I spotted this interesting signage of a bakery while driving On Craig and Jones. I was with my brother and we stopped at "bunbun chicken Glenda's bakery". Shinning clean floors and a beautiful pink ruffle cake on display. Several Spanish pastries. Breakfast, lunch, dinner menu as well as several choices of bottled and canned drinks, juices and shakes, calm music. We had the jalapeño double patty burger, cajun wings and Salvadorean quesadilla. The food took about 12 minutes to our table and it was beautifully, clean presented and it tasted soo fresh. The shoesting fries with the fry sauce: addicting! Great service Mateo! Very clean I love the renovation of the place. I believe they switched owners from a few years ago new owner has a bakery inside with lovely pastries and ice cream available. Milkshakes looked amazing everything look pretty overall. They speak Spanish and are very friendly. We came for the chicken and wasn't disappointed. You can tell the bun was freshly made. If you ever crave chicken strips or sandwich but want to take a break from fast food definitely a must try. Was full by the end of the meal. But I never judge a place by how busy they are, nor the reviews because I like to make my own. And this review is exactly why! Buffalo Cauliflower with Feta Cheese: the feta did fall to the bottom so we didn't get it at first, but eventually it was delish! I loved their covering of buffalo. 2. Onion rings: The thin batter completely got me. I loved every single bite of it and its perfectly crisp crunch. Entrees: 1. Grilled Bun: that I did not get a picture of, but it was huge! The chicken pieces had a light seasoning, but the bun-bun sauce was the perfect addition. 2. Jelly Bun: The fried chicken tenders were huge again and the bun was milky and buttery! However I did SEE the jelly, but it didn't really come out in taste. Maybe I would request more jelly on the side. 3. 6 piece jumbo tenders and truly they were JUMBO! I could only eat two before getting full! They made for great leftovers. In addition- they allowed me to have buffalo on the side which was delish. This is a local chicken spot, that should be on your list above all the big name chicken places in the area. Everyone was so nice, helpful, and welcoming as we came in. Along with the chicken, they also sell several baked goods as well. The serving sizes are more than generous and the food itself was delicious. What stood out for me was their "fries" dishes. At every other place in town, most fries plates come with a thin layer of toppings, and then a huge layer of dry plain fries underneath. Not here. The chicken and the mix-ins were well mixed within the fries, and every bite is just as good as the first. As for ambiance, the place felt cozy, in the best way. Neither were bad and the salsa with them was pretty good. We preferred the grilled fish taco over the chicken taco. The chicken taco was made with nice moist chicken but wasn't infused with Mexican flavors. Then we both ordered dishes that we enjoyed before. Both came out different. I tried the Ace Of Salads (hot). My salad was made with nicely prepared breaded fried chicken that was very tasty but I didn't have any heat anywhere in my salad. I guess something hot was forgotten by the cook because I see that "HOT" was rang in on the reciept. My husband wanted the Crazy Buffalo Sandwich again but without the white sauce.......They brought it out the first time with the white sauce and offered to make it right. If you want some good chicken, forget about the chains like Chick Filet or Canes; this place is fire! I had the cheesy bun, and asked for a side of onion rings instead of fries. The onion rings were hot and crispy! The chicken in the sandwich was moist, and the sauce was delicious! My son ordered the guilty pleasure. It had fries layered with mac and cheese, pickles, chicken, and bun sauce. It was great as well. They gave us a free dessert, which was a yummy slice of cheesecake with chocolate and caramel. My group had a Crazy Buffalo, a Signature, and a Monster sandwich. $16 a piece, sandwiches were big, and it comes with fries and a drink. You can't beat that. But once inside there was a fair amount of tables. More than we were expecting. We were greeted right away by a smiling gentleman behind the counter. We placed our orders. Both of us had the 3 piece chicken meal. Right away the smiling man delivered ketchup, and the