Will never return. 9am appt, showed up at 8:50 they make you stand outside or sit in car. The office unlocks door at 9am. If you have a 9am appt you should open earlier. Dentist strolls is at 9:15. Three of my kids attended this Dentist. I now have switched them and realize that the grass is greener on the other side. Not great experience at Kidd smiles. One of my children has special needs, and I highly discourage you to attend here if your children has any anxiety. They do not have a lot of patience with the kids. They tend to be aggressive and forceful. I was attracted to this dentist, because the kid, friendly decor, however, the technicians, and Dentist need to have better chair side manner. In addition, they're billing is bogus. I took two of my kids at the same time paid for fluoride out of pocket which is fine, but out of nowhere after taking them here for a couple years, I got a bill for almost $200 which should have been covered by insurance. I called my insurance company and they said it should've been covered. However, this dentist put me in collections over it and hurt my credit also. Glad I left. read more

They cram too many appts so your waiting and they did a horrible job cleaning my daughters' teeth. Worst place ever. Dentist it rude if you question anything and so is her assistant! They also lied about billing. I asked to make sure my daughters' cleaning was covered by her insurance because it was her 3rd within a year and they said yes. It wasnt and now they are trying to bill me for it and now threatening collections if I dont pay for for their mistake! When they told me her cleaning and flouride treatment was covered at that point it is their liability not mine! They need to eat the $75 for their misguidance and false information. This dentist was AMAZING!!!! Each and every one of the staff members made me and my 4 year old feel totally comfortable and happy! I was AMAZED at how tami (hygienist) worked with my daughter ... she was calm and explained every single thing to her! The dentist was also amazing and sweet.. they give your kids a goody bag with a toothbrush ( and like not a cheaply brush a GOOD COLGATE one) with tons of characters and colors to chose from, toothpaste, stickers and flossers. Then at the end of the visit your kid gets a token to get a huge bouncy ball out of this cute machine in the front - the entire place is sooo kid friendly .. from murals in each room to decorations ... I'm literally obsessed and can't say enough kind words ... it was important to me to find a dentist that my kids would feel relaxed and comfortable and this place was JUST THAT! read more

I brought both of my kids for their first appointment to a dentist today in the Holbrook location. I was so happy with the treatment of my 2.5 yr old and 3.5 yr old. Not only did the hygienist get them to interact, they had their teeth cleaned and my son had X-rays done. My son won't even cooperate with our pediatrician like this. I am so sorry that it has taken me this long to write a review. I have been taking my beautiful granddaughters to this office for many years. I am so happy that my grandchildren will never know the fear of a dentist as I did at their age. The office is clean, and the staff is just amazing with not only the children that come through their doors but the families as well. Dr. Chelse, and Anna were so unbelievably good with both my granddaughters who need some teeth extracted. I would recommend this facility to anyone. The girls loved their stickers, their goody bags with new brushes etc. they especially love the ball gum machine. My granddaughter is already looking forward to her next tooth extraction. read more

Office is very nice and clean but the staff is not so great! Aweful customer service experience with billing questions and scheduling. Took over a week and several phone calls before I had what should have been a simple question answered. Several times the individual who handels scheduling was curt and acted like I was bothering her. They were in-network so should have been exactly what the insurance company said I should have paid. Pulling teeth to get in touch with billing department and get over payment back. Everyone we came in contact with was so nice and genuinely cared about my child and her health. The entire office is so kid friendly that my daughter who was originally quite nervous totally forgot she was at a doctor's visit as soon as we walked in. I have been coming to Kiddsmiles for a year and a half now with my one daughter and I have always had nothing but great things to say! But, today, was one of the best experiences yet! I came in with both of my girls, first time for my youngest! They both did great! I was scared to go to this apt alone, with both kids bc I wasn't quite sure how they would react, but let me tell you... the staff was above and beyond! I didn't have any stress and my kids weren't clawing to run out of the office in fear! The dental hygienists were very accommodating. When first entering the room they treated them with a big smile, let them choose their own tooth brush and a sticker, which right away got my oldest attention real fast! They showed the girls all the stuff before doing anything and told them that it would tickle their mouths. My oldest went in and sat right down on her own without me having to hold her on my lap.. after they finished they got tokens to get a ball on their way out! Before my appointment I had called on several occasions due to me getting a different type of insurance, I was so confused with how my insurance would work and what would be covered, I spoke with the office manager Amanda on a few occasions and she was knowledgeable, able to answer my questions and if she wasn't sure she found out the answers for me! Unfortunately, I had to switch dentists due to insurance and I will not be returning. "For a mother of two" as the slogan goes on the phone, this practice couldn't be any less accommodating to a working mother's schedule. Even though Dr. Michele is very qualified, her staff is horrible. I called to set up my son's six month check up and requested a Saturday when I was told there are no appointments available until March 2015. The receptionist at the Holbrook office along with the staff there need to develop some customer service skills. My daughter needed a cavity filled at 6 years old. On our first attempt she cried and was upset. The dental hygienist was rolling her eyes and sighing as my daughter cried. The hygienist was rude and inappropriate stating, "yeah... she's toasted" when the dentist asked if she was ready to attempt to fill the cavity. They advised me to come back in 6 months to try again. They would only give us a morning appointment from then on tagging her as a "difficult" patient. On our second attempt we were successful but they only were able to do one cavity as they thought it would be too much to do all at once. They said the next appointment they had was months away but we took the appointment they had available. They no longer stated that she needed an early appointment because she had no difficulties with the procedure. We now returned to have the cavity filled and the dentist refused to fill it. Stating that.... oops we must have made a mistake she needs to have a cleaning and new x-rays before we fill the cavity. As far as I know dentists are able to take an x-ray, evaluate the tooth and do the work they need. This dentist absolutely refused stating that it would be too much to do in one visit. Take x-rays, brush and count her teeth then fill a cavity??? So now we should wait another 6 months for an appointment and she'll need a root canal? The dentist then stated my daughter needs a morning appointment because it's noted in the chart that she's a difficult patient. Come to realize the office closes in 45 minutes. So the person who didn't want to take the time is the dentist. She would rather put my child at risk then take the time to correct the scheduling error that the office made. This office is horribly managed and could care less about your child or your time. Save yourself time and take your child elsewhere. read more

Although the dentist was great, the business itself is a total scam. Each time we went there, they collected too much money and claimed that they will apply it to our next visit. Additionally, we were told it would be between $5 and $15 per tooth for my little guy's four "surface fillings". We received a bill for $280 for the 4 teeth! When I called to question them about it they said they just gave an estimate based on what most insurance companies pay, and despite the fact that I had the estimate in writing, I was still responsible for the entire balance. Had I known how much it would ultimately cost, we wouldn't have gotten the white fillings. I was very disappointed with their ethics to say the least. read more

I normally would not post negative reviews but my daughter recently was a patient at the holbrook office the staff there was great!! They referred me to the Syosset office for sedation I called that office 4 times in one day in tears because my 4 year old is in pain and I needed the next appt. the staff was so rude and still to this day I have yet to get a call back!! Thankfully I found another office which took amazing care of my daughter Thankfully I switched because the two fillings they were able to do at the Holbrook office were crumbling and my daughter had a huge infection and abscessed tooth. I will never return to this place ever my insurance does not work with the new dentist I found but it is worth every penny!! Im sorry to say as I said before the staff was great but thats about it!
