Haslet office - We had an 8:15 appointment and we checked in at 8:16. The check in desk asked if we could come in a little later today. The 2nd desk jumped in and said "No, she (baby's mom) is done for today!!!" She was extremely rude and disrespectful. This is POOR patient care. BEWARE OF THIS OFFICE!!!! When we called back to discuss with the manager the same lady REFUSED to transfer the call. After looking at the reviews it appears this is NOT and isolated issue. The office staff is awful. This office is awful. The front office staff is rude and extremely disrespectful. We were turned away for being 1 minute late. Then they fired us as a patient because we addressed how rude the staff was with the manager Cindy. Beware of this office. read more

My family and I are new to the Fort Worth area and Kid Care was the first place we chose for a pediatrician. I have been twice to Kid Care, both being a not so good experience. The first time I went the front desk was courteous, the wait time was over 45 minutes and the doctor was no where near genuine. He didn't have a personality at all and didn't seem to have that caring feeling. The second time I went, the front desk staff was very cold, the nurse was friendly but again, the DIFFERENT doctor that we had was very unfriendly also. She was very by-the-book. I can say she was ALMOST rude. I have heard different things about Kid Care and their staff. Some negative, some positive... My experience was negative. I will not be going back. read more

This is what I wrote to their feedback email and never got a response. Not only did I not receive any response, but I received a letter from the office stating that my children were no longer allowed to be seen in their offices unless a medical emergency due to a breakdown in the patient's understanding of office policies. I made it very clear to them that I would not be using their services any longer. What kind of petty horrible people run these offices? I did not use foul language. I did not treat anyone badly. All of this over a $205 bill that was all a misunderstanding to begin with. To whom it may concern: I have been a customer of yours for over 8 years. I have been bringing my 4 children into your office in Fort Worth since the day we left the hospital with my 8 year old son. When my other children were born, we did the same. The Doctors we have seen in this office have been amazing. The nurses and support staff have been pretty good to us as well. Back in November, I brought my son into your office. There was an issue with my insurance and apparently that visit was not covered. I never received any sort of communication from anyone in your offices regarding owing you guys anything. We have brought our other children into the office since that time and no one had made any comments regarding any past due balance. In February, I called to make an appointment as my son's medication was running low and I had been told that in order to get a refill, I would have to come back in. At the time I called to make an appointment, I was told that his account had been sent to collections and he would not be able to be seen in that office until the past due balance was rectified. I called Juan at the Keller office in the billing department. He informed me that the insurance denied the claim due to a gap in coverage and he would be happy to take my payment. I told him that was incorrect and I would call the Insurance company. After speaking with the insurance company, I was told that there should not have been a gap in coverage and a payment would be sent immediately. I still had enough medicine for my son to last until mid April so I didnt fret over it and thought nothing of it. This morning I called your Fort Worth office and asked to make an appointment. I was told that my son was no longer a patient of KidCare Pediatrics and if I wanted anything from them I would have to call Juan at collections. I called Juan and asked him what was going on. He informed me the insurance payment never came and asked if I would like to pay the $230 so my son could be seen. I told him what the insurance told me and he refused to help me. He said that insurance had not given them any payment and until he received payment he couldnt clear my son to be seen by a Dr in your offices. I asked for a supervisor and he kept telling me she was busy or on the phone. Finally I told him to put me on hold and I will wait until she is off the phone. She immediately got on the phone and told me the same thing he told me. I begged and pleaded with her to fix it and to please let me make an appointment for my son. He needs his medicine. I told her she could be mean to me or act like I was some scumbag that didnt pay their bills if she wanted to, but my sone REALLY needs to see his Dr and get a prescription refill. She continued to interrupt me every time I tried to speak and then kept accusing me of interrupting her while I was talking. She treated me like I was not a customer and I was just some jerk that didnt pay their bills. As I said before, we have been seen at this specific office for over 8 years. All my children have been in that office since they were born. She did not care about me and could not care any less when I pleaded with her regarding my son. All of this over a messed up insurance payment. I just wanted to inform someone of the way I was treated. Apparently my ex-wife called a little while later and was treated like crap by the same woman. She told her they sent the invoices for what we owed to 3 separate addresses and kept changing her story and backtracking. I will be paying the balance due and receiving a refund from my insurance company, but my ex-wife and I have both decided that we will no longer be doing any business with your company. I have been in customer service in one form or another for my entire adult life and I have never been treated as poorly as I was today. All 4 of my children will now be seen at a different Dr office. Your company will lose out on thousands of dollars over the next 17 years. All because your billing people treated my ex-wife and myself like common criminals instead of the 8 year clients we are. I truly hope whoever is reading this will take this seriously and some sort of action will be taken. I would never want anyone to have to go through what I went through this morning. read more

