New here to Kansas City,...my first time was Sunday night I pulled in at 8pm, they close at 9pm and they had already closed down the friers. So menu was limited. I wanted the Saiceless hot wings. The following Sunday,...at 3pm I had parked at Walmart and walked over to KfC,....the doors were locked,...as I was leaving they came and opened the door. I walk in and the floors and tables are nasty,....biscuit and chicken crumbs on the lobby floor,..and floors were sticky, mind you there are no customers in the parking lot. I see at least 3 workers, I went for the same thing as it's my usual from KFC,..the saiceless hot wings. I finally get my wings and see that I was rung up for NASHVILLE HOT WINGS,....$17 for the 12 pc and it's not the chicken I wanted! I wasn't going to argue,...I just accepted their mistake and now I know to NEVER to come this place EVER again. So many red flags and I didn't read reviews until I paid for my food and waited on it. This KFC is so low-performing. I'll review our last three visits. On the first visit, we were told at 4:30 pm that they were out of chicken and wouldn't have any more the rest of the night. Thinking maybe that's just a one off, we tried again a month later. On the second visit at 7:15 pm we were told that they were out of original chicken and had limited extra crispy. (Not enough for an order) So no chicken for us! The third visit was an absolute 'roll-the-dice-and-take-my -chances'. I placed the order at the drive thru. They actually took my order so I was hopeful. I drove up, paid for the order and received it. The bag was not packed well as items were sideways, and all the butter spread was at the bottom of the bag which made everything else tipsy. When we got our home and unpacked the order THERE WAS NO CHICKEN! UNBELIEVABLE! I called the store in frustration. After 15 rings, the manager picked up. I told him what happened and he was in disbelief. Kept asking me 'there was no chicken?' I repeated it four times. I asked for a coupon or some kind of recompense since I had to drive ALL THE WAY BACK to get my chicken. The manager offered an extra side. I asked for the next size up in my meal order: from a12 piece to a 16 piece. He absolutely refused! Offered me a chicken sandwich, or chkn nuggets. I asked again for an additional four pieces. He said he couldn't do that. I told him that I didn't need more sides and didn't want chicken nuggets. Raising his voice at me, he said 'I'll give you the chicken'. Then hung up. Hey! You know-- this is not my fault so why is he yelling at me??? When I went back to pick up my chicken, the young (and incompetent) young girl who took my original order was at the counter. I told her I was here to pick up my chicken. She got flustered and went looking for it. The music was so loud it was difficult to hear anything, honestly. The employees were enjoying themselves immensely. I asked to speak to the manager. He told her he wasn't coming up. I said 'he's avoiding me?' She said 'no, he's bedding chicken'. I said 'bedding chicken?? I don't believe that. Tell him to stop avoiding me and come up here.' What is bedding chicken, anyway?' Then little miss incompetence got an attitude and yelled 'have a nice day' and 'bye'. I'm sure she exhausted her limited supply of mouthy come-backs with those two phrases. Poor girl. She is over her head in this job. I left with my chicken. I recommend that KFC fans choose any other KFC location than 9551 NE 83rd Terr. (Liberty area). I hope that corporate is able to make some serious improvements. Until then, avoid this location. read more

I will give it this, the staff was friendly enough, and my order was both on time and correct (online order). That's about where it ends... the chicken was just not great, I don't wanna be mean cause maybe it has always been subpar and my palette has been ruined by the food I have eaten in my life, or maybe .. just maybe this place of just a bad restaurant I don't recommend this place unless you are using something recreationally. Visited at noon on a Friday and was surprised to have the dining room to myself. I was greeted when I walked in, and asked to wait a moment. The staff seemed swamped with drive-through orders. I ordered the two-piece breast and thigh combo. My order was delivered pretty quick. The fries were served pretty cool; the extra-crispy chicken was satisfactory. Although the place looks pretty new, the dining room could use a good cleaning. Compared with fast food chicken restaurants in the area, I think this location will provide an average experience. read more

