Middle schooler sent a text yesterday saying she was feeling worse. I sent her to the school nurse but the nurse was just going to send her home. I called her and asked her if she could do the Goodside Health, Urgent Care virtual visit we signed up for at the beginning of the year. She said yes. In 20 minutes a provider called me after having a virtual visit with our kiddo. Had ordered some of the normal tests the nurse could do. CoVid, flu, strep ect. Then called me back a few minutes later and sent a prescription to the pharmacy and said I could pick her up. This urgent care is gross. I'm sorry, it's just so dirty. The waiting area was covered in crumbs and the walls are so dirty. I took pictures in the exam room, as you can see the air duct is covered in mold and dust, the trash can was disgusting and the exam table is broken. I'm giving three stars because the check in staff was super friendly, and the provider was so attentive and kind. You can tell the staff really care, but management/owners are irresponsible for letting the building get so filthy. read more

My appointment was at 6:45pm we didn't get seen by a nurse until 8:19pm. And the doctor didn't come in the room until 9:17pm What is the point of even having an appointment? While paying for my copay the receptionist ran my care credit card five times before she realize that they don't even accept care credit. This office is overbooked and understaffed with only one doctor working. We didn't leave till 9:36pm. This will be My 1st and last time coming here. Save time go to Baylor!!! read more

So there we were, our kiddo sick on a Sunday morning. One of many parents nightmare, where to go, its not really an emergency, since its not really an emergency, do I wanat to pay emergency premiums, yadda yadda yadda. Well, we went to Ft Worth Cook's and noticed a FULL HOUSE, apparently many kiddos had some strand of cold or related symptoms among other things. Fast forward to me saying "forget this, there has to be a better spot", one google search and phone call later, we arrive here. Pediatric Center is about 15 minutes away from Cook Children's Medical Center. Worth the drive if you don't have an emergency and don't want to wait HOURS elsewhere. All in all, a great group of individuals that took care of my son! This place has only been open since April, so as of this writing, this is probably your best bet for little to no wait, and since this is not considered an Emergency Room, you only pay Urgent Care co-pay's (similar to CareNow). read more

Alliance kids urgent care is a joke. This place is a scam artist. They said "they make their own rules" regarding insurance and wouldn't bill my insurance like they are supposed to. They wanted $250 just for us to walk into an exam room when our insurance is supposed to cover 100% of that fee. I tried explaining this to them and they said they don't have to bill it since they have their own rules. Come to Cooke's urgent care down the road. Much better service and they actually follow the insurance rules the correct way. read more

I took my 3 month old daughter here around 7pm when Cooks Urgent Care didn't take our insurance. The ladies at this office are literal angels and treated my daughter and I so well. I needed to nurse her and told them I was going to my car to do so and if they could call me when it was our turn. They immediately said no we will take you back now so you can nurse. Which was so kind. They were able to quickly diagnose the issue and got us on our way in no time. If I ever need urgent care again for her they will be my first choice. I have visited twice before and have had fairly good things to say about this urgent care. HOWEVER, tonight I brought my son in at 7:20 pm and paid my visit in FULL before being seen this is an important thing to say which I'll get to later. We left about 8:33 pm. Still good timing BUT the catch is what I'm about to explain. He has a horribly bad ear infection. Leaking and draining / high fever of 103 in a lot of pain. They said they were sending a script to Walgreens for us I made sure to tell them it was a 24/7 pharmacy. TWO HOURS go by after we left and Walgreens has said they absolutely never got the script. Urgent care for kids closed at 9 pm which zero option for on call assistance. So now my son is going an entire night again without starting ANY meds for this rabid ear infection we specifically paid $120 for to be seen tonight to get NO PRESCRIPTION SENT IN. I am in tears watching him feel horrible and knowing I'll have to wait until tomorrow in which they don't even open until 12 PM! At this point I could see our pedi in the morning and get charged for that visit as well. At this point I will demand a refund and hope there is an apology involved. Flat out SAD for my son and a waste of money for us!!! read more

