I got one of the $7 meal deals, the 3 chicken strips one, which comes with the chicken strips, fries, a sundae and a drink. I upgraded the fries to onion rings for an additional $1.25 and it so wasn't worth it. They gave me so few onion rings. I should have just stuck with fries. Double ugh. I got the pineapple sundae and a Dr. Pepper fountain drink. I also ordered from the 2 for $5 menu and got 2 cheeseburgers for $5. I had a coupon that I got in the mail for a poutine for $2.99 (they are usually $5.49) so I got a poutine too. The chicken strips were really good. They were crispy and the meat was real chicken breast. The onion rings were ok, but like I said, not worth the added cost. They were crispy too. The sundae was good too. The pineapple sauce is not too sweet like the other flavours are. The cheeseburger was ok. The bun did not taste all that fresh to me though. It wasn't stale, but just not as soft and fluffy as I like. Also, the burger did not smell delicious. You know how burgers are supposed to smell tasty? These did not. In fact my car had no food aroma as I was driving back to my parents' place. The poutine was good, but of course the cheese curds had no squeak to them. Gravy was not overly salty, which I appreciated, but wasn't quite hot enough to melt all the cheese curds. Overall, an ok experience. I've had food at Dairy Queen plenty, but it was my parents' first time having something other than ice cream there. They enjoyed it, so I'm happy about that. They did not have to stand in the restaurant for 30 minutes like I did though, lol. This location is in a strip mall. Lots of free parking.

No one in my family (other than my husband and I) had had Mary Brown's Chicken before so we got a variety of items to try. We got some mild fried chicken, some spicy fried chicken, potato wedges, onion rings, gravy, coleslaw, and macaroni and cheese salad. We also got a box of 5 chicken tenders with fries for my little nieces to share, but I wasn't able to get a picture because they were hungry, lol ;) It was my first time having the spicy fried chicken and it looked to me like they just sprinkle spices on top of the regular fried chicken after frying. It was ok, but the spices were definitely not well distributed. It's also not all that spicy. The chicken at Mary Brown's is similar in style to Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), as opposed to Popeye's Chicken. It's less salty than KFC I find. The potato wedge were a bit bland, but tasted great with the gravy poured on top, lol. They are lightly battered. The onion rings were crispy and great. I had some leftover fries from my nieces. The fries aren't battered like the wedges. They were good as well. They are just regular-cut fries, not shoestring, but not beefsteak/thick cut. The macaroni and cheese salad was too rich and creamy for my tastes, but I guess that's how it's supposed to be. I didn't try the coleslaw because I generally don't like coleslaw and especially not creamy coleslaw. The gravy was nice and thick and full of chicken flavour. My dad's assessment was "better than KFC, but not as good as Popeye's" lol. I don't know if I agree. I really like Mary Brown's and I like that it's a Canadian chain (it's from out East). Besides, I think all fried chicken places can coexist, since they all offer something a bit different :) This Mary Brown's Chicken is in the Orleans Gardens Shopping Centre (which is really a plaza, not an enclosed shopping centre). There's lots of free parking in the plaza.

This review is going to be short…read more I've only ever gotten food at this location via the drive thru. They are sometimes a bit slower than at other locations but always friendly and the food is consistent with what you'd expect from Wendy's. There's only one drive thru line, none of this multiple lines that later converge. There are 2 pickup windows but I have only ever seen one of them open. It's a regular Wendy's with indoor seating and lots of parking. I've just never been inside, lol. It's across from Place d'Orleans Shopping Centre. Review #117 (2025)

And funny how it's always to their advantage. Once I ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 orders of 10 piece chicken nuggets, to go. They charged me for all of the above, but then when I got home I opened up the bag to discover that they forgot an entire order of 10 piece nuggets. So I paid for 20 nuggets and only got 10 :( This location is my parents' local Burger King, so I warned them about the inaccuracy of the orders. So my mom is super careful to check the number of items before she leaves when getting takeout. Recently, my mom bought 2 orders of 10 piece chicken nuggets, to go and when she got home she found the portion size small, so she counted the nuggets and realized that they only put 9 pieces in each bag. This is unacceptable to me. I am boycotting this location.
