ALL THE STARS! (Shopped on 1/15/22) I walked in a very nervous and apprehensive shopper - my first bridal dress experience had me overwhelmed and almost in tears in the dressing room. Stephanie and Jessie walked the perfect balance of offering help and suggestions while giving me plenty of space and time to peruse dresses and try them on. I felt so at ease, no pressure, no stress - they said I could take as much time as I wanted. My mom, sister, and niece all went, and they even were totally fine with my niece trying on dresses . We made memories to last a lifetime... oh, and walked out with the most perfect dress. On a practical note, their selection was incredible - a wide variety for brides of every size. As the mother of the bride I wanted my daughter to be treated like a princess throughout the entire process! The first visit my daughter tried on multiple dresses and she decided on a couple. The 2nd visit she finalized her decision where she was measured for her dress to be ordered. The measurements of my daughter would dictate the size to be ordered. Unfortunately I was unable to attend and upon returning to pick up her dress she was unable to zip up due to 'gaining .5 inches' and according to the salon a manufacturer defect on the zipper. The stylist continued to force the zipper which caused the dress to be stuck on my daughter before the stylist cut the zipper off to remove the dress. The final visit was to pick up the dress after the zipper was fixed where she was told she had gained 1.5 inches (over a month's time frame). The staff was not helpful and not willing to accept a mistake was made and work something out. The end result is this has become 'my daughter's problem' according to the owner of the salon. I would not recommend anyone to this salon for any type of dress due to the lack of professionalism. read more

As the mother of the groom, I have never been more appalled by the lack of professionalism and basic human decency shown by Khloe Mae--especially by the owner, Stephanie. From the very beginning, the staff was unhelpful, dismissive, and lacked the warmth or guidance you'd expect from a bridal shop. Unfortunately, things only got worse from there. After waiting months, my future daughter-in-law's dress finally arrived--damaged. Not minor damage, either. And instead of doing the obvious right thing and ordering a new dress (something she paid for in full), Stephanie and her team tried to brush it off and offered to repair it--as if any bride should settle for a "fixed" gown on her wedding day. There was no apology, no urgency, and no accountability. It was clear that once they had our money, they had no interest in helping or making things right. Stephanie's attitude throughout this process was cold and completely unprofessional. Her store may sell wedding dresses, but there is absolutely nothing bridal or joyful about the way they treat their customers. Save yourself the heartbreak. I would never recommend Khloe Mae to any bride or family. They turned a once-in-a-lifetime experience into a stressful, infuriating nightmare. if I could give a 0 rating I would! read more

I walked in and walked out. Maybe the staff was having a meeting or something but I didn't feel welcome. (They were having an "open house" type thing, so I was just curious to see what they had.) Maybe because I'm a bigger gal -sometimes I stumble into a store with nothing for me so nobody speaks to me. I can't speak for the selection but the wall was full of dresses. They advertise that they have less expensive dresses but from what I saw, I wouldn't plan on that. Don't go when they are just open. It wasn't a good experience. I wish I could post the dress! We can't stop looking at the photos. I didn't know what to expect, but we found a beautifully curated selection of dresses. Martha was the perfect mix of being helpful and just letting us explore. My daughter tried on about ten dresses and one was the total standout, with all of us gasping and the bride glowing. I went here yesterday to try and consign some dresses and was overall impressed by this store! It was clear, the staff were friendly, and it took probably under 10 minutes to drop off the dresses and sign the paperwork. It's nice because they have the agreement online too so you can read the rules beforehand. They were able to take 2 of my 4 dresses (stating the other two were an older style that didn't sell very often--and they were my two oldest dresses I had so wasn't surprised). They seemed to have a really nice variety of formal attire. I think it's a great place to shop to try and reduce the "fast fashion" and just wearing a dress once then never again. I haven't received any payout from them yet, so I will update my review accordingly (they have a year to sell). Would recommend checking them out! read more

I have been here twice in the last year. The first time to look for a dress for a gala, and the second for a wedding gown. My experience looking for the gala dress: The boutique has a nice selection in quite a few sizes, but the dresses are *quite* expensive in comparison to other shops. I literally had no time, so I still bought a dress (and later found it for $28 new online...I paid $130, and it was used). During my time at the shop I was given dirty looks, no one offered to help me, and the lady at the desk gave the fakest, snootiest smile I have ever seen during checkout. I felt bad, but was hoping they were having a bad day! (I am the type to always tip 25%, apologize for other's mistakes, etc. - a bad review is never given from me). Flash forward a few months - I'm engaged! How exciting. My mom drove us to a dress shop, and I was cautious but hopeful walking in. We were not greeted and were only spoken to when we went to pull dresses. It turns out that you aren't allowed to pull dresses, which definitely wouldn't have been a big deal....if the workers were willing to help us pull them (they instead stood behind the checkout). After having each person in my party ask for the workers to pull dresses, one finally did. I was excited to try them on! I went to do so, and every dress was the wrong size. All four dresses were supposed to be in my size range (which was pointed out to us as we browsed), and instead were eight bridal sizes too small. I felt terrible, and it was an overall waste of time. After leaving I also found a David's Bridal dress priced $800 more at Second Dance than it was at David's Bridal - eeek! TLDR: Overpriced, Snotty Workers, Badly Organized. read more