UNTRUSTWORTHY PRACTICE, STAY AWAY! Not even worth 1 star! Took my daughter here on 6/28/2020 for a rapid COVID test, they made us stay in our car while they took my insurance card and FSA card. Rather than verify my insurance and correctly calculate the amount I owe, they deducted $270 from my FSA account. My insurance would have paid for it in full on the spot if they bothered to verify it. Later I found out they charged me a $50 convenience fee for extra PPE - which they didn't bill to my insurance company. According to my insurance company, they are not supposed to do that. Urgent Care claimed they didn't have a code for this fee until July - then why won't they pay me back the $50 if they now have a code to bill insurance? Finally received a check from Urgent Care on 11/14/2020 for $220 - they still owe me the $50 conv fee! It is a disgrace how these health care providers are taking advantage of people needing COVID testing during this pandemic! read more

We love this place!! When your kid is sick & you need in quickly, they are awesome. I called & the lady I spoke with yesterday was so sweet & told me they were booked unfortunately for the day but to keep going online & checking for last minute cancellations. We got in the same day & the telemed dr was so nice. We accidentally were late to our appointment due to being at the wrong location & they were gracious enough not to cancel our appointment. Even the person who called for our test results pulled up each pharmacy due to it being a Sunday evening & finding one that was open for us, to fill our prescription. Review is for the Alliance location. Brought my 4-year old daughter in yesterday evening for possible strep throat. She's had a bad cough for a couple weeks and finished antibiotics for an ear infection about a week ago. I called beforehand to see what the wait time was, and was told there were no patients being seen at that time. We walked in and the office lobby is really clean. We filled out the initial visit (never been here before yesterday) paperwork and sat for a total of about 3-5 minutes. The nurses were very caring and gentle with my daughter. We didn't get to see a doctor, but did see the NP named Bliss who quickly diagnosed as just throat irritation due to the cough. We were given printed instructions and my daughter received a lollipop after getting an oral steroid to help with the cough. The entire visit took a total of maybe 30 minutes. The exam room was clean with a TV monitor playing movies and a couple of books and toys to keep little ones occupied while waiting to be seen. They've got really convenient hours (open til 10pm on weekdays and open on Sundays!) which is fantastic because kids are notorious for getting their most sick when the doctor is closed. Terrific place, so glad we chose to come here! read more

The Woodlands location is always my 'Go to' place for the kids when they get sick and we can't get in fast enough to our regular pc. To be perfectly honest, I think I would just rather my kids ALWAYS go here. The entire staff is amazing and kind. Nice facility and nice nurses, but we will not be back. I brought in my sick daughter to see a doctor about a bad cough. Waited for 1.5 hours and never saw a doctor. I could however, see him sitting at a desk on a computer most of the time checking his cell phone. My daughter eventually fell asleep from waiting so long. We wound up leaving so she could rest at home. A 1.5+ hour wait time for a sick 20 months old is UNACCEPTABLE! read more

I would give INFINITY STARS if that were an option. Been there several times since my first visit. Both my kids have been there multiple times for multiple conditions. Always late at night b/c that's when you feel like you've waited long enough but you can't wait any longer or until the morning to take them to the Dr. Dr Cowan is the best! I wish he were still at the Alliance location. The new doctor is really nice too though. But she can't make accommodations for patients w/o insurance unlike Dr Cowan b/c he's the owner. I can't say enough about the Alliance location. Nurses are great. Office staff is great. Office is clean. Wait time is minimal. Great location. I have had quite a few terrible experiences w/ office staff at other dr offices, so I know a KEEPER when I see one. When they're nice like that it's confirmation that they're happy with their jobs. And I bet they are w/ an awesome boss like Dr Cowan! I just wish he had a ped office as well as the urgent care. I'm seriously thinking of taking my children to the urgent care instead of taking them to their pcp from now on. Take your kids here!! read more