I would give zero or negative if I could! This store is disgusting and the people are extremely rude! And this is gonna be a little long so I apologize! DO NOT go to KFC in Liberty, well Kansas City....went there and got food but when got home and got ready to eat, there was NO WAY in hell I was eating this, I wouldn't even feed it to my dog (and I don't have a dog!!) so I immediately drove back up there and asked for fresh food, (beings how you can tell this food has been sitting there for hours before they gave it to us!) I was not rude or anything and this lady tells me there are no refunds and if I want replacement food it's going to be 45 mins so I'm like fine I guess I'll wait here then. There were about 5 other customers in the store and one of them even said something about the chicken being extra crispy when I said no actually it's original and this man's face said it all!! Lol!! So I call their corporate office and tell them the situation. By now I've been sitting there for like 30 mins when this other lady comes in. They help the other customers and then this lady looks at me and says "what do you need?" Me: I'm waiting for my order that's being remade...(and I know I looked confused as hell when she asked me this) Her: well there are no refunds and your food is right here ( talking about the food I just brought back) me: no that food is disgusting and extremely old and I did not pay for 5 hour old food..I mean seriously would you eat this?? I had previously order the Fill Up Box on a whim and was glad that I did. This time though I ordered it along with some mash potatoes and gravy for my wife. I was told at the window that they only had legs and thighs and I said it was okay. I was given my order in several boxes, guess they were out of the fill up box, and I should have check on the order before I left. When I got home, the four pieces of chicken were 2 legs, 1 thigh and 1 very small wing. Small as in I could put it in my palm and almost close my fist around it without squeezing. The nuggets and fries shared a box and while I not sure, felt like it was smaller portions than what came it the regular box. I will probably order it again as the first time was great if it is a repeat of the second time I will consider going back to Price Chopper for my fried chicken. PS, the first time was during dinner hours while the second time was just after lunch so I'm sure that played a part in the issues. read more

GO TO ANY KFC BESIDES THIS ONE! Horrible, horrible, horrible. These people sell garbage and without doubt know it! Chicken was overcooked, dry, greasy and cold - we honestly believe it was stale chicken refried, and judging by the extreme amount grease - actually DRIPPING off some of the pieces - this can only be the case. It was thrown out. Corn was old with a brown tinge, dried out, and cold. Appeared to have been tossed in the microwave with NO water added. Biscuits so old and hard not a single one of our party of 7 would take more than one bite. "Mashed Potato" was also undoubtedly old, as it had actually started to yellow! All in all, it was a pathetic excuse for food. How anyone could have the nerve to sell this is beyond our comprehension. This was a carryout order - I bet anything they would never have the gall to serve an in-store customer this crap. Store would NOT answer the phone even when letting it ring over 30 times. No wonder, as they surely knew what the call was for. We sent a two page letter with photos of the garbage we paid over $40 for to Louisville instead of continuing to listen to their phone ring without answer. read more

While this is a quick service restaurant, it is anything but quick. There seems to be a general state of disorganization and chaos in its operations which leads to the bad reviews it seems to repeatedly get. We arrived to order at 7 pm, and placed our order. At 7:15 we arrived at the window and my order was cashed out, drink delivered. So far OK. Well then we noticed how distracted the associate was, and at 7:28 he asked what we were waiting on. I had to give him my receipt so he could hunt down the food. At 7:30 he gave us a bag, and I had to ask for the receipt back. When we got home I discover we were short a chicken breast we had ordered and paid for. I grew up with KFC and have always enjoyed an occasional meal from the colonel. Last week, my son and I drove through for two grilled chicken meals. When we got home we found bloody, slimy half raw chicken. I cooked it in the oven and even after it was done, couldn't get the image of the uncooked chicken from my mind, so my dogs had a $16 meal for dinner that night. Ok fine, mistakes happen, no reason to ruin a long term relationship. Tonight, we went to KFC in Liberty MO (the same fine establishment that served the very under cooked chicken the week before) to pick up dinner to bring home. We had a busy night, and arrived there slightly after 9p. 9:03p to be exact. The hours on the door indicate the store is open until 10p. There was no chicken. We were informed that we could order, but we'd have to wait at least 30 minutes for a 20 piece meal. Instead of waiting we went a few blocks down the street to Culvers and bought a family sized meal. The chicken was cooking when we got there, fresh, hot, and thoroughly cooked. Oh, and it's priced more reasonably too. We've never eaten Culvers chicken before, but wow.... KFC doesn't compare. So thank you lazy employees at Liberty MO KFC for pushing me in search, a very short lived search, for not only better, more courteous service, but also much better tasting food. read more

The reviews already written about this location seem to have been written in a fit of anger. Where a customer has fallen prey to the inevitable random blunder fast food services are prone to deliver, gone home, and thrashed furiously about at their laptop until a sentence or two was made. KFC is not a high class restaurant and should not be expected to preform to the standards of one. What you are paying for is convenience and speed. Something this particular KFC has yet to fail to deliver. It's employees, particularly a short brunette with a smile that could light up the night, always seem to bring a smile to their faces even after being yelled at in the middle of a rush. In short, when you go to this KFC you will get exactly what you pay for; nothing more nothing less. Enjoy :) read more
