My fiancé and I needed to relocate due to the pandemic as well because he is a frontline healthcare worker. My venue and almost all of my vendors refunded us our "non refundable" deposits - one was even $10,000! Other vendors gave half of the deposit back, understanding our loss and trying to negotiate an outcome that would be mutually beneficial. We paid Pasha a "non refundable" deposit which was close to $1,400. Pasha refused to refund our deposit or offer even a partial refund. Emails were not returned, and his tone was offensive - explaining that deposits are non refundable so that couples do not "back out of the contract". A global pandemic forcing a wedding cancellation is not "backing out". This is a poor business model, especially given the current pandemic climate and dealing with weddings. I have already told all of my Boston friends who are looking for a wedding photographer to avoid this greedy and shady business! Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life - don't trust it in the hands of this guy who has made it clear that his primary interest is only money. Also - to make it clear, there was no work done on his part to necessitate this almost $1,400 fee. We had a handful of brief phone conversations and exchange of text messages/emails. We did not meet in person, he never saw our venue or did any sort of walk through. Don't let my loss become yours next!

First, let's do the short version: YES, you should trust Pasha and his amazing team of…read morephotographers to take amazing pictures for you. His combination of creativity, unique viewpoints, bravery (snowstorm!) and talent is what you want. You'll smile while going through your pics. And that's all that needs to be said. But if you're staying for the details......Alright, let's do this: We learned a few things from Pasha, Mark and Taylor while they were snapping pics at our wedding. One -- we kiss a lot, but that's beside the point. Two - taking the time to get the small details the way you want them (I mean really putting in the effort) was worth it. And three -- we have a lot of people that love us. We now have pictures to prove it all. Nothing like catching someone smiling at you when they think no one's looking (except Pasha -- he knows, he's there for the shot). Nothing like going through your wedding photos and seeing a snap of someone writing "stay weird!" in your guestbook, or getting to retell the story of why your wedding dress has a tiny unicorn hanging from it (we got that shot too). Nothing like the smirk you get when you see that your photographer noticed the little bride-and-groom mice statues you hid inside your pastry tower. He got the special lining of the suit, he got the calligraphy on the signs, his shots show the fire in the opal and beauty of the ring its on. We got to see a million moments we didn't notice the first time around. Okay, okay. The details are captured. What about the photography? I said creative, unique, brave and talented, right? We were gasping when we hit those photos of us outside in the snow. You know how when you dream of a winter wedding you imagine snow? Yeah, we got snow....And snow is cold. But Pasha braved the storm (literal storm!) and got out there with us. This guy grabs his assistant, leads the way with his awesomely groomed viking beard and goes to work on absolutely killing the shots. They're crazy good! That's brave. So now we get to relive the feeling of snowflakes landing on us forever. We even have the cozy moment of the groomsmen playing human shield to keep the bridesmaid's warm and dry (his idea to keep them warm, btw, while me and the new Mrs. were taking more pics -- oops!). Pasha took the time to meet with us before the wedding to make sure we understood his style and that he understood ours. Everything was comfortable and friendly, and that set the tone for the wedding. He and his team just became part of the bridal party for the "getting ready" pics -- never an awkward moment. Then they hit the wedding party and became family. That's what you call people that care about your happiness and help you make the most of a special day, right? It's important to mention we didn't have to point out the details. Not all of them, at least, not by a longshot. They got the snaps anyway. That tells me they were paying attention, absorbing the details, respecting the effort, noticing the happiness of our guests and enjoying themselves. It's awesome when your photographers are part of all the warmth. That's talent. ....Well, that and making everyone on the dance floor look like they had swag to spare. Bottom line? We feel like everything got captured. Not just the people and deco, but the mood of the whole day and night. Top quality and resolution obviously. The only complaint I have is that his beard was cooler than mine. Forget the posing and planning every little shot. You want pictures that are YOU? Get someone that lives in the moment and knows how to capture them. Your pics will be amazing and a blast to go through. Five stars for Mr. Pasha Plugovoy and his team. Bravissimi! Thanks for the memories -- and that one shot where our hair looks cool.

He was a little more expensive at 12.84. But he took about 5-6 shots and posed me a bit to get the best shot. He also had the print cut and shaped. AND he provided a little envelope to store the photos. He is professional and very quick for passport photos. In comparison to other shops that are crowded and hot, with no retakes, no help on posing, no print cutting, and no envelope to protect the photos. $8.95 for the other shops. So, if you want a pleasant experience for a couple bucks more. I would try here. I will also be trying him for our Christmas photos.

I end up choosing the less bad picture and send to get her passport. Now that was the US passport photo. When I needed to get a Canadian passport photo for the same daughter, just the thought of going to the same places got me frustrated as the Canadian have very specific measurement to their Citizenship as well as passport photos. I randomly called John Gaspar photographers. The moment he picked up the phone and started talking to me I knew I found the right place, as he knew exactly the measurement needed for the Canadian photos. My wife went to his store and was amazed by the speed and the professionalism at which Mr. Gaspar took the photo and she loved the outcome and actually blamed me for not finding him sooner having to go through what we have been through with the US passport photo.

