She has undoubtedly gone above and beyond dedicating herself to early childhood education for over 20 years. Her passion and compassion along with her genuine love for all the little ones is undeniable! Our son has attended the school for almost 3 years now. We feel so blessed that his first experience with formal education has been at Growing Minds. The teachers follow Mrs. Ansari's vision and have worked alongside her for years, (which is so rare nowadays) and makes such a difference! Being a Montessori School, our son has consistently had the same teacher: Mrs. Carattini. We could not be more grateful for how loving, patient, gentle, nurturing and caring she is. The result is, our son, along with his little peers' flourish into confident, independent, curious children who have undoubtedly been positively impacted by a unique, positive learning environment. Montessori education makes a world of a difference and challenges students to remain true to who they are while cultivating a genuine love for learning. Yes, it is a bilingual place, their English is not fluent, but they try to give you their best. My little one dealt with other kids from different cultures, and now she knows about diversity, and for me it's a BIG BLESSING. In my case, my baby didn't have any experience before in Day Care, I was so scared, but when I hear my little one singing songs, waking up every morning happy, and finishing her program more confident and enthusiastic; I can recommend this place 100% for sure. If someone at the school did speak good English they did not refer me to speak with them. The schools location is great and my child tried out one of the classes. He seemed to really like the feel of the class. Overall I was not able to enroll my child in this school due to communication and feeling like the staff did not care about my concerns. I was extremely disappointed with how me and my child's needs were handled. If you do not speak Spanish I do not think this is the school for you and your family.

While I understand that illnesses can happen anywhere children gather, what upset me the most was the complete lack of compassion afterward. While my child was hospitalized, I still received a notice demanding payment for the week he was unable to attend. As a parent, having your child in the hospital is already terrifying. The last thing you expect is to be pressured for payment instead of receiving even a simple message asking how your child is doing. It made me feel like money mattered more than the well-being of the children and families they serve. Based on my experience, the lack of empathy and customer service was unacceptable. I expected much better from a childcare center entrusted with caring for children. I will not be returning, and I hope management takes a hard look at how they treat families during difficult situations.

Every morning coming in EVERY staff member knows my daughters name and is quick to greet and help with anything which I love because it makes her so excited to be there! Even with this pandemic going on, they have remained open to be able to service us essential workers, & I am beyond grateful for them. They are taking all the precautions necessary to try and make sure that each kiddie coming in is as safe as they can be . My family and I were very disappointed with our experience when trying to schedule a school tour…read more As Deaf parents, we simply asked The First Academy to provide an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter so we could fully understand the information being shared during the tour. Despite multiple emails and opportunities to reconsider, the school declined to provide an interpreter. Instead, we were told to rely on written communication, tablets, and "extra time," which are not effective or equitable substitutes for real-time ASL access. This does not provide meaningful communication for Deaf adults, especially during an important process like evaluating a potential school for our children. We were also told we could "bring our own interpreter," which shifts the burden of accessibility onto families rather than meeting basic inclusion standards. We left the interaction feeling that the school was not prepared to support the communication needs of Deaf parents. Accessibility should not be optional, and it should not depend on families paying out-of-pocket to participate. I hope the school takes this feedback seriously and re-evaluates its approach to serving Deaf and hard-of-hearing families in the future.
