What occurred during this visit confirmed exactly why I typically avoid this restaurant. While placing my breakfast order in the drive-thru, the employee taking my order informed me that I should not order two hash browns because the Hotcakes Breakfast already comes with one. I politely explained that one hash brown was for me and the other was for my daughter. There was complete silence. I then asked, "Did you get that?" Instead of receiving a professional response, another employee abruptly came on the speaker and said, "Pull around, she got that." The tone was rude, dismissive, and completely lacking in basic customer service skills. The situation became even worse when I arrived at the payment window. The employee working the window, a woman with long auburn hair who refused to provide her name when asked, took my payment and then walked away from the payment window to the pickup window without saying a single word to me. She did not tell me to pull forward. She did not acknowledge me. She simply disappeared, leaving me sitting at the payment window for approximately two minutes wondering if anyone was coming back. Eventually, I drove forward to the pickup window myself. I calmly stated that someone should have informed me to move up to the next window instead of leaving me sitting there with no communication whatsoever. Her response was shocking. She immediately slammed the window shut in my face and, before doing so, clearly stated, "Holy shit." Let me be very clear: no customer should ever be subjected to that type of treatment. Being ignored, spoken to rudely, left waiting without explanation, having a window shut in your face, and then being cursed at by an employee is completely unacceptable and reflects extremely poorly on the management and culture of this location. I am genuinely concerned about what type of supervision is taking place if employees feel comfortable behaving this way toward customers. This was not a minor misunderstanding or a simple customer service mistake. This was repeated unprofessional conduct by multiple employees during a single interaction. I fully intend to file a complaint with McDonald's Corporate regarding this incident and will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I expect this matter to be investigated, including identifying the employee working the drive-thru and pickup windows at approximately 6:50 a.m. on May 25. Customers deserve to be treated with professionalism, respect, and basic courtesy. Nothing about this experience met those standards. I look forward to receiving a response regarding what corrective action will be taken.
