Updated from previous 2 stars, didn't think it could get worse. Came back here just for sides since we needing something to compliment food we were cooking at home and they can't even get the easy stuff right. We ordered 3 sides of Mac n cheese and 3 sides of fries, and had to pull around to wait 5 minutes for some reason. Got our food finally and they were missing one of the Mac n cheeses so we had to go back in and wait for someone to acknowledge us since the worker in the drive thru window was sitting on his phone, and when someone finally came by they went to go get another Mac n cheese while also on their phone. No customer service, didn't get a receipt, everyone mumbling words like cavemen. Definitely not coming back here again unless they can get workers who can actually work. read more

The food isn't the problem here, it is the rude customer service. I went through drive through 2 days in a row and got completely different experiences. The first day was great although I found it weird that they asked me to pull around the corner when there was nobody behind me. The second day, the girl rolled her eyes at me and was incredibly rude as I was paying, and when she came to give me my food (again I had to pull around the corner) she stood as far away from my truck as possible to hand me my food and I could barely reach it. I drove into the drive thru at 9:35 on a Sunday night. I was told they were closed. I drive away and as I am passing the front there is a man inside getting a drink. I decided to park and try the door It was opened so I walked in. This makes sense because the sign on the door states they close at 10PM When I speak to the person at the register she tells me they have no food and that they stop serving at 9:30. Horrible service and unprofessionalism. They shut it down 30 minutes early but claim they are opened until 10. Smh. Bad business practices. Made me wonder if their General Manager knows they are doing this. read more

Thank goodness for KFC coming to Grovetown! My husband and I haven't eaten KFC since college, which was a couple of years ago. I'm glad to see that KFC is closer to the residents of Columbia County instead of driving to Augusta when craving their chicken. I gave KFC Grovetown a 4-star rating not because of the food, but of the cleanliness of the establishment. You can tell that the employees are super busy with the customers coming through their drive-thru and inside of the restaurant. However, it doesn't take away from their signature items and delicious chicken. My husband ordered the 1 Breast Fill-Up and I ordered the Chicken Little Combo. Our orders were really good and if you have the opportunity, please order the Mountain Dew Sweet Lightning. It's so good and resembles a peach soda, which is different for KFC. Columbia County residents, please be patient with the staff and establishment as they're freshly new and trying to find a rhythm. I would recommend people coming here and getting your KFC cravings fulfilled! read more

The ONLY things that I don't like about KFC in Grovetown, GA 30813 is that sometimes they don't accept cash and sometimes this KFC isn't open during lunch time hours. I love the hot wings and original recipe chicken and they have good sides and GREAT iced tea Price is higher than other chicken takeout restaurants but again the food is good. read more

I don't know about the other stores but this KFC makes you buy a drink. I asked for a 5 pc tender with fries & slaw. My receipt also had a drink so I went in to get that corrected and was told it doesn't come separate like that. So we are obviously paying for it whether you get it or not. read more

This location is a complete joke and should close down. Their staff is incompetent and I doubt even going back to finish high school will help their level of ignorance. I placed an online order at 2:50 pm to be ready for pick up at 6:15 pm. You think over 3 hours notice would be enough time. My husband gets there to pick it up at 6:20 and is told they only prepare the order when the notice drops and they didn't have notice of our order yet even though it placed over 3 hours ago and was supposed to be ready 5 minutes ago. The manager is just an incompetent as the staff working under him. He refused to issue a refund and could only say they were making the order now. The biscuit was cold & hard. The mashed potatoes & gravy sent as good as I remembered. One piece of chicken was rubbery, as if it had been cooked awhile back. The other two pieces were not too bad. Even their coleslaw isn't as good as I remembered. Overall, I may buy more chicken, if I'm at the restaurant. Not worth the price of having it delivered. read more

