Thursday, 12-19-2024: This is a beautiful store inside & out as you can see from the photos. It's very bright, clean, organized, and laid out well. From the outside it looks magical but when you step in it's a different vibe. When I entered there were a couple or workers, perhaps the proprietors behind the counter. They didn't bother to look up or acknowledge my presence with a greeting. I felt invisible. There were a variety of unique toys and a nice assortment of children's clothing and accessories. They were pricey. However, I did find some cute items to purchase for our 7 year old grandson. Then I thought better of it and put them back. They don't really want my business. read more

We have been coming to this store for almost 15 years. It's a must stop even now that my kids are teens. We were there again yesterday and my daughter added another dog plush to her collection. From the moment I walked in, the owner was incredibly gracious and welcoming. She took her time answering my questions while also helping other customers, and I never once felt rushed. In fact, I had to pull myself away because I kept finding more and more wonderful things for my 5-year-old. What makes this store truly special is the thoughtful curation. Yes, it's a toy store and a children's clothing boutique, but it's so much more than that. I was pleasantly surprised to find handmade, WFTO-verified and Fair Trade textiles from Nepal and Peru something you rarely come across in shops like this. I ended up picking out a beautiful wool poncho from Nepal, a custom-woven cardigan sweater from Peru, and wool felt finger puppets, among other gifts. The owner personally wrapped everything in tissue paper, placed it in a gift bag, and added a ribbon the perfect finishing touch for bringing home souvenirs from a work trip. The selection is thoughtful, the service is heartfelt, and the whole experience feels personal and rare. I can't say enough good things about this gem of a store. This shop is always a highlight for my kids when we visit Solvang every year. This year we had the best experience with Kids Club ear piercing. She really took care in making sure my daughter was ready to have them done (she's 5) and went over the process with her, how to keep them clean and took her time with placement to make sure they were even. We also decided to have our three girls get their ears pierced by owner, Amy. She is certified in piercing and offers many safe and stylish options. Best of all she had tools that were very clean and took great care in positioning and distracting our children during the piercing. There is a little "pressed penny" machine out front that is not owned by this business, and it is seemingly out of order even though there is no sign. My wife tried to use it and it didn't work so she asked the staff and they actually just reimbursed her on the spot saying they would take it up with the machine's owner later. Plus the store itself is really fun with lots of clever little kid toys. My 2YO was in heaven! Definitely worth a stop. read more

I had my arms full of toys to purchase snd then when I got to the register I saw this ignorant sign so I put everything back. I will not patronize any place with such a divisive sign. I am also wondering if the owners will ever collect social security or if they use public roads or if they will use Medicare when they retire or any of the myriad other social programs that all civilized societies provide for their citizens. read more

I did ear piercing for my daughter there and I should admit- it was such an amazing experience!!! My daughter is 4.5 so I was a bit nervous, but she really wanted to get it. We came as a walkin and the owner, the lady I forgot her name- she took such a good care of my daughter, she was so happy and proud afterwards! And the healing went perfect, no issues at all. We were in town over the weekend to attend a funeral. After the service was over we were fortunate enough to walk around the cute little town of Solvang and enjoy all the sights and scenes it had to offer. We came upon the Kids Club store since it was close by to Solvang Restaurant where the reception was held. They have a lot if souvenir stuffed animals, clothes, toys, knick knacks, etc for kids. The gal working the counter was super nice and we were able to find a cute gingham pink dress and fan to take back to our little one. There was even a huge beetle on the floor just hanging out and the hubby scooped it up and released it outside so she didn't have to deal with it. We will come back if we're ever in town again. read more

Then she took her time and my card got decline for time out and blame it on me then she tried it again and oh it works. Kids Club Outlet is a cute children's boutique in Solvang CA. I shop for my gransons there because they always have great prices. The owner says all clothing is regular priced at wholesale or below because they are an outlet. In addition, they always have 20-50% off of special clearance clothing too. Really cute clothes! Brands like Charlie Rocket, Agabang, Little Mass, Le Pink, and At Home come to mind. My grandon likes the toys (not half price but affordable, reasonable). They carry wooden toys from Melissa and Doug and classic toys, pedal cars, plush animals, old fashioned rubberband guns, slinkys, hula hoops, floor puzzles, wood puzzles, baby gifts, etc. Kids Club also has a lot of little purses, hair bows, tutus and fairy skirts, tiaras and wands.... and boy things like cap guns, magic tricks, wooden architectural blocks, prank toys, and so on. They are open 7 days a week. Hopefully someday I'll have a granddaughter, because they have the cutest clothes for girls too! Oh! and they carry the nostalgic Dick-and-Jane Books!