We have been using Kid Care for almost five years. Since my oldest daughter's very first newborn visit. We have seen several of the providers, but we have two in particular that are our favorites. This past winter my, at the time 5 month old baby, got very sick. I cannot say enough about the exemplary care that she received. It was the week of Christmas and the Dr. that was treating her gave us her cell and home numbers to keep informed of her symptoms and incase we had any concerns. We talked on Christmas Day! I was beyond impressed that she cared enough about my daughter to take the time to check on her. It ended up being a long road to recovery for her and they called frequently to check on her. I call the nurse's line anytime I have a question or concern. And they always get back to me quickly, and are very helpful. The only issue that I have, was also mentioned in another review. That is the reception staff can be standoffish sometimes. Also I'm glad we are familiar with how our benefits work because they get kind of confused sometimes about what to charge us. Overall, I love this place. They have been nothing but good to my kids,and we are very grateful for having a pediatricians office we trust. read more

If I could do a negative star, I would. First of all, I am only writing this review as a warning to potential patients as 'care' for patients is NOT a priority at this place. I called to schedule an appointment for my 9 year old who was suffering with fever, aches, pains, and lethargy. She was sent home from school so logically in order to return she has to see a physician. Since we are healthy people and only moved here 8 months ago, we do not have a primary care Dr. When the receptionist answered my call it went like this & you judge for yourself: Can I get name, date of birth on the child? Me: provided Do you have insurance? Me: yes, provided info I don't see her in our system Me: no why would you it's a first time visit Oh we can't see her if she's not an established patient.. Me: how can she be established if this would be the very first time we are seen? Let me ask my manager.. Me: waiting Ok well I asked and I guess we can see her but it can't just be a one time visit Me: so you want to see her even if she's well? I can't guarantee the future, so if she's sick again then sure. Can I get her name, date of birth, and insurance info AGAIN!? Me: you know what, I already gave you that info! I think I'll go somewhere else where they actually want to treat sick patients rather than receive dollars per head! **Weirdest phone/customer service experience ever! The office manager, Julia wasn't much help either, after excusing her employee and trying to explain the established patient nonsense to me AGAIN, she rudely hung up on me! --POOREST customer service EVER! Sidenote for Dr. Gomez:: I called Pediatric Urgent Care and was treated completely opposite, in & out, and they CARED so much they called the next day to see how my daughter was doing! Never get appointments times I ask for, never seen the same dr have asked them 3 times to put a note on my file saying I pay a $20.00 copay and of course they haven't, so every time I go for apt I have to tell them that my insurance has a 20 copay and I would like to pay it so I don't receive a bill later and they still try not to let me pay, the staff also gets upset if you show up more than 15 min early., mind you it is off 35 and western center, so i leave a little bit earlier because you can never predict traffic in that area Also I have an angry face and intimidating eyes color so often people assume that I am angry when I'm not, The staff had the supervisor call me and say that I have an attitude and they will treat me the way I treat them!!! I work in customer service and realize that there are many people like myself, who ARE NOT MAD they just look that way, for them to basically want me to fins a new Dr when I have insurance (Not medicaid) and pay my bills Is wrong. I have never spoke out of term, I am short spoken Meaning I answer what's asked and move on. For this clinic to do this is outrageous I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC FOR A NY REASON WHAT SO EVER!!! Just moved to the area and was recommended to kid care pediatrics by friends from church. I was told that Dr. Fillipo & Gomez were fabulous. Both doctors were scheduled out for months for well child visits, so I took an appointment with Dr. Williams. She was fantastic. She was thorough, took quite a bit of time with me, and was kind and funny. I highly recommend Dr. Williams and plan on getting to know the other two doctors with all four of my children. I called at around 4:00 to make an appointment for my daughter . I didn't need to be seen right away just a sick appointment. They told me that due to how late in the day I would have to take her to urgent care or call the next day at 7:30am for an appointment, that they don't make appointments for the next day. I've never herd of this and I've been going for years . If this is a new rule , I'll be transferring our care. Very frustrating to have to keep her home because I don't know what they have available for that day. read more

We love kid care pediatrics, we've been using them since 2011, both at the fossil creek and the haslet location. Dr. Flippo and Dr. Gomez are great, we use both of them typically, but we've never a bad experience with any of the other doctors or nurses. I recommend them to anyone we know, always fast to respond to my phone calls, easy to make appointments, easy to get in for appointments. read more

If I could give this office less than one star I definitely would. First off, the receptionists have no clue what they are doing. Second, my daughter had to give a urine sample and there was nowhere to put it so I opened the door to let them know and every employee looked at me as if they had no idea what to do with it. So we get into the exam room and of course we have to see a nurse practitioner like always which I think is ridiculous, I request to see a doctor and no one is ever available, EVER. I explain my child's situation and the PA said well, we could have her see an ENT or a Neurologist, it's up to you. Me? Aren't you the professional? Long story short we will never go there again and have since found the best pediatrician who ordered an MRI IMMEDIATELY and didn't let me "choose" who to see. Don't waste your time going here, there are way better healthcare providers who actually take time to listen and understand the situation!! read more

