so I can say my thanks to him through Yelp. But nonetheless, my experience today at Key Zone was great! The guy who was working there alone fixed my car remote. He was so nice and very accommodating. I personally would recommend this establishment because the guy who is working here is so nice and kind and he will tell you everything you need to know about your car key and remote especially if you are a new driver like me. A tenant inadvertently broke off the mailbox key in the lock. My handyman retrieved the stuck piece of key. I took that piece to Key Zone and they were able to replicate a whole key. Which worked and saved me from buying and installing a replacement lock. They are wizards and are awesome!!! This wasn't my first interaction with Key Zone so I knew right away where to go when today's trouble landed at my feet. Added plus was that they are open on Sunday's. Don't trust this company. They will take advantage of you. My young female daughter locked out of our house. They needed to release the deadbolt, charged her $600. That's crazy. Sean and Ian were both very helpful and prompt with their service. They fixed my truck's key less entry in less than 15 mins and made me a couple of keys too! I had to duct tape the unit together to make it work and Key Zone had it fixed in no time at all.
