11 years later and not much has changed with customer service. First of all, this KFC is too damn expensive. I ordered a big box 3 pc, 2 sides and a drink for $14. It defaults to dark meat but I wanted white (2 breasts and a wing). It was such an ordeal trying to get one breast extra crispy and the other original. So much so they completely forgot a breast. I didn't realize until I returned home. I called 3 times that night and 2 times the following midday. They never answered the phone. So when I was near a couple days later, I stopped by to get my missing chicken and asked them to throw in a side for my inconvenience. It was too much back and forth with 3 workers (one of which was the manager) for THEIR mistake. I took a picture and had my receipt but still drama. One other annoying issue with this store is the wait time. They always tell you to pull up and wait for the food to come out. Stop tricking whatever metrics KFC holding y'all to. The inside needs an overhaul, cut outs in the wall and food really doesn't look fresh. Btw; I already had to double back that night because the potato wedges were fried to a crisp. I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent experience at KFC. We waited in the drive-thru for 20 minutes, only to be informed that the wait for chicken is 45 minutes. Are you serious? When I asked to speak to the manager, a young male named Kenan explained that they have a high volume of chicken orders tonight. Again, are you serious? Of course, there are a lot of chicken orders--this is KFC! I find it hard to understand how it takes 45 minutes for chicken at 6:30 PM, which is prime dinner time. I hate this restaurant. Unfortunately there aren't many options in Old Magnolia. About every other visit they get the order wrong somehow, whether it's KFC or Taco Bell. Yesterday I scheduled an order for pickup for 8:00. I showed up at 8:10 and it still wasn't ready. The order was finally ready at 8:25. I asked to speak to the manager about the situation and asking what the point was of scheduling an order for pickup if it isn't ready until 25 minutes after the scheduled time. The manager just gave excuses and told me that someone came through the drive through wanting what was in my order so they gave it to them and had to make more for me. That's not how this works. The entire team seams incompetent, though you can tell some of them try. Every single order from the drive through is asked to "pull around to the front" so they have somewhere for cars to wait because they're incompetent and can't prepare food in a timely manner. Worst KFC I've ever visited. Service and food bad. Having timer at drive thru means nothing. Every order is pressed at window as delivered and you are asked to move to front of building to have meal carried out. You find 2-3 cars ahead parked and waiting. They have played the Franchise system.Tried every year to see if my complaints to franchisee has been corrected. 15 years and they don't give a ship. Popeyes up the road does ten times the traffic. The clients are first time buyers coming down 1488 and construction workers coming thru Old Magnolia. Magnolia residents have given up on this location a decade ago. My husband went to get a bucket of chicken, sides, and biscuits for us and grandkids. What he got was chicken, sides, and a bag full of what tastes and looks like really old packing peanuts! The young man that brought out the order told him that they only had two biscuits so he substituted cinnamon twists. There were zero biscuits and these WERE NOT CINNAMON TWISTS! It's the last visit at this location. Nobody knows what they are doing. Everybody gets the wrong order. The fountain drinks are all out of order except the water and Diet Pepsi....even the bathroom is taped up and marked as out of order. The place feels dirty, one employee is vaping while working. My order only had 3 of the 4 pieces and two of them were white meat instead of "all dark meat" that I ordered. We went to this location a few weeks ago, and the chicken was awesome! So tonight we went back....I wish we hadn't. First I was charged for 3 drinks and only wanted 2. So to fix it, they were going to give me an extra chicken breast...cool I thought. Then a customer came back to the counter to ask for a fork or spoon to eat his potatoes with. They were out. The gentleman asked why they didn't tell him when he ordered. The kid working just said "sorry" then walked back to the drive through. After going around the corner, I watched this young man in the drive through tell his coworkers how the customer was very rude and just needed th o "get out". Oh hell no! I spoke up and ask for the manager on duty. When Mario got to the counter, I asked if it was ok to speak poorly about customers in front of other customers (even the one he was talking about). Mario said "no". Then the trash talking kid came over and started to try arguing with me to defend his behavior. Mario defended him too. So, I just shut down and asked for a refund, I was leaving. Mario said, "No refunds for credit or cash". WTF?! Seriously?! So then I ask where my food was...at which time it was handed to me. So here is the review of the food... Soda was as flat as tap water. Chicken was dry like leather and cold Potatoes were cold and solid like a cake. This location went from hero to less than zero in less than a month. No discipline within the staff. No customer service skills, Management doesn't care. This is one eatery in Magnolia that I really don't care if they go out of business. We thought they did a great job. They told us that they needed to fry some additional chicken in order to fill our large order. The chicken was very fresh. They were very professional. I think they get a bad rap because they don't have chicken pre-cooked sometimes. Disgusting, middle of the day and my food was hard and distasteful. Even tried heating them in microwave, but still was old and nasty. I have visited on other occasions and food was ok, however this visit was horrible. Co workers food was warm and fresh, but mines was not. There is only a 50% chance they will have the product you order. There is a real good chance the chicken will be raw or tough. You may or may not get utensils to eat with. This store is not up to KFC standards at all and they don't care. It's been this way for years. It never gets better. I've tried six times and today was the last time. If i could give zero stars i would. A few years ago I waited in line for 30 minutes just for cole slaw. We went back tonight and received horrible food. Really dark nasty looking chicken and wrong order. Other people in line complained about wrong orders but none of the staff cared. The staff was around the ages of 16-18. Pretty sure the teen employees are always high and there is probably zero managment. The drive thru line, no matter what time of the day or day of the week, is always stupid long and takes forever to get through. The food is always cold and missing 2-3 ingredients. The only thing that this place does thats good anymore is if it comes premade or it only involves 2 ingredients. Just got a cold chalupa with only meat, cheese and lettuce, hard a rock. Once in a blue moon the crew is actually decent and things go the way they should with a polite person at the window... Only reason we still eat here sometimes (if we don't leave after seeing the line) is cause my husband really likes taco bell. I seriously wish something would be done about this place. read more
