To those of you that know me or follow me, you know I very rarely eat fast food but I do have a weakness for fried chicken and while KFC or Popeyes' is not like momma made , given the right franchisee and timing, it's not a bad thing. Today was cruising around centennial and took a shortcut through Aliante . Saw the KFC by Smith's haven't eaten here in many moons, but figured why not... my fat levels needed replenishment and I figured going between peak meal times I could get good service and not bottom of the bucket chicken. I would normally only order 2-4 pieces, maybe a 8 piece family meal but for some relatively stupid reason I opted for the 12 piece meal. I know I will be eating leftover fried chicken for 3-4 days. To me fried chicken if refrigerated promptly when cool and held at the right temperature pretty much holds up well and can be eaten cold picnic style or thrown in the air fryer later. So no worries .... Got three sides, coleslaw, which was a little watery, instant mashed potatoes... not bad, the Mac and cheese (you know the cardiologist special) also got the gravy and a few sauces. Eventually got home, checked out the chicken (extra crispy).... Several large breasts, a good number of thighs and wings to make up the 12 piece. Didn't see any drumsticks but that's ok since I don't like them anyway. Tried a couple wings, hot and juicy, pretty good crispy skin. The potatoes and Mac and cheese were as expected..... I had to drain the coleslaw before eating. The meal came with biscuits too, pretty decent. All in all it was a decent meal worth the $40.85 . No military discount. I think my strategy for going to KFC at off peak hours gets me a better result rather than getting the remnants of whatever is ready during busy times. Service was quick and professional . I ate here for the first time with Diane, looking forward to digging my teeth into some juicy KFC Extra Crispy Legs and Thighs. And I was not disappointed. The drumsticks were small but hot and tender. Thighs were hot and moist, with tasty skin. Cole Slaw was both crunchy and creamy. French Fries were nicely seasoned. And freshly baked Biscuits and Honey Sauce topped off a delicious meal. Too bad our order was so messed up! We were initially given a Small Cole Slaw and a Large Side of Mashed Potatoes when we were supposed to receive a Large Cole Slaw and Large French Fries. Worse yet, we were told we had to wait for Fries to be made until we at length were given a Side of Small Mashed Potatoes and Gravy instead, and charged extra for it. Thus, there was no effort originally to even make us Fries. I shuddered at what would have happened if we had gone through the drive-thru and not checked our order before leaving. Our money was cheerfully refunded for the unordered Mashed Potatoes. And Staff members inside were friendly and helpful--but obviously too mistake prone the night we were there. read more

Located in the Aliante Market Mall off of Aliante Parkway. The establishment is located next to Arby's. Initial service was great since they use a kiosk. For those who are paying by cash, you can still place your order at the counter with their staff. Ambiance was standard fast food restaurant. Light pleasant music so you can hear the people your dining with. Dining room was clean. There were only four (4) people dining-in but the drive-thru Once the order was placed, we got our food in 12 minutes. Food tasted great and the staff are friendly. read more

HORRIBLE!! After waiting almost 40 minutes for our order they got it wrong! Sent it back again and they got it wrong AGAIN! We also asked for it to dine in and they packed it yo go with utensils or plates! The chicken legs looked like the drumettes from chicken wings. Family wanted to try the new bucket with tenders and potato poppers. Ordered the new cherry poppers and they advised they are made to order so would be a wait. No big deal. We park and after about 5 mins are food comes out. I say all this because with all that extra time they forgot to put tenders in the bucket. Get home and no chicken what the heck. read more

I asked a Server & was told that they have enough employees, but that it just depends on the crowd rush. They cannot predict rush times anymore. If I could make this review 0 stars I would. I came last night and they ran out of chicken and still expected me to pay full price for something I didn't want. Then I came the next morning giving them another chance and waited 40 minutes for chicken that they didn't have again. I spoke to the manager and he gave me a replace meal free of charge which I was okay with, I came back after I got my kids from school which was an hour later and still they do not have the meal ready nor the chicken I want. They didn't greet me when I came in but pick up is cool because when it's ready there's a pick up area. That's easy to get in & out! The inside is spacious enough that you have room to wait around. My mom was hungry and wanted fried chicken. Against my wishes she wanted to stop here. We did. We went to drive through and ordered 3 piece meal all white with 2 sides and a drink for 12.99 with tax. We opted for the 12 piece meal, with mac and cheese, coleslaw, biscuits, and it came with the complimentary cinnabon biscuits. The wait time was a bit longer than average. The staff was def short handed, that is why I'm giving 3 stars instead of what I would have. The employee that took the order was courteous, but you could tell there were issues in the drive thru. Very disappointed. Before I arrived, I checked the KFC website menu for any specials. Website said they offer a drum stick and thigh Fill-Up meal with one vegetable, a biscuit, cookie and drink for $5.25. When I tried to order that, the manager said this was a franchise store and she didn't have to follow corporate KFC's price of $5.25. This KFC store offered a 2 piece chicken, with only a vegetable and biscuit for $7.99. I understand things are inflationary now but for $7.99? This is a ripoff! It looks like KFC has lost control of its' franchise stores. And if this KFC location is actually a franchise and doesn't have to follow corporate policy on pricing, then why don't they have their own website with their own menu selection and prices? read more

Attempted to order number#1 combo with breast and leg the lady stated it would be $2 up charge even though it does not say on menu. I went through the drive through at about 7:45pm on a Thursday eve. I should have suspected something was off since I was the only car in the drive or in the entire parking lot. My choices are limited near my home so to switch it up my son chose kfc. I knew better. I ordered 2 5pc chicken tender meals with one regular side of coke slaw. $30!!!! Got home with our meal and the chicken was barely room temp to the touch (I only live 7 min away). Once we bit into the chicken it was rubbery and raw in texture. Inedible. I had asked for kfc sauce and Buffalo sauce. We got only 2 sauces each. The drink I ordered was iced tea. It had no ice and looked and tasted like the bottom of mop bucket water. I am so irritated to have thrown away $30 of such hard earned money on complete garbage. The only reason I picked fast food on a weeknight was because I was exhausted just getting off of a 14 1/2 hr shift and couldn't imagine having to go home and cook that late at night but I needed to feed my son so he could get to bed. Never again. Lesson learned. This location really needs to do better because I'm this economy this is highway robbery. People are trying to get by! Great food as always! However this evening went to kfc and the person (Tyson) was very rude! Kept grunting and moaning and short with us! Ordered 3 teams and he seemed very annoyed. At one point he rolled his eyes at us when asking why we needed to pull ahead when there was absolutely no one behind us and he said because we were ruining his speed time. We pulled forward and absolutely no one NO ONE was behind us and our car was only one in the parking lot! Very very disappointed! She doesn't know how to count change obviously and got so mad when we gave exact change for the order and said we gave her "random amounts of change".
