Tots with ketchup when I ordered way back sauce
    Violet H.

I ordered a burger and tater tots from DoorDash, on the burger I ordered way back sauce and pickle, grilled onions, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and the meat patty. Instead, I got mayo and no onions. On the tots, I ordered Wayback sauce, but instead, I got ketchup, which I detest. And the food was COLD

New location. Don't understand why they wanted to put it in the hood. Seemed like more people were trying to get free food over BS. The place that just opened but what do you expect when you open right off truman and paseo? It's in a new gas station so it looks like a typical burger spot. I think the burgers were good for the price. I think the onion rings were great although a little cold but I think that had to deal with them trying to get over their learning curve. Chicken strips were fine. I gave it a five star because we're a Berta joint they're going to give steak shot and run for their money. I think it's a pretty good burger. I would definitely go back.

I ordered the Bourbon Bacon Burger with 2 smash patties, cheddar cheese, bacon, an o ring and a tangy bourbon mustard.

Our guests were so pleased. I've never loved a dog so much!! Also, having a vegetarian husband didn't go over well with most of the caterers we talked to. However, when we made the request, they were happy to come up with a custom "dog" with veggies, black beans and sriracha... it was so great. YUM! It was good and well balanced for a vegetarian. They were friendly, easy to work with and the food was DELISH! We love you Brock Hops!!! If you have planned a wedding, you know there are many details to work out so each vendor can make it easy or they can make things harder... Thanks for adding value to our weekend wedding. Definitely recommend. You will not be disappointed!

This was no made-at-home fried bologna with just bread and meat. But boused up with condiments and thick meat. Nice! Now I have visited them a couple more times at the Merriam market. Never got to see the fried bologna again but from the other items I have ordered, I have been pleased with. This food truck is on the top of my list to hit up when I can. Super excited to see they will be at the next Yelp event (December 2013).

Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and our food came out quickly. I ordered a turkey club while my dad got one as well, and unfortunately we both had the same issue. The turkey was on the dry side, and it was sliced much thicker than I personally prefer. I tend to like a thinner deli-style sliced turkey, so it just wasn't my favorite sandwich. My mom ordered one of the salads though, and honestly it looked better than my sandwich. It was loaded with fresh toppings, and she said the ranch was excellent. If I come back, I'd probably skip the sandwich altogether and give one of the salads a try. Overall, I can definitely appreciate what they're going for. The prices are fantastic, honestly unheard of in present day, and that's the main reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 3. It's a true local spot, and I wouldn't mind giving it another chance to try something different from the menu.

Our server was great-she was the only one and kept up with refills etc! Pizza was amazing! My kiddo said he wants to get pizza from here everyday! Wishful thinking kid! My other kiddo enjoyed her burger. And hubby ate all of his wings-self explanatory. Will we be back? Definitely! Should I have ordered a pizza to go? Yes! Did I? No, am wish I had! Gratuity is already added-not sure if this a permanent thing or World Cup thing...but we tipped extra for the great service.

Without question, this is the best pizza joint/spot in the Crossroads. Whether you are just getting…read morea slice or a full pie, you have a zillion options and all of them are good choices. But they don't just do pizza, there is an array of sandwiches, burgers, and of course their famous wings (beware of the Death Wings, like, REALLY beware). The kitchen is pretty much right in front of you and pies are getting slung constantly. That Rockin' Red sauce has that rich tomato base and it goes perfectly with that toasted crust flavor that only a pizza oven can provide. Toppings are seemingly anything (I'm a sucker for fresh mozz & meatballs) and while one slice is enough for many, two is just a sweeter spot. Beer on tap flows with local, regional, & known brands. The drink menu is pretty lengthy and beers will rotate with the seasons. If you're unsure on what you want, then your friendly server is very likely going to give you some good options. The whole place seems to be held together by stickers & customer 'art', so it gives Grinders a divey atmosphere but delivers a five-star product. Parking is Crossroads, pricing is reasonable but the value is far more than the price point(s), and there's a reason this place gets national exposure. It's that good. And if weather allows, then eat out back. Underrated KC patio.

We started at the Aquarium and Legoland inside Crown Center--both were a hit. The Aquarium was immersive and beautifully done, and the kids were completely locked in. Legoland was pure excitement--color, creativity, and nonstop energy. By the end of it all, we were hungry. We walked across the street into Crown Center and headed inside the Crown Plaza area looking for Fritz's Railroad Restaurant. The moment we stepped in, it felt like stepping back in time. The space carries an old-world nostalgia--warm, lively, and buzzing with families. It was busy, which is always a good sign. Then I looked up at the ceiling--and that's when it clicks why they call it the Railroad Restaurant. Model trains run on tracks overhead and actually deliver your food directly to your table. For the kids, this wasn't just dinner--it was a show. Their eyes followed the train the entire way until it stopped right above us. That moment alone made the visit worthwhile. The food was good, classic American comfort fare done right--burgers, fries, sandwiches--exactly what you want after a full day of walking and exploring. Nothing overly complicated, just satisfying and family-friendly. If you're visiting Kansas City or planning a day at Crown Center with young kids, Fritz's is a must-go. It's more than just a meal--it's part of the experience. Make a full day at Crown Center. Aquarium. Legoland. And cap it off with dinner delivered by train. I would absolutely recommend this place.
