Entrances on two sides. Parking on three sides.

Attended a child's birthday party here and the kids had a BLAST! Call for pricing details, but at this party mom rented two lanes, one for the 'big kids' and one for the 'preschoolers''. There were a few of those ramps to push your ball down for those who can't, or prefer not to, throw the ball. The gutters were all blocked, so every ball hit a pin or two at a minimum. Pizza and pitchers of soft drinks or water were made available to the party. Mom had pre-ordered some, but the guests asked for more, so she added them on to the tab. Mom brought the cake. Food and drinks are not allowed near the lanes, but there were a couple of tables that sat eight each, and a couple of tall round tables you put your drink on while you stand around and chat on the upper level where you can see all the action. The birthday kid got a gold bowling pin that all the guests signed. The lanes auto tally the score so the kids were able to play without interruption and see who was winning as the games progressed. Each lane was allowed two games within the time allotted to the party. Again, check with the business for details on that. It's a small bowling alley, and between bowlers on other lanes and kids having fun, it was quite loud! There is an enclosed area with a full bar, billiards and darts. This is a 21+ area and is much quieter. Besides pizza they also offer chicken nuggets, hot dogs and french fries. Restrooms and lockers are near the cashier, which is where you get your bowling shoes and order your food. There is an ATM machine here as well. They have separate bins for recycling and trash, although your beer can/bottle goes back to the bar. Parking is on three sides of the building, and you can enter from two sides. Located just off a main road we missed the turn-off onto a dirt road. The building is on your right not far down that road. Bowling and dart leagues meet here if you have interest in either of those. Mom and dad had many positive things to say about their experiences with the business owner . It's really a family friendly spot and with the addition of bowling and dart leagues it has a lot to offer the local community.

We are a very inexperienced group of bowlers and they kindly put us on the farthest lane. The food server promptly took our food order and checked up on us a few times. The other family (from out of town) really liked the food and especially the pricing (considering we were thinking about Foxwoods's High Roller bowling lounge. A similar package was $300) We ordered (3 at $4 each) hot Suppi stuffies, and order of (4) breadsticks with beer cheese (amazing), a Mac and cheese (topped with crispy bacon and toasted breadcrumbs) with (4) wings combo, and a pepperoni pizza (in addition to the cheese pizza in our package). For the 6 of us (2 of them being children) we still took home some left overs. Like I said - we're inexperienced bowlers and it took us 2 hours to play 2 games of bowling on 1 lane for the 6 of us. Our 2 hours fell right on our 10th frame of the second game and they were nice enough to add 10 minutes to our game. Make sure to tip the staff and servers. They were super helpful and friendly. We will be back soon!

We got the sampler platter and pizza, both were surprisingly good. Nothing fancy or Michelin-level, but enjoyable. The layout was awkward. The seating is tables and chairs instead of booths, which makes it hard to hang out, and there's no space to store shoes under the table. The tables are staggered, so when we arrived the group next to us was sitting at our table, which caused a domino effect of people swapping seats and walking through each other's space. This made food delivery to your lanes confusing -- instead of asking for lane numbers, staff were basically auctioning off food table to table. The arcade was minimal at best. It was fine, but probably not somewhere we'd rush back to. Spare Time is still better overall, in my opinion.

I think they redid the place recently because I remember the bar area differentently from theast time I went there and the arcade seems a lot bigger. I wish they have heavier balls for smaller fingers but it all worked out. I will go again

Welcome to Ducks On The Avenue - home of Duckpin Bowling. It's not the full sized bowling pins and bowling balls you're most probably used to. It's not the skinny candle pins you'll find in Massachusetts. This is Duckpin bowling with shorter stubbier pins, a holeless ball about the size of a medium grapefruit, and three balls per frame. This was really hard to play -I didn't crack 60 in either of the two games I bowled. But I was pretty good at tossing the ball into the left gutter. One of my industry organizations held a meeting and charity fund-raiser there last night and we had a blast! When's the last time you went bowling with a revolving disco ball, black lights, and music? Yeah, I thought so. Wanna drink while you are there to enhance your experience? Beers are available for $4 to $8. Since the balls don't have finger holes, you basically have to palm it and fling it. Our techniques varied from smoothly rolling the balls onto the alley as gently as one would place a sleeping infant in a crib, to those who lobbed the ball like a hand grenade trying to blow a hole in the floor halfway down the alley, to the young lady who preferred a two-handed underhand roll (like an old time basketball free throw shooter) who hysterically knocked down all ten pins with her unique technique. We had a ton of fun there! I want to give a shout-out to our host Patrick, who seemed to be running the place single handedly. He was awesome.