After moving from WI, we chose Kid Care for our two daughters, ages 2.5 and 6 months. We went for our daughter's 6 month appointment and were not pleased at all with our experience. She was seen by Dr. Dy, whom I cannot find information on ANYWHERE, which is odd. She isn't even listen on the office's list of pediatricians. We figured she might just be new, and agreed to see her. We had a long wait in the waiting room, which was fine. However, once we saw the doctor, I wanted to leave in the middle of the appointment. We were not given any stats on how our daughter was growing in terms of percentiles, motor development, etc. Then the doctor asked how much formula she was getting and I told her usually 32 ounces/day. She gasped and said "THAT IS TOO MUCH!" and then told us that she should be moving towards eating almost all solids and only getting 12 ounces of formula a day. TWELVE OUNCES! I know I am not a doctor, but I am not an idiot, either. I have done my research and know that is not even close to enough formula for a 6 month old baby. Then she gave us a handout that they give to all patients, which said that 6 month olds should, in fact, be getting 28-40 oz of formula per day, but if they seem like they want more, to supplement with juice. What kind of a pediatrician recommends juice for a 6 month old? Juice has no nutritional value and, from what I have read everywhere else, shouldn't really be given to children under 1 year of age at all. Lastly, as she was lecturing us about what a horrible job we were doing raising our children, Dr. Dy asked if I stayed at home and when I said "yes" she looked at my 2.5 year old and told her she should be in preschool. Not only was I offended by the fact that she made it seem like my daughter sits at home and watches tv all day, but she was only 2. Preschools won't accept children until they are 3, so we didn't have a choice, and I am certainly not going to send her to day care when the point of me being a stay-at-home mom was to care for my children myself. It seemed as though because she is a working mom, she judges women poorly who choose to stay home. I was so offended I wanted to cry. Needless to say, we will not be going back to KidCare and I would NEVER recommend that anyone allow their children to be seen by Dr. Dy. Not only does she seem to give poor recommendations, but she makes you feel like an idiot of a parent if you actually do your research and follow guidelines provided by every other pediatrician in the country. read more

Three stars b/c I love Dr Lewis & Dr Gomez. But their office policies need to change. A) Flu shots need to be available just like any other immunizations or at the convenience of the patients, not at your convenience at a flu shot clinic only available certain days of the week. B) When patients would like to schedule an appt later in the day, make it happen. Don't tell them you can't schedule appts that late. It was like 9:30 in the morning and I was trying to make an appt for like 11. And they told me they can't schedule appts that late. It's their policy to schedule appts at the earliest time slot avail so they could prob leave early if there are no appts made later in the afternoon. Again, at their convenience not the patients. C) When patient is paying "upfront" w/ no insurance, tell them that what they're signing is some kind of waiver to the "upfront" office visit. They told me $100 plus labs which I paid for at the office. I get a bill. It was b/c the Dr rated the visit a high tier visit. So I had to pay $50 more. And don't go there if you don't have insurance b/c they charge double the amount for flu and strep tests. And they charge for each individual strain of Flu. They charge $48 for testing for Influenza A & another $48 for Influenza B. And then another $40 for the Strep. Although the staff here has been nicer than most I've encountered here in Texas, it has really become an epidemic with wonderful doctors getting overshadowed by dumb policies and rude/incompetent office staff. read more

I would not recommend them to anyone. I called to make flu shot appointment and her response is they don't do flu shots on Monday they are too busy to "just" do flu shots. "Just" a flu shot... People are dying from the flu so I think it is more important than they think. Never again will I take my kids back! In top of it all they only allow you to call on Fridays to make flu shot appointments for the following week. read more

It makes me so sad to write a bad review, but being new to the area I wish I had read all these bad yelp reviews before choosing this office to care for my children. I had a well visit for my child. Thankfully she was very healthy. She didn't even need shots. I kind of thought we shouldn't have even gone. Imagine my surprise when I get a bill for $20 since they billed my insurance for a well AND a sick visit! I'm even more surprised when I called the office and they informed me because of the way insurance is headed they have to bill for more things. While examining my child, the doctor told me to buy an over the counter cream for my daughter's skin. No prescription, no follow ups, nothing but her mentioning I should buy this over the counter cream. Now they can bill my insurance and me for a sick visit. So sad. read more

We are so very happy with Dr. Nnamani! She is so knowledgeable and so very gentle with our kids...our son has a Sensory Processing Disorder and she has been amazing every step of the way. The front office staff is very organized and on top of things. I saw previous reviews and don't know about prior to June 2014, but for the last year this office and Dr. Nnamanii have been amazing, and I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I recommend Kid Care Pediatrics to all friends and family. They have 3 office locations; Keller, Haslet, and Western Center and I35. We have visited all 3 offices and they clean and the wait is never very long (3 minutes at the most from our experiences). We've been using them for 4 years with 2 kiddos and they are always quick to call us back on nurse calls, when I have questions, follow up with me, and get us in if we need to be seen right away. All of the doctors are great, but we have mostly used Dr. Flippo (she is amazing) and Dr. Gomez (who is great as well and known throughout DFW). They have a sick and well-area to keep kids separated in the waiting room and a changing table for babies in the bathroom. You can't go wrong visiting Kid Care or choosing them for your family. read more
