I was torn on what to rate this. When we entered, there was no chicken we had to wait at least 15 minutes. Usually, I don't care much about KFC as the majority of them seem to be lacking in quality. Either it be the restaurant, the customer service, or even the food, they are generally not up to par. However, the KFC on Wickham Rd. in Melbourne, FL., just north of Lake Washington Rd. is different. For starters, the place is usually clean and doesn't have the sticky grease feeling on tables I have come to know with such establishments. Second, the food is actually done well. Third, the staff is very nice more so than the usual. I usually prefer to eat their chicken sandwiches which is probably taken from my love for Chick-fil-a. Their regular chicken sandwiches and their mini sandwiches (can't remember the name) are well done and they have different chicken options now that the Smoky Mountain BBQ, Georgia Gold, and Nashville Hot flavors are extended to them. Despite being better then the general KFC, this place has screwed up my order more than once which is saying a lot given there is no drive-through and I had to step out of my vehicle to order. Also, the bathroom at times may have toilet paper all over the floor. As a result, this KFC location will only get three stars out of five. read more

This is usually a decent spot but today when we ordered some large blonde chick wearing nasty used gloves decided to grab the cup by pinching it on the inside and poured it like that with her finger in the Sierra mist it was disgusting I asked if they would pour it again and she poured it the same way they need to learn how to grab the cups by the outside and not stick their fingers inside the cup with dirty gloves that don't get washed after she just got done itching the back of her ear it was quite disgusting probably won't be going back to this location read more

Ordered food online from kfc. Returned to work with my food and saw I was missing items from my ordered. Returned to kfc to get that they items left out. Customer service rep insisted she did not make a mistake and that we were lying. Finally after a few minutes she gave us what we ordered. Returned to my work and noticed she still left out the sauce for our famous bowl. I ordered online this time because the csr before over charged me and when I told her she over charged she became aggressive and said you can talk to the manager. Personally I work in the food industry and would never treat my customers this way. I will not return to this establishment and will tell all my friends and family about my Horrible experience. They got my order wrong. Asked for mash & gravy, but got fries. Talked to someone on the phone. They answered the phone with " KFC Lake Washington". No name, no how may I help you. So she tells me she'll give me a mash n gravy if I come back. I show up and it's sitting on the counter waiting for me. The lady tells me I have you a big one, I'm sorry and walks away. KFC is usually one of our choices for lunch, but rarely gets chosen. The other options we have around are generally better for you and also a bit closer. Today was different. After looking up the health information for a particular sandwich I decided to take the plunge. I ordered the Double Down. Oh boy... I wish i could tell you that i feel my arteries clogging and the grips of death upon me, but at only 500 calories per sandwich (Big Mac weighs in at 576 and its not even fried!) I am afraid to say i was still hungry afterward...for more Double Down! Seriously, everything was perfect about this sandwich. The fact that it had no bread was actually an upside and I only used one napkin! The bacon was crispy, the cheese was gooey and the sauce on it was awesome. I want more of the sauce to put on french fries! While the Double Down will never become an everyday occurrence I can now say that I have tried it and will have it again. read more

I try not to consider myself too much of a masochist, so I've often wondered to myself why I insist on being tormented by this store. Alas, it's always because it's right next to my house and I don't feel like driving to West Melbourne or beachside to get KFC. I've visited this store a number of times over the years and I can say with absolute honesty that I have not once (never!!) received anything close to what I actually ordered. And it's the same girl who does it every time...I feel sure they've had complaints about her...this time no corn and very little gravy on my potatoe bowl. This review is for the KFC at 3000 Lake Washington Road, Melbourne, FL 32934. Besides the food tasting great, I had a very good experience here. The cashier was very friendly & attentive (found out she had been there only a couple of weeks). I also found out later there were new hires & they were understaffed. Not a single person was "grouchy" & the food was prepared good. New staffs sometimes make mistakes (as we all do when we first begin working) & I found out that I had 2 thighs instead of breasts later. Through a phone call, the manager went beyond her job & took care of me & definitely knew customer service (the reason for the 5-star rating). She was very nice & understanding, also. I wish I could go more in detail but I can't. I know some people don't have the time to go back to exchange but like everywhere else, check before you leave (which I only glanced in the bag). I got wrong food, piss on the bathroom floor in a puddle, KFC workers shouting in the store, rude phone manners when I called to tell them about the wrong order, a friend of a worker standing at the counter begging for free food. Have always loved KFC but when you visit this location you cant be sure your food will be the same delicious food you had the last time. Don't go here the hour before closing because they skimp and scrape in order to get rid of what they have. I ordered 2 chicken bowls which I love and last time I did this we got them home and we're shocked! Disgusting to say the least. The chicken tasted hours old, there was hardly any gravy and it was cold! I called when I got home to complain and was told to bring them back, yes I Understand that but who wants to drive all the way back there at 9 at night. He wouldn't give me credit for the meal and he hung up on me. I was in no way rude I just asked can I get credit for this meal because it was a sad excuse of a meal. Really good and the staff is really friendly but the mashed potatoes sometimes arent very good. With the $5 fill up boxes sometimes they'll upsize your drink if you get an extra side and sometimes they wont. An employee said that it was just part of the deal but only a few of them have done it and the rest I guess don't remember to. My kids love it there and the staff has been patient with them even though I'm sure they've been more than annoying the times we've gone. Only suggestion would be to maybe retrain some employees on the proper protocols of how to go about taking orders, and remind them that even though they're at work w/ people they like and its probably only a minimum wage job, and it can make customers feel mildly uncomfortable when you hear them constantly yelling to each other and joking around instead of paying attention to what you're ordering and the food they're making. read more
