I was second in line and was taken by an associate into his office to serve me more quickly. He proceeded to look at my financial accounts, including my brokerage accounts, and upsell me for 10-15 minutes, delaying the deposit so he could offer me products and services. It's is the slimiest financial transaction I've experienced ever, and this is a bank I've given 40 years of loyalty to. And when it was finally time to make the deposit, he walked me up to the cash machine in the lobby. I spoke to the manager. It's clear he knows about the manipulation going on here. Then he gave me information about cashing a check that I know was incaccurate. Please avoid this branch at all costs.

The money is in the bank. There should be no need to hold it, especially when I have things to do and things to buy. One comes and takes the deposit and takes exactly 9 minutes before coming back with the receipt. For most of the 9 minutes, the bank manager was leaning on the tellers counter and chatting with the other tellers. He could not care less that we were waiting for 9 minutes for a simple deposit. Maybe he was on a break, either way totally irritating. I'm a platinum level customer with this bank and I am beginning to think that means they can take up all my time and give me terrible service. I didn't find a working Banner ATM until I got to Redmond. That one was actually really nice. But by then I had been driving around for 2 hours, and wasted a ton of gas.
