We we charged $30 each and played a total of 3 holes before after 20 minutes of play we get a message on the cart saying to come back in and return the carts because the course is closing. We come back in and ask for a possible refund or even a rain check. Before I even ask for a refund as I am explaining our issue he cuts me off and says we don't do refunds. I say a rain check is fine if possible and he says we close at 6 and there's nothing he can do. I explain to him we'd be happy to come back another day with the rain check and there way just misinterpretation on the closing time as it was the day of the daylight savings switch. He did not care and showed no apologies even though he's the one who offered the 5:15 tee time knowing that we would only be out there for no more than 20 minutes. When he offered that time with the full price there was no mention about an earlier closing time than listed on the website. I find this to be terrible business practice and a terrible way to take care of your customers, at any other golf course this would typo be a rain check at there very least. We were scammed out of $120 total to say the least. This course clearly does not treat its customers with decency.

The lady up front told us 4:40, and that we can squeeze in if nobody's at the first hole, so we squeezed in around 4:25. The lady comes out and tells us "can you guys let these gentlemen go, because they were here first in a very rude and disrespectful tone. We then proceeded to play, then when we had one hole left, a guy came by and yelled out us for having the cart of the cart path, which was barely off the cart path, and that course is not the nicest so its not going to hurt it anymore than it already is. He also yelled at us and told us to leave because it was to late, i've played there before and they didn't care then. If you are rude to your customers who over pay for a cheap trashy course and then add rudeness to that, that just shows how disrespectful and rude those people are, and how they don't care about anything other than money.

The length of the course is perfect. With just the right amount of hazards, water, and sand traps, you'll definitely be challenged, but they're not so difficult that you'll be ridiculously discouraged. I don't actually play: I ride shotgun, search for balls, and try hard to stifle laughs....annnnnd I enjoy the magnificent view as the course wraps around the east side of Lake Ponca. We talk often of visiting neighboring courses, but mostly we come here. When you're through your round, stop by the clubhouse for a delicious bite to eat. For an extra treat, dine out on the veranda overlooking the greens with a perfect view of the lake. If you need supplies or a snack for the road, visit the neighboring pro shop. The Canyons & Blackjack Ridge - Sand Springs, OK…read more We recently played a round at The Canyons at Blackjack Ridge in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Overall, it was a memorable experience with some highs and a few drawbacks worth noting. This is a challenging course with lots of doglegs, blind tee shots, and narrow greens. Elevation changes throughout the course added to the difficulty and made for a scenic round. It's definitely a course where local knowledge helps -- some holes required careful club selection and positioning due to hidden greens or tee boxes. The greens were in good condition and rolled true, which was a highlight. For a municipal course, the maintenance was impressive, especially given the complexity of the layout. This is a unique layout, but one thing to be aware of: several holes overlap or run close to each other. We had multiple instances of errant balls coming from nearby fairways, so stay alert throughout the round. We played on a hot day (around 90°F) and were disappointed that there was no drink cart available. However, the staff in the clubhouse were friendly and attentive, which helped make up for it. We visited on a busy Saturday, and the pace of play was about 4 hours -- very reasonable given the traffic and course difficulty. This course is worth checking out, especially if you're up for a challenge and enjoy elevation changes.

Played this course aug 18th…read more Staff was great. The property is In great shape as well. The course has a nice layout. There's a few dog leg holes. You can get away with less than good course management but you are rewarded for hitting smart shots off the tee box. Fairways were in good shape. Greens were in pretty good shape but you can tell people don't fix their ball marks. Fix your ball marks people!!!!!!!! Also the bunkers were some of the nicest and best maintained I've seen in a while. The twilight rate was good. 34 with a cart on a nice course is better than average value. Golf carts have gps as well. I will play this course again.