Having a photographer capture the setting, the details, the guests, and the special moments between a new husband and wife is so valuable, and we are so glad we trusted this to Katie. We are incredibly impressed with the high quality photographs taken during our wedding, and Katie's professionalism. Working with her was one of the easiest and best vendor decisions of our June wedding! She captured moments and details that we will be able to relive forever, including many that we never even saw in the excitement of the day. She and a second photographer, Cullen, were present for nearly twelve hours, and were there with cameras during every moment of the day. We are so impressed with their attention to detail, kindness, and thorough work! We sent a comprehensive list of photographs that we'd like to have captured, and she and Cullen got all of these and many, many, many more, that we never even thought of. The photographs are absolutely stunning, and so very well done, and it was so much fun to see some go up on her blog within a few days, with a great narrative that we could share with family and friends. They arrived four hours before the ceremony even began, getting shots of the bridal party getting ready, the groomsmen, the landscape and ceremony site, and the guests arrivals. Katie was so kind and fun and easy to be around. She made my husband and I feel very comfortable getting photographed throughout the day. Many times, we didn't even notice the photographers as they captured beautiful and special parts of the day. My family through that she was a friend who offered to photograph our wedding, because of how comfortable she was coordinating the large group after the ceremony. For the entire day, both photographers stayed present, but were unobtrusive. They were with us for close to twelve hours! They remained energetic, happy, professional, and kind throughout the entire day. We have countless wonderful memories and hundreds of photographs to treasure from the day, thank to Katie! A wonderful value and terrific investment!

Laurie Brandt ended up being my first pick for my first born son's newborn photographer. I LOVE…read morenewborn photography but Laurie's work was hands down the best. She had so many ideas I loved I did my best not to torture her in regards to themes, ideas, & props. She also had done newborn photography with several acquaintances of mine. The long winding country road I drove that November that leads to her studio should be on the cover of a New England Postcard. The falling leaves and trees I passed set the scene or privacy, nature & serenity! She has a gorgeous home photography studio- set on a picturesque property with 360 degree lake views. Just being there brought a sense of calm over you! Laurie asked me what I wanted and introduced me to her daughter Tiffany who would be assisting her during the Newborn Photography shoot. Laurie immediately got to work & I could tell she was a naturally creative spirit. She has an amazing energy and aura about her that transcends into her work! She took my ideas and transformed them into beautiful art. I wanted to incorporate a "Prince Theme" since that was my sons baby shower as well as a "Peter Rabbit Theme" since that was my sons Nursery as well as those quintessential newborn pictures & a few Christmas pictures since it was next month I could use a few of these for Christmas Cards as well as whatever she suggested which was a "Mother & Me" Picture & some other things I Loved. I loved and wished I could have kept them all (including the proofs)! Most important about Laurie in addition to her spirit was how great and accommodating she was to me and my son. I had no qualms about her holding, posing, or adjusting him. She also gave me plenty of time for feeding/changing throughout the session. You could tell she was a Mom with an amazing maternal side that translates into her photography. My son slept through the ENTIRE photo shoot except for when he peed on Laurie- which she handled- LIKE A CHAMP. She quickly let me know and we got him cleaned up and she just kept rolling! That in and of itself- was amazing! Naturally- I felt bad and apologized and she was like "Don't worry about it" she Shook it Off enduring "it happens all the time"! She also has an amazing room dedicated to Newborns/Kids & Their Mom's/Caretakers in which she has a changing table with all supplies, wipes/toys/etc. Newborn Props & Newborn Outfits as well as an area to breastfeed -which I personally thought was amazing!! She made me feel immediately comfortable and I'm a pretty shy individual! Her young daughter Tiffany was also naturally gifted with photography and newborn posing and appeared to be just as creative as her experienced mother! They made a great team and made me feel great about being a First Time Mom and observed I was very natural tending to my son and stopping to breastfeed in between our 3 hour session. The studio grounds are absolutely beautiful & her backdrops are amazing. I know she also does "themes" and offers full scale sets for some of these I believe such as Fairy Sets (unless that's just an example of her beautiful editing). I've seen her do newborn photography with: Disney Movies, Where the Wild Things Are, Rainbow Baby Tributes, Police Officer Tributes, and really anything you want. WHAT TO KNOW: Laurie is extremely talented and creative and is amazing with both newborns AND parents. She comes highly recommended by many friends and individuals in RI! She is very easy to work with, down to earth and extremely approachable and works with what YOU want! CONTACT HER ASAP to schedule an appointment- because you don't want her to be booked when going into labor and she usually doesn't like to take newborns over 14 days old. The first time you meet her you can tell that she gets inspired by each and every shoot- which is refreshing to work with and see! She is also an amazing and FAST editor- as well! She is my absolute favorite newborn photographer in the State of Rhode Island & I would recommend her to any Mom - especially nervous first time Mom's like I was because she put me at ease instantly and she made the whole process a breeze! Anyone looking to do something Creative or One of a Kind with your child or newborn you have to schedule with Laurie and first time Mom's have to do the Mommy & Me Picture!! I'll love and cherish all these pictures forever! A fun and memorable experience (as it should be) opposed to the horror shows I've gone through at Target & JC Penny.

And the results are another amazing story. I heard about her through the grapevine and did maternity photos with her. Let me tell you, the last thing an expectant mom who resembles the Goodyear blimp would like to do is pose for photos. I already felt beautiful and glowing, just didn't want to capture the physical gains on camera; however, Laurie made me feel comfortable and brought out gorgeous gowns, utilized some of the beautiful nature on her property, & and took some pretty damn good photos too! Next visit was the newborn session and she handled my 10 day old peanut with such care, she never woke, not until the end! Laurie kept the studio warm and gave ample time for feedings and changes. Most recently, we did the 6 month shoot - once again, Laurie had that magic that resulted int daughters personality shining through. Positive energy reinforces positive results! Looking forward to the 1 year and holiday photos!
