There is parking here (short term/long term) The couple of times that I've been at this station there were people walking around begging for change (at the station and on the train itself). Otherwise this station is kept pretty clean. When the weather is bad or raining you need to be aware there are no real places to go for shelter. You wanna dress appropriately for it. You do see some sketch people, but I didn't feel unsafe. I do recommend traveling with companions if you can. We came when it was out, so they have cooling fans around the stations. Some areas are definitely not clean. I recommend not touching things if you can help it.

(37 minutes with 15 stops) If you're transferring to the gold line then do it at Lindbergh station (9 minutes. 2 stop from here) There are no long term parking available at this station. Everything is less than 24 hrs. which is always free at any Marta station. For long term you need to go up to Sandy Springs or Dunwoody (the two closest to this stop). The next station is Buckhead which has no parking amenities. FYI- College Park, Doraville, Lindbergh and North Springs stations are all $8.00 per day for long term parking. Brookhaven, Dunwoody, Kensington, Lenox and Sandy Springs are all $5.00 per day for long term parking. This is a nice station. I accidentally got off here once before I realized I had a couple more stops to go. It's smaller than the others and the parking lot is tiny (about 200 spots available) compare to the other stops. There was some old lady making a nuisance of herself by the gates and the lone staff member on duty was trying to ignore her. As I passed through the gate the lady slipped through behind me and I said she should probably buy a ticket and she told me to mind my own damn business. I would have, if she didn't use me to skip paying for the train fare. I bet her plan was to follow someone else out at her stop because you need to use your ticket to enter and exit the stations. When we got on the train the lady was babbling to herself the entire time. I don't think she was all there in the head. At least this train didn't smell like pee. There was no ventilation so it was very stuffy despite the cooler temperatures of the early morning.

My friend has been flying since he was a teenager and invited to join him on his Cirrus 4 seater. No TSA. Just walked up to the plane, loaded our luggage and flew for 25 minutes around ATL, Stone Mountain, Lawrenceville, and Athens Airport. The cruising altitude was less than 3,000 ft so very scenic. Stone Mt had a pretty rainbow over it. In the evening the flight plan was reversed. The plane practically flew itself but I was also very glad to be in the hands of a good pilot. Enjoyed this trip immensely. We flew into Athens to tailgate and enjoy the Dawgs take on the Kentucky University Wildcats.

While we were visiting the Georgia aquarium, we decided to take Marta to the airport. It took us a few minutes to figure out how to get a ticket. Then, a guy who was there cleaning the station asked us where we were heading. Who would imagine the station worker gives us false information? We ran to catch a train heading the wrong way! Luckily, I noticed that and got off the train. An elevator is a home for homeless people and inside the train smells like pot. Even with downtown traffic, you are safer and better off taking Uber.

The only times that I've gotten off of the train at this station was so that I could walk to either the Georgia Aquarium or World of Coca Cola, and the only time I've gotten on the train at this station was because I had returned from the Georgia Aquarium or World of Coca Cola. Every time I've been in this station, there have hardly been any other people around, including law enforcement, so I'm actually a lot more cautious, alert and aware of my surroundings when I'm in this area.
