As the visits continued he minimized her thumb sucking, basically telling us that "most kids need braces" (using examples of his own children) and did not give information about what the possible outcomes of her not breaking this habit could be. We saw Dr. Tara for one visit due to availability issues, and she addressed the issue explaining that my daughter's jaw could be affected long term and there were other issues that might arise from continuing this habit, and also gave us information about options for helping her stop. Dr. Tara was informative, answered all of our questions, and was very direct about her concerns, which is what we were looking for. With Dr. Tara's guidance we were able to help her stop thumb sucking completely and her jaw structure was able to realign itself. Once Dr. Tara left the practice we stopped going there. My overall impression is that the office staff is very helpful, and accommodating. I would not recommend Dr. Gruber due to him not being up front about the risks we were facing and making light of something that was more in our control than he would have us believe.

Before the Sayville office opened I would go to the Wading River Office, where I have gone for years. The level of care is EXCELLENT!!! I have two children, one that is on the spectrum and the other that is 4 years old. Both of them were terrified to go to the dentist until they went to Suffolk Pediatric Dentistry. What I love most about going here is how in-tune Dr. C with his patients. He listens and answers all of their questions no matter if they are only 4 years old or 12 years old. The level of care, patience and time they have spent to make sure my children are comfortable is incredible. My daughter who is on the spectrum had so much anxiety and was so nervous, however Dr. C was able to make a connection with her and build her trust. Unlike other Dentistry's that wanted to sedate her because too much time was needed. Dr. C did the opposite and made sure she was comfortable before the procedure. He spoke to my daughter the entire time, comforting her and making her less anxious. The procedure went by so fast my daughter didn't realize it was over. I highly recommend this office and wish they saw adults. Thank you Dr. C for taking such great care of my girls and making our trips to the dentist not so scary.

Prior to my visit, I was able to complete all paperwork online which made checkin quick and I was seen as soon as I walked into the office. From the moment I walked through the front door, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism from Breanna. The office is updated, clean, and welcoming. They pay attention to the patients needs and show extra care for those who may fear the dentist; it immediately put me at ease. My dental hygienist, Corinn, was phenomenal. She is incredibly knowledgeable, gentle, and thorough. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. She even wrote a welcome card and gave little welcome gifts . Since I was only going for a cleaning and some X-rays today I only briefly met my dentist, Diamond, but she was also caring and throughly reviewed my X-rays with me.
