The ball pit area where older kids can play had this virtual gaming screen that was quite captivating for my son. He really liked playing there. My daughter on the other hand had a blast bouncing around in the basketball court area as well as the big Lego block building spot for babies. The food area seemed quaint here. Parents were in line grabbing snacks and drinks quite a bit while we were there. I spent close to $700 hosting my son's birthday party at Slick City, and unfortunately, the entire…read moreexperience was a disaster from start to finish. The AC was not working properly, and we were seated upstairs in an extremely hot area with only a fan that was turned off multiple times. I had preordered our food months in advance, yet our order came out late and was incorrect. Meanwhile, our guests were upstairs waiting with no food and not even water available. We had to ask multiple times just to get the water refilled. Once all of the food finally arrived and the water was refilled, things were somewhat better, but we were still sitting in an uncomfortably hot space. Our party host did her best with what she had to work with, but the overall operation felt extremely disorganized. The entire place appeared to be run by teenagers, with no adult manager present or available to address issues. One employee at the front desk, Peyton, consistently appeared irritated and never once offered a friendly or welcoming attitude. To make matters worse, because we had spent so much of our party time upstairs waiting for the correct food order, my son went to take one last slide. Peyton came up to him and told him, "No, your time is up." At that point, I asked to speak with a manager. I was told, "You'll have to look up the number on our website and call them." I found that response incredibly unprofessional and rude, especially after spending nearly $700 on a birthday party that had already been filled with problems. I waited three weeks expecting someone from management to reach out and discuss what happened, but no one ever did. I understand that things can occasionally go wrong, but the lack of communication, poor customer service, disorganization, and complete absence of management made this experience extremely disappointing. I would not recommend spending your money here or hosting a birthday party at Slick City.

The coaches are super motivating and they don't allow the kids to divert from the planned evening. They challenge appropriately, but don't let the kiddos off easy. You pay a monthly fee for a specific number of classes and can add on if you choose for an additional feel. The classes are planned out in advance and very organized in transition through each event. Kidstrong offers clinics, summer programs and even birthday party events. Each child has a starting point and they can rank up after a certain amount of classes. They are also offered Coach awards that circle around giving it their all, stewardship to their fellow classmates or just impressing the coach during the class. Most recently Kidstrong came out with a parents app that you can easily track your child's progress, view last classes and monthly challenges.

I visited this KTR location using my GetOutPass, and after recently visiting the newer Mesa…read morelocation, the difference was pretty noticeable. The Mesa location has a lot more gym equipment, obstacles, and activities for younger kids, while this location feels much more like an open warehouse space with fewer things for little ones to do. The skate area is definitely larger here, but overall there wasn't as much to keep my 7- and 9-year-olds entertained. There were also a lot more older teens here, which made me uncomfortable letting my kids explore on their own. Even the 6-and-under area had bigger kids playing in it, and the main wheel zone was filled with older boys riding around pretty aggressively and balls just being thrown in different directions. The biggest disappointment was the cleanliness. We needed to use the restrooms as soon as we arrived, and they were very dirty--toilet paper was all over the floor and multiple toilets hadn't been flushed. The facility also felt worn down, and some of the equipment looked like it could use better maintenance. I'm glad I was able to visit using my GetOutPass, but I don't think I would pay admission to this location. I really wish the GetOutPass included the newer Mesa location instead, as it's a much better experience for younger kids. The teens all working at the place also are too busy talking and mingling with each other...
