I was pleasantly surprised. The food dished out by these ladies was awesome - hot, savory, and authentic. They were out of pork so I had to order the chicken egg rolls. Not my fave...but still pretty good. The Beef Basil Box was great, complete with my favorite Thai style peanut/coconut sauce and sticky rice on the side - yum! I love good Thai food. When we entered the restaurant, there was a sign that says sushi only available during the weekend. We decided to order the Thai food to go. Cute restaurant with umbrellas hung in the ceiling and cherry blossom tree/leaves. We were greeted at the entrance and the server apologized about the sushi. The food was made quick.

It was quite good, though a little heavy on the salt, which I suspect was the MSG, and not quite enough true mushroom flavor. But after a long day mountain biking, it was really a great meal. I think that this restaurant is really a great addition to what Crosby has to offer. I would highly recommend for meat, eaters and vegetarian folks alike. The service is friendly. We were greeted shortly after entering. The restaurant was fairly busy, with many others dining in, and many takeout orders coming in as well, but we were seated right away! Several employees checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our food throughout our dining experience! They have many vegetarian and gluten free options. They also have some vegan options or items that can be made vegan upon request! We had the cream cheese wontons as an appetizer! The filling was very smooth and creamy and slightly sweet. We also had pad see yew with tofu and pad thai with mock duck. The servings are generous and each entree can easily last for 2 meals. They include a lot of the protein of choice, which I greatly appreciate. Some thai restaurants ask you for your desired level of spice, but we weren't asked here. They were mild (no spice) by default. The pad see ew had a savory, slightly sweet flavor. The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the Chinese broccoli had a nice little crunch. The pad thai had a good balance of sweet, salty, and savory. For dessert we had the mango sticky rice! The mango wasn't particularly ripe, but the coconut milk provided the perfect amount of sweetness. I enjoy Nong's Thai and would recommend it!