Let me start off by saying if I could give this place 0 stars after tonight I would. Their website says helpful & knowledgeable staff is funny! I also realize they never gave me my $30 booking fee off the dress either! List of things that went wrong. 1. Fist visit (after we paid $30. Booking fee) Oct 2024, the person helping us (I think it was Stephanie the owner} wasn't very helpful & rude & then she had to leave half way through our 90 min. session to catch a flight. Sadie took over & was Great! She ended up finding the perfect dress for my daughter that brought tears to her eyes. We bought the dress & a $400 veil (never did get the $30. Booking fee off our purchase though). 2. We called in Feb. when we thought the dress should've been there. It was, so we went to try it on 2 days later. There was quite a bit of flaws with loose threads & and extra piece of material from the applique placement. We were frustrated that nobody was around to help us. As we voiced our concern aloud to each other, Sadie came over to help. She said the dress should not look like this & phoned the owner & sent pictures. Said they would re-order the dress. She even took the time to remeasure my daughter before sending the re-order in. 3. 4 months has come & no word form Khole Mae. We ended up calling them to see if the dress had arrived, (this is now 8 months of waiting for dress). My message from them said "yes it has been her since Feb. When I returned the call after hours, the person that answered the phone stating another business name. I said I was calling Khloe Mae, she said "yes I'm sorry this is". I explained that we were already there in Feb. & had issues, so a new dress was supposed to be ordered. Then someone else was on the phone & said she remembered that. I asked who I was speaking with & she said Stephanie. I thought it was another employee (not the owner), the one who answered the phone by another business name. We made an appt. to pick up the dress. Not feeling very optimistic that this was a new dress from my current interactions, we went today at 5pm. Guess what? It was the same dress we tried on in Feb. I was IRATE! The owner only wanted to give us $100. For their mess up. Or could order us new one (would it even get here under the 4 month deadline before the wedding?) No thanks we said. Then she said she would pay another tailor's cost (that she works with) to have it fixed. I asked I we could have $50 to have our seamstress fix it? She said if I brought her the receipt. When we decided to leave with the thought of $100 refund & having our seamstress fix it, I asked for something in writing stating she would cover that cost. She then said, "we can fix it for you here or have the place I know take care of it". I said you are not a seamstress 3 times already, we would like the person doing my dress, husbands suit & ring bearers outfits". She basically said in other words that they might charge more than they should. At that point I was DONE with Stephanie! She went onto say that this escalated event made her feel unsafe. WTH? I would not go here EVER, even if the sign outside said "fill a bag of dresses only $20. They probably all have holes in them. Second Dance is a sweet little boutique with a ton of options! From gowns to accessories, I was pleased with all that was available. I had a great experience looking for a veil for my wedding to match my dress. They had multiple options, some of which were brand new and had never been used. After a lot of searching at other stores I was amazed to find a veil that had never been used at a great discount! This place is beautiful and the owner is very friendly. My daughter got her winter formal dress here in November 2019 and we were the only ones in the store at that time. The environment was relaxed and there were so many options. We referred so many people here. Because we had such a great experience in November, we just returned last weekend on Saturday to buy her spring formal dress as well as her prom dress. This time, it was a lot busier. No one bothered to tell us that they had a limit on how many dresses you try on or that there is a time limit on the dressing rooms until about 40 minutes into our visit. The dressing room we were in didn't have a mirror, so my daughter stepped out to look at her dress in the mirror and the older lady who circulates around the dressing room let a handful of girls into my daughter's dressing room. We had to knock outside the room to get my daughters purse and coat out of the room. After we learned about the dress try-on rules, my daughter and I felt super rushed. It was like being in a busy restaurant where people are stalking your table, pacing back-and-forth. Many of the dresses were missing hooks or fasteners and we also noticed many of them had been snagged or were missing sequins. We had traveled over an hour to get there and wanted to buy two dresses, so we just went to Rivertown Crossings Mall and found both dresses there. We may have spent more money, but it was way less stressful. If we do return to Second Dance again, it will definitely not be on a Saturday. It would have been a better experience if they would have informed us of their 5 item limit as well as the time limit in the dressing room. read more