straws we requested. And soon after he delivered our meals. The chicken was very good but the fries were excellent!! The meal also came with garlic toast. It was a lot of food. We couldn't finish all so we requested boxes. Usually you can tell when something isn't freshly made because everything kinda looks and tastes the same from Olive Garden, to chilis, to Applebees, however the food we got tasted fresh and unique. This was my second time here. The first time was great, just huge portions and have been watching what I eat. Today I was thinking about a chicken sandwich. I walked into a completely different shop than I knew. The remodel looks fresh and clean. The two people working in the kitchen and cash register were very nice even though there may have been a language barrier with the chef. Everything was great!! The lemon blueberry cupcake was my only complaint. They look amazing in the case, but they were a little bit more crumbly than I like my cake. I like a moist cake with little crumb, this was on the crumbly side but the frosting and topping was good. You can tell the baker really likes their job and has the look down, I just wish it were more moist. The chicken sandwich was so good and the seasoning on the fries was good too. My partner saw BUN BUN Chicken on Yelp as a new restaurant located in Northwest Las Vegas. BUN BUN Chicken is off of Craig/95-N, local streets Craig/Jones. The restaurant is in a large plaza next to a few other businesses such as Dunkin Donuts. BUN BUN Chicken's specialty is chicken. There are a variety of offerings such as BUN BUN Chicken sandwiches, tenders, sweet treats, and much more! The restaurant layout has a variety of table seating, TV, and their menu located on the restaurant wall. Reviewing the menu, we had decided to order the following 1) BUN BUN Chicken Sandwich - Colesaw, pickles, BUN BUN Sauce, and Chicken Tender 2) The 4 Chicken Tenders and French Fries 3) Kids Meal - "You don't know." Consists of Chicken Nuggets and French Fries. We ordered the Onion rings for appetizers. BUN BUN Chicken's owner provided on the house, mac salad. It had a lot of pepper. My partner enjoyed it, but I couldn't eat it due to the spices in the mac salad. The Fried Onion Rings were good. Just the right amount of breading. The onion used was thin though and didn't stick with the breading it was fried with. The main entrees came out to the table shortly after. Unfortunately, when we had placed the order for the chicken tenders, we requested no spice. The chicken tenders provided were spicy. We didn't want to wait for the order to be recooked so we ended up keeping it. The French Fries had too much spice, specifically, pepper on the French Fries. Some of them were soggy too. The BUN BUN Chicken Sandwich was good though. All of the ingredients meshed well. My daughter enjoyed her chicken nuggets. Overall, the experience at BUN BUN Chicken was good. The meal was slightly expensive, approximately $50.00 for a 4 chicken tender combo, BUN BUN Chicken Sandwich, fountain drinks, and a kids meal. There was a lot of food though! Super yummy local chicken place. It is semi expensive but worth it to support local. The tenders are even better than canes. Wish the employee was a bit happier but maybe I caught them at a bad time. I got to use a bogo 50% so that was nice. I got some tenders and wings for $33 (that's with the coupon) and $7 tip for togo so total $40. You can also dine in if you like, it's a small cute dining room. One complaint is they put ranch on my wings... so I ended up throwing away like 3/8 wings since I can't eat ranch. I had lunch here on 09/13/23. I'm in search of the best fried chicken within 10 miles of my office. I found Bun Bun, which advertises that it is the "best." Wrong. Unremarkable! I ordered 5 chicken fingers. The meal comes with a slice of buttered toast, fries, a small cup of slaw, a smaller cup of dipping sauce and a drink. Total: $16. First, the chicken was overcooked and a bit tough. Not juicy at all. I had to scrape away a lot of dark batter which had burned. I didn't eat the greasy looking toast. The slaw was nothing if unremarkable and virtually tasteless. I had two small bites and left it. The dipping sauce was a kin to mayo and schracha mixed. Kind of tasty. The fries are just the frozen string-type and they were ok, but nothing special. You would do well to spend your money somewhere else. read more
