I like the fact that I usually see MARTA police around the lot and the station itself. It is a short hop to the 5 points station which is the main transfer point. Of note, there are no other businesses adjacent to this area. Great option for going downtown to the various arenas (State Farm, MB Stadium, etc...) , or other venues and attractions. You can buy a Breeze card (which can be reloaded with $), or buy a singe-trip pass using the automated vending system outside of the gates to the train. I love having this resource available in my community.

Let me omit everything I said about parking being available right here and now. At 8am, parking is great, and there's plenty. At 10:30am, there is not a SINGLE parking spot to be found, unless you're going on the weekends. If you use Marta regularly, my suggestion would be to go to the Kensington station if you're going to be riding after 9:30am. The Kensington station is only a few minutes from Avondale, and has a free lot which has at least 5 times the amount parking that the Avondale station does.