The one star is for the decent fries. The chicken sandwich was the nasty patty from SpongeBob squarepants, the sandwich was tough and the mayo spread looked just as bad... I didn't try it to find out. They forgot mashed potatoes and gravy that came with my order, a sin as far as my fat ass is concerned. They also didn't give us any of the sauce or drinks we asked for. We've tried to give this place a few chances since opening but once again they disappointed. After ordering the $30 fill-up were told there would be a 6 minute wait for the fingers which I completely understand. Of course we were asked to pull around to the front. We even looked at our receipt to check the time. 30 minutes later our food finally arrived. When we got it home the chicken had a very bad flavor like the oil was bad. Absolutely wouldn't recommend. Food was made wrong so I politely asked if it would be remade. ( ordered a spicy chicken sandwich, there wasn't any sauce on the sandwich) after I asked the worker to remake it. the sandwich was snatched out of my hand and worker rolled eyes and said "whatever, it'll be 5min" 20min later I got my sandwich and got back to the car and again only a very small drop of sauce was on my sandwich. I hope to see the service within this establishment change, that or I truly hope they weed out the unprofessional employees, which there are A LOT of. I used to work for KFC, and if I spoke to or acted the way that these employees act towards customers, I would've been fired very quickly. My first visit was not terrible, but also not incredible. I got my food and left. No big deal. My second visit is where things got completely unacceptable. The drive-thru was backed up, but I expected that. After waiting 45 minutes, there was only one car left in front of me. I heard this customer order a family meal and the woman taking the orders said in a disgusting and unprofessional tone, "yeah well if you want that it'll be 35 minutes". I was baffled. I tried to make my order and she interrupted me when I tried to upsize my side to a large cole slaw. She said in a tone of annoyance, "ma'am. Ma'am. You need to listen. I cannot do that." I safely was ready to give up on my order but I just added on an extra cole slaw and pulled up. When I got to the window I asked to speak to the manager. A nice enough woman at first, that was until she turned around and told the employee taking my order that I was "upset because 'apparently' she had an attitude with me". The employee yelled loud enough where I could hear, "ain't nobody had an attitude with that girl!" I was completely annoyed but shrugged it off once again and got my food. Keep in mind I had ordered a Nashville hot tender dinner, and a Nashville hot colonel chicken sandwich. Easy enough right? Apparently they didn't have the sandwich, which no one told me. I got 5 miles down the road only to discover no sandwich. I drove back and my husband went in. The same employee stared at him in disgust and said, "we ain't got no chicken sandwiches so I took it off". You don't know how excited I was to get a KFC near me Gateway Blvd instead of driving out the back gate of Fort Gordon to get my fix. Well I've giving this location multiple tries and it's a hit or miss from service to food. Service when they first opened the management was horrible and unprofessional amongst themselves yelling at their employees which can be heard by customers but the chicken was good you just had to wait forever to get it which I will blame on high demand at the time. Maybe they needed someone to stay on them because the quality of food has dropped. Right Now not too much involvement with staff due to COVID and normally only the drive thru is open at peak times and doors are locked. I order always on Grubhub for pickup I had to go to drive thru tell them I placed my order through Grubhub then I was told to drive around and 10 mins later someone came to the door and said drive thru is open. I said Grubhub they asked for name and said your order is being worked now. Disappointing extra wait time. Lately it's been a miss with the food. Greasy not freshly cooked and smaller pieces drumsticks look like drummettes sometimes old pieces with with new. Small amounts in side containers. Chicken Not seasoned as usual missing that traditional original taste I could of seasoned chicken better than that or maybe it's the way it's been cooked in old grease perhaps that could be the main issue darker chicken. Not sure if it's worth it anymore at this location. Somethings need to change. Management maybe but definitely the quality control of the products and food cooked need to be addressed. I hear Popeyes will be coming in this area soon so I can't wait (Yay!!) then maybe KFC will up their game with competition nearby or at least come up to standard. One thing I will say the coleslaw is really good but they only gives you small amounts in containers. Maybe just purchased coleslaw and get chicken elsewhere that's where I'm at now. They use to put coleslaw which is a cold item at bottom of bag of sides with hot smash potatoes containers on top which was not good. I made a couple of complaints previously and this last time they put hot side items in one bag and slaw in another. I really appreciate that change hopefully that wasn't a one time change and other changes are coming or maybe Popeyes will be my go to especially if it's coming soon it will be near off the same exit. read more

This restaurant needs to be avoided. We get to the spot to order. We order. The lady asks if it's alright that it will be five minutes before the chicken is ready. We say that it's fine. We pull up to pay. They tell us to pull around the corner and they will bring us our chicken in three minutes. So we pull forward. Three minutes go by, no food. We give them a few more minutes. Still no chicken. We also had about four cars behind us get their chicken and leave. After about ten minutes of waiting, we went inside to see what was going on. They said that they had just dropped more chicken, and that it would be 17 minutes before we got ours. We were like nope, we had already been waiting longer than they told us and had given the chicken that should have been ours to the cars behind us in line. They even had trouble with how to go about refunding us. read more

Gave it 3 stars because it's about as good as any other KFC. Nothing was wrong with our food or our order. Everything was correct and looked freshly made. The staff was very friendly and kind, and the place looked clean from the drive through. I would definitely rate the service 5 stars, if there were categories. My family and I only eat KFC about once every 5 years, and on the occasion that we give it another chance, we quickly remember why we don't eat it often. We simply don't like it and we always feel sick afterwards. BUT if you're a KFC fan, you'll probably like this one. read more

Sadly the "can't get an order correct disease" has spread from Thomson, to Grovetown. Ordered (2) 2 piece combo dinners dark with potatoes and slaw, a chicken tenders with mash potatoes, slaw, biscuit, cookie and 1 piece of white chicken. We got (2) 2 piece dinners with white meat, biscuit and potato's, 1 piece of chicken, 3 drinks and nothing else. No slaw, no tenders meal, no cookie. I attempted to call the store to get a coupon for the missing items. I could drive back 24 miles to get the item, or I can go online to get the company to send us a coupon for the missing items. read more

We had a large order and it will be the last. We had a pickup order and were not willing to return to the store for a refund. Our chicken was extremely oily/greasy with the breading not sticking to the chicken, especially on the bottom of the bucket that were in a puddle of oil. Our fries were all cooked to a dark brown and had very little texture or flavor. Mashed potatoes were much more running than we are accustomed to. Gravy was as expected and the coleslaw was the only item that was normal from past experience with KFC. read more

Extremely pissed isn't the word. I order a 12 piece New Kentucky fried Wings. Asked the lady was the unsauced wings hot? She told me no. They were just regular wings! I said sure why not let me have them. This was 11 o'clock am. I got the food early because it's been raining and is going to be raining at night. So I decided to grab dinner early. Fast forward. I'm feeding my children dinner at 4pm. Give my CHILDREN these REGULAR wings (so she says) my kids are hollering at the top of their lungs. I taste the wings. They are freaking hot!!! Call them tell whatever girl that answered the phone and she couldn't care less. She told me I'm sorry that all those wings are hot but seemed completely unbothered and didn't care. Me and my family was happy about the KFC coming to the area. Makes me mad that their workers don't know the menu and don't care for the customers especially if they have given me HOT chicken for my children.
