My boyfriend and I have been dying to try this but I was a little worried because of the mixed reviews but I'll tell you what this food was the best I've had on the island so far. I was worried when I got their stir fry it would be salty soy sauce BUT IT WASNT! It was actually the exact opposite! Not salty at all and even a little sweet hint to it. I added chicken to my meal and oh my was it so so fulfilling. Not Thai food. Not even close to Thai food. Totally a bait and switch and completely misleading (and overpriced). The satay was the closest to Thai but everything else was closer to bad, greasy Chinese inspired made by Americans who were trying out soy sauce for the first time and who have never heard of fish sauce. Five of the six dishes we ordered tasted like they were made by someone who's never eaten at a Thai restaurant (as in not even once and I don't mean Thailand, I mean a Thai restaurant). Yes, I know Thai food and have been to Thailand, can cook, etc. $10 for two burned satay is outrageous and that was the best thing we ordered. We knew it wouldn't be real Thai but we figured it would be a good change from Puerto Rican food. What a total waste of money. I'm also angry that this place misleads it's customers. It's closer to "American Chinese inspired" than even fake Thai. Also it didn't taste fresh but like they used pantry items. Their "pad Thai" tastes like it was made with ketchup - so gross. Also don't make the mistake I did, thinking it's ok if it's not authentic as long as it's tasty. It was swimming in soy sauce and sesame oil and so salty it was hard to eat. We picked at it saying things like "this onion is ok if you wipe the sauce off." And yes inauthentic east Asian food can be yummy but this isn't that either. Four people we my table and we were all in agreement but still of the mindset it was our fault for expecting it to be ok (it had lo mein on a Thai menu for goodness sake). Even though this review is harsh (albeit accurate) I want to point out to the "chef" that he/she should be able to make fried rice. My daughter and I couldn't eat your version. It's simple, easy and quick to make properly and only a handful of cheap ingredients. Getting this easy dish to inedible means you haven't learned the most simple basics of Asian cooking yet you charge a ton of money claiming you have this basic skill. The pad Thai is the worst bad Thai I have ever eaten and the service is bad. If you look rich you will get that extra treatment but if you don't look Richy rich they will make you wait A LOT. Love this place. Stopped here last night for dinner. The place was clean and the staff was quick and friendly. My favorite appetizer was the Stuffed White bottom mushrooms. I wish I could have them again for lunch. Also the mojito crem brûlée dessert was amazing. I will go back! read more

A great Thai place. They can make alot of the dishes vegan and use a tamarind sauce instead of fish sauce.

Wonderful Thai food with Caribbean flair. We ordered a curry and the house special pineapple fried rice. The curry had lots of crisp vegetables and keeps you wanting more. The pineapple fried rice is definitely the star of the show, the fish is tender and moist, the shrimp was nicely grilled, and fried rice was filled with juicy pineapple. Yum! I would definitely recommend. I love some good Thai food and Khalan hit the spot. We order the dumplings as appetizers, the Drunken Noodles, and Yellow Curry and all were delicious! The drunken noodles were our favorite. Our waitress was really nice and professional. My one thing was that it took a long time to get the check when we were done with our food. Excellent place. We had ribs and the tuna with lo mein and they where delicious. The house drink (forgot the name) was excellent. For appetizers we had the skirt stake skewers and the dumplings. And for desert the sticky rice with passion fruit and mango. Definitely will come back again and the service was excellent. read more

My husband and I ate here the first night we arrived in Isabela. My husband had massaman curry and I had the sesame crusted tuna (a special not on the menu). The service was really great; our server spent a long time with us explaining everything on the menu. My tuna was very good and perfectly cooked, however the lo mein side dish was very salty. From the get go the staff was really friendly. The menu is still a work in process because they only opened a couple of months ago. We shared the beef dumplings as a starter and were pretty good. I had the green curry and my friend got the stuffed pineapple with rice and mahi mahi (not on the menu). The proteins were overcooked but everything was good besides. Will visit again. read more

Soy, Soy and more Soy. We started with the stuffed mushrooms, however, they were drown in soy, the peppers were insanely big for the portions and didn't have any distinctive flavor whatsoever. Then, my wife main dish arrive; an "stir fried" made with cheap and unflavored beef. Again, drowned in soy. In my case, I ordered the "Lo Mein" with extra almond, broccoli and beef. The Lo mein wasn't cooked well, an additional 5-8 minutes probably will do it. However, the main problem was the low quality of the beef and the unmeasurable amount of soy. In the other hand, the service was good. CONCLUSION: Avoid if possible. read more