The moment I walked in with my 20 month old son (who was having a severe allergic reaction to cashews) I knew my son was in excellent care. Dr. Cowan and his entire staff rushed us right in and took such tender care of him (and me). Some Benadryl and steroids and my son bounced back enough to hand Dr. Cowan a book, which he began reading to him. He even addressed his excema, gave me samples of a cream and spent much more time with us than I even would have imagined. We left with only paying a co-pay (what ANOTHER nice surprise!), a sticker and a sucker in the mouth of a very content and well baby. I would recommend this place to anyone anytime. I hope we don't have to return, but if we do, I know my son will be very well taken care of. read more

Brought my daughter in tonight with a case of pink eye. Staff and Doc were friendly. There was no wait time. Staff was super quick to see her and got us in and out within roughly 20 mins ( I wasn't clocking it but it was super quick) My biggest thing was they accept tricare, military insurance. Care now doesn't, very few urgent cares around here do. Place was very clean. There was a tv with Disney jr on in the exam room along with a sensory toy, book, and other toys. Best urgent care I have ever been to! My son was stung by a wasp and it was very swollen and red after several doses of Benadryl and Motrin. We were concerned about it becoming worse so we headed in at 9 PM on a Friday night. All of the staff was very helpful, kind and gentle with my son and very informative with us. He was given steroids and antibiotics and we were in and out in 30 minutes. Great experience and I will definitely be recommending this urgent care to all my friends and family. read more

I went to the Hulen location not Alliance. My daughter was up all night with croup symptoms and I needed to get her to a doctor quick and of course it's the weekend. They were able to see me at 9:00 on a Sunday morning which was extremely helpful. I was expecting to have to pay a large copay but I was wrong, I only had to pay the same amount as I would if I went to see her primary doctor. So great!!! The staff was extremely warm and welcoming. I was already stressed and tired from being up all night and now I was at a doctor so it was helpful to see smiling faces. They were able to see us immediately with no wait at all. It didn't even take long for the doctor to come in and see her. Which by the way Dr. Cowan was so great. They gave her juice and meds to help lower her fever and at the end of the appointment they had to give her some more meds and gave her a popsicle to cheer her up. Not mention they have stickers and organic lollipops. Such a great visit. If we ever have to go see a doctor after hours I will go there every time. Every single one of the staff members were helpful and caring which is exactly what you want out of a visit like this. read more

Not a fan of the PA we saw. She wasn't very genuine and told my son that it was going to be his fault if it hurt while digging in his ear for wax. He did exactly as she said. I went in with my daughter because she injured her elbow and I wanted to get it check out. Everyone was really nice and there was a short wait. They performed X-rays and the doctor came got us to show us that she had fractured her elbow. They then proceeded to put a temporary cast on and we were on our way. The next day I received a call from them stating the radiologist reviewed the X-rays and said it wasn't broken. I proceeded to question the sudden findings because I saw the fracture on the X-ray myself. I told her well if it's not broken then what about the cast they put on? She said come back and we won't charge you to take it off. I decided to take her to the orthopedic doctor, sure enough it was fractured and she needed a full arm cast. I'm really disappointed because I've always used this place for minor illnesses and they were always great. I will not use them for a injury again. read more

I had been coming to this location for the first time a few years ago. I took my son a few days ago with fever. I was given antibiotics and told it was an ear infection,!although prior to us coming he never complained about his ear. Two days later he continued to have fever. I took him to his pediatrician and he stated that there was no ear infection to discontinue given antibiotics. I went back that same day to talk to them. First of all, most of the time, you don't get to see the same medical provider, different people are there most of the time (we normally only saw nurse practitioners). The second nurse practitioner that we saw said that the doctor that we saw earlier that morning is correct, my son doesn't have an ear infection. But of course since she didn't see him two days ago she doesn't know what to say . I was upset that I didn't get a clear answer whether or not to stop giving my son his originality prescribed antibiotics. After hearing my concerns about the fever never going away, she said that she has no other ways to help my son. Never again am I coming to this location. Not worth it. The first time this week that we came in , we were in and out quickly. My second time when I wanted to talked to them about my concerns they made us wait almost twice the amount of time. read more