They get 5 stars because they actually carry plus sized clothing that didn't look like you were browsing your grandma's closet! (No offense Grandma's) I went here Saturday with my daughter as a last resort to find a prom dress! After a long defeating day we decided to try this place out! We were greeted immediately and told the lay out of the store! They have different price ranges depending if you buy used or new! $300 and up for new and all the way down to $5! Yes you read that right they had a $5 rack of dresses!!! That's better than goodwill. Store is absolutely adorable and there were two sides to the store; formal dresses and wedding! Lots to choose from in short and long dresses! Only complaint would be that the changing rooms aren't too great being just a bunch of curtains. Eeek because us bigger girls bending over etc or knocking into the other "rooms" dividing curtains sure was an adventure lol ...... But definitely will be coming back! read more

Spent a Saturday afternoon in this shop. Walked in and initially felt a little trepidation....pretty staff who all fit in the tiny dresses. Would the place work for us and our more average sizing? While the racks of prom dresses were packed, maybe bordering on hard to get through, the wide range of inventory was refreshing. Wide ranging in price point, style, and size. The on site and oh so helpful alterations lady became our new shopping best friend. She knew her brands and body types. More staff like her would make the place even more customer friendly. The downtown location is decidedly trendy, parking is street, finding the store front relatively easy. We left with a dress and would come back for another. If they gain some space and thin out the racks the experience can only get better. A few more chairs for those of us waiting during try on time would be even more stellar. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! So glad I came here to look for a homecoming dress! I found something totally unique that was absolutely stunning AND under $70! Normally I budget for about $150 every dance and I was so amazed to find something under $100. They had a mix of both high end designer dresses and department store brands, along with some hidden gems. I know that Windsor is somewhere I tend to look but I've had too many twins at a dance to want to shop there anymore. Wash away the stigma of wearing a previously worn dress because this is the absolutely best place to buy your wedding dress (or any dress for that matter)! Not only does this place have a wide selection of wedding dresses, which is what I went in for, but they also had a wonderful collection of bridesmaid, prom, and mother of the bride/groom dresses, which my mother and soon to be mother-in-law enjoyed perusing through. The best part about this place is they always have different dresses in stock, so you could easily come in and try on different dresses every couple of weeks until you found the perfect one. The woman who runs the shop, and I feel awful because I don't remember her name, was incredibly helpful and kind as we tried on dress after dress. She offered assistance and direction if you needed it, but was not over the top pushy on sales like some of the other bridal places are. Overall, I would rate this place and experience as one of the best I had while I was wedding dress hunting. The owner is pure joy! Everytime the visit, I'm greeted with a smile and prompt assistance. Yesterday I took several dresses to the store and they accepted about half of what I brought in! I also work at a major bridal retailer in the city. If and when girls leave my store without a dress I quickly recommend Second Dance. Their prices are affordable.... not a steal, but definitely more cost efficient that major retailers. Their selection is nice too. Short party cocktail wear, bridal, to bridesmaids, mother of , prom/pageant wear and accesories...the best part they actually carry plus sizes too. The largest I've seen was a 26 there! Perfect for anyone shopping for a formal. Here are my cons: -Metered parking -Kinda of dark in the salon -Plastic bags on some but not all dresses (my recommendation would be to invest in bridal bags for all inventory for uniformity) -Kind of disorganized (maybe signage would help to identify and mainstream the selection) -no communication of if your items have sold. You have to call them. This is not good...definitely need to think of a process for this. Maybe there's a consignment software. I just don't see myself calling every week to check on my status. That deters me a little, but I'll see how it goes. I'll continue to send patrons their way. I haven't bought anything there yet, but I'll definitely keep it in mind. read more

I did dry clean the dress before I gave it to them and sounds like they recommend/prefer this-she spent a lot of time checking for cleanliness and condition before she took the dress. I found Second Dance on IG and fell in love. Shopping sustainably and locally is super important to me, and I was so happy to find Second Dance! First of all - the website is excellent!! It's up to date, informative and easy to use. I was able to pre-screen for dresses that I liked to save time during my appointment. When I got to my appointment I appreciated the COVID procedures and privacy I had to shop. Stephanie was so much fun to shop with and it made shopping alone (Thanks, COVID!) much more enjoyable! I ended up finding a dress that I LOVED and the price was incredible. I got a dress there that was frayed in several places and was covered in makeup. They only would give me $5 off and told me that it wasn't their problem someone got makeup all over it. They were very rude and told me to go get it dry cleaned at an expensive place. Overall it was a very bad experience and I do not recommend going there due to rude workers and over priced dresses. read more

First off... Very nice girls that work there. But... Dresses were ridiculous on prices!!! Most were $200-$400... for a second hand prom dress??? There was one in there we had that exact one from before and paid less than $100 new and they had it for $160! Was extremely irritating as well to only have 3 dressing rooms and the whole 30 min we were there, 2 rooms were occupied by girls trying on dresses while their moms kept bringing more. There is supposed to be a 5 dress maximum. It was extremely rude and the sales girls didn't do anything about it. Dresses were crammed into racks and yeah... we won't be back. Was a waste of time... and we went to the mall and got one for $70 that's beautiful... and new! Don't get the concept of this place... maybe wedding dresses are better priced?? read more
