Had the Frosty Feast, great portions and fast service. Chicken was great and good price. Not like KFC (soggy pigeon size pieces)!

Uber eats is trundling in too; I've seen about 2-3 of those. I'm gaining weight just from the smell!! I am giving this place a 5-star just based on the smell!! Ok, by now maybe you know that Mary Browns is a chain our of Newfoundland, so I had to try this at least once. I never ever eat breaded and friend chicken; honestly, KFC is good enough! What can I say? I was hungry!! But I love Newfoundland, and I want to know how this compares!! Also to note: there was a lot of staff behind the counter, so things seemed to move fairly quickly. Oh and I saved something for next time: they have introduced banana pudding!! Sorry for the drool marks on this review... Two meal deals included drinks and coleslaw for, $28.00. I will update my review after I taste all this for the first time. My stomach is sincerely grumbling!! UPDATE: oh man, was this ever good! The chicken was juicy and tender, the coating was perfect! The fries were wedgies and already coated and flavoured, so we didn't add salt or ketchup. The coleslaw was so good that all they needed to do was give bigger portions! Delish!! Definitely deserves a 5-star!! Will return. Also fixed the spelling. Predictive text, my keister!

Sweet Thai chicken poppers will always be my favourite! They aren't always on the menu so you have to ask. The gravy, coleslaw, fries and biscuits were all delicious. My brother picked up some fried chicken, taters, macaroni and cheese salad, gravy and strawberry cream cheese pies for us and overall everything was great. We've had Mary Brown's chicken before at a few different locations and this location has the best taters! They really batter them and they were crispy and flavourful. They were also mostly small, which I like, I don't like the huge wedges that are all mealy. None of the pieces I ate were mealy, they were all delicious. The chicken was also delicious. Crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. He got us both the spicy chicken and the regular non-spicy chicken. Both were delicious and the spicy was actually spicy, which I liked. It had a nice kick to it. The gravy was nice and thick but too salty for my liking. The macaroni and cheese salad was a flop with my nieces, they didn't like it at all, lol. They thought it was too sour. I'm not a huge fan of macaroni salad to begin with, so I wasn't crazy about it either, but my husband loved it. The strawberry cream cheese pies were ok. They remind me of the pies from Popeye's and Harvey's. My nieces liked the pies, lol. We got a free Mary Brown's can cozie with our meal. I like Mary Brown's and I think this location does it justice with the chicken and the taters, which is really the most important part. I'm a fan! Lots of free parking in the Fallingbrook Shopping Centre parking lot.

They have long been advertising "plumper chicken" and for me that meant they left the fat on the chicken then cooked it. Gross! There is nothing like chomping down on chicken fat, cooked or raw. Eww! But now they have revamped their menu as well as the decor, and I must say they have raised the bar on themselves and surpassed it! Well done, St Hubert! First of all, I must admit that I have never been to the St Joseph Blvd location before today. But as crowded as it was, the service was fabulous today. The wait staff was very attentive without hovering over us (even though they were all fairly on the young side). The food was great - the waitress even described it well, declaring which dishes were spicy or not. And I also have to admit that I do love their cole slaw -both the creamy one and the vinegary one. My friend and I ordered the sweet potato fries as an appetizer; we were both pleasantly surprised at how tasty they were! The dipping sauce was NOT as spicy as we thought it might be. For our main course, we both got the chicken with Spanish rice and vegetables (she got white meat and I got dark meat). The rice was spicy enough to make my nose run! The veggies were only ok. I do love yellow and red peppers! And then to round off the celebration, we each had desert: she had the strawberry shortcake, and I had the chocolate lava volcano. Awesome to the last drop! We are both very full. And very impressed with our meals! Today's experience most certainly invites another visit! Very pleasant, indeed!

I nervously popped into Poulet Rouge, intimidated by the menu and all the choices and received the friendliest service. I ordered a mini bowl with lettuce as a base. They offer plant based chicken, and opted for that, going with the shisha garlic flavour. The mini comes with a choice of 1 sauce and 3 toppings. I went with the chipotle sauce which had some nice kick to it. I topped it with cucumber, feta and tzatziki. The bowl was a perfect size for a quick light dinner. The plant based chicken was smokey and it was grilled to order. They have a couple seats to dine in away from the food court. Service was super quick and they were so friendly when I asked for recommendations. (sorry I forgot to take a picture, but I will next time I am there, because its now a new fave)

This location is in the St Laurent Shopping Centre (the other location in Ottawa is at the Rideau Centre). It's in the food court, but they actually have their own private seating, although you can bring your food to the main food court seating as well. I've had Poulet Rouge before, in Montreal, and at the Rideau Centre location as well. I really like the food at this chain. This visit I got the build your own Rouge Bowl ($10.99). You get to choose a chicken flavour (Hercules/lemon, Shisha/garlic, Fusion/BBQ or Volcano/spicy), a base (brown rice or bulgur, you can upgrade to quinoa for an additional cost), a dressing, and 7 toppings. I got the Hercules chicken with brown rice, no dressing, spinach, tomatoes, beets, bell peppers, black beans, cheese, and tzatziki (which counts as a topping and not a dressing). The food here is consistent with the location at Rideau. I feel like they might be a bit more generous with the meats in Montreal, but it's been a while since I've been there, so it might be they've shrunk portions everywhere. The chicken portion is still good, and my bowl was still very tasty. Service was friendly and the place looks clean. Poulet Rouge is definitely a welcomed addition to the St. Laurent food court :)

I've had their bowls and tacos before at another location, but strangely enough I never had their burritos until recently, at this new location, and they were great. I was at my parents' house in Orleans and they're always up for trying new restaurants, so I'm often on UberEats looking for new eats for them. I saw that Fat Bastard Burrito was having a BOGO deal on their Nashville Chicken Burritos, so thought this would be a great little treat for them. So the Nashville Chicken burritos (regular size, which they call "lil" but is not really little at all, lol) on UberEats are $13.70 each, while if you buy them directly from the store they are only $10.95. However, with the BOGO deal it was $13.70 for 2 burritos, which was awesome. You get to pick the toppings and I pretty much loaded them up with lettuce, black beans, Pinto beans, cheese, rice, noodles (yep, noodles is an option and I chose it, lol), coleslaw, guacamole (no extra charge for guac which it often is at other restaurants), Pico de Gallo, sweet peppers, and "crunchies" (which are basically crushed tortilla chips). Pick up was quick and staff were friendly. I know I said I got the burritos for my parents, but let's be honest, kids always steal a taste of their parents' food, right? Or maybe that's just in my family (?) Lol. So yeah, I had some, and it was really good for a fast food joint. I mean, it's a fusion creation, Nashville Chicken Burrito, and for what it is, it was excellent. The vegetables were fresh, the chicken was lean and tender with a slight spicy kick, the tortilla was soft with the right amount of chew and it was tightly wrapped. The burrito did not fall apart despite being stuffed with ingredients. There are no shortages of Chipotle-style chain fast food joints in the NCR (e.g. Bar Burrito, Mucho Burrito, Quesada, etc.) but I do like Fat Bastard Burrito the most. They have the most amount of toppings available and their burritos are fat, and we all know size matters, lol. This location is in the Fallingbrook Shopping Centre (which is actually more of a plaza). It's in the same section as Eggspress/Parea and easyfinancial. Lots of free parking.
