The staff has changed through our time there but everyone was great! To name a few still there...Mandy as the director works hard and always a pleasure to work with! Maria, Courtney, Sammy, Mia, Abbi and Hannah all teachers that treated my kids as their own! Loved the preschool programs for my oldest she learned so much. My son in the infants even learned sign language! I liked that they had teacher conferences twice a year so you could have that one on one discussion on how they were doing. But the teachers were always available during drop off or pick up to discuss any recent questions as well. Summer program was fun with lots of outdoor playing, Kona ice visits, bike day and more! Other fun activities through the year with visits from the Florence Fire department, library, pj day, holiday parties and fun art work being sent home on the regular! Even art work from the Infants! We would still be at Cadance but with school starting for my oldest soon we moved to a place closer to our home. If you're considering Cadence look no further! Your children will be in great hands!

My daughter will NEVER go back to this place again. Not even into the building. When we toured the…read morebuilding, we could tell it was a little run down, but the staff seemed positive and they told us she would be in a classroom environment and that the children were separated by age groups. On her first day, when my girlfriend went to pick her up, no one knew where she was. My girlfriend asked to speak to her teacher, and was informed that the teachers leave at 3pm and that from then on, the children are left with school-age teen girls, one of which in another classroom (5 year olds) yelling at a child to "put that down NOW". My girlfriend finally had to go out to the playground to locate our daughter, and found her in the play-structure, with kids that were older than her, not separated by age as we were told, not able to get down, scared and asking for help down. No one on staff knew where her change of clothes or back-pack were. When I left work to go and speak to the owner, he had conveniently just left, even though my girlfriend had spoken with him 20 minutes before then and told him I was on my way down. When I spoke with the director, she told me that "There were a few different stories about what happened." That's not something you want to hear as a parent who just put their child into daycare for the first time and has a first day like that. She tried telling me the "girls" had said that my daughter was on the playground and having a good time. I later learned that the other kids were hitting and kicking her trying to get her to get off the play structure. When we got her home, she started eating all the food in the house that she could find and eating like she hadn't been fed. Later that night, she was so upset and crying that she almost threw up. I know my daughter, and I know when something really bothers her. We were worried about the quality of care she received from this place IN JUST ONE DAY! Parent to parent, I would not waist the time it takes to pick up the phone and call these people. I even came in the day after to speak with the owner and get our money back, and again the owner wasn't there, or at least wouldn't talk to me. After asking some people at work, I found out that the owner has a reputation for ripping people off and not being on the level. Just wanted to share my experience.

Even though they were the ones who terminated care, I was sent an invoice for the the week of the 29th. Due to the settings in the phone app the daycare uses to take payments (Brightwheel), I was unable to remove the automatic payment or payment method. I called and left a voice-mail the morning of Monday April 29th informing the daycare of the issue and requested they stop the payment. That call was never returned and the payment posted. After not hearing back from the daycare for a few days, I sent an email on Wednesday May 1st, detailing the issue and requesting they issue the refund and remove my children from their system. I finally received a response on May 2nd asking me to provide a Venmo or CashApp to their personal cell phone to have the money refunded, which I'm not comfortable with. I chose not to take the conversation to her personal cell phone, as that seems shady to me. I know that it is possible to post a refund through the Brightwheel app, as I have been in contact with them as well. They have reached out to her on my behalf, sending her the instructions on how to refund me and remove my children on her end. I replied to her email asking for her to refund through the Brightwheel app, and pointed out my children were still enrolled with autopay still on and asked again for her to turn this off and remove my children from her system. I have not received any response. On May 4th I was sent another invoice for the week of May 6th. I reached out through email again to attempt to get my refund and have her remove my children to stop invoicing me for care that is not being provided. My child is now at a new daycare altogether and she is still charging me for hers. Thankfully the support at Brightwheel were able to remove my method of payment, but as of right now, I still have an invoice for Gingerbread House this week and she has not responded to the Brightwheel support or me. The new daycare also uses Brighwheel, but I cannot add a payment method or I will get another fraudulent charge from this daycare. There is no excuse as to why nearly two weeks later this still hadn't been resolved." I have several emails from Brightwheel confirming she had not been responding to them either. She claimed she tried to reach out to me several times (she didn't), and even if that were true, she always had the ability to refund me through the app and remove my invoices from day one and she didn't. It wasn't till I wrote this review that she finally fixed the invoicing and claimed she refunded me (she didn't). It was still another week after that before I got my money back, and that was only through my dispute claim through my credit card company.

Seemed like a great Montessori blend and we felt like it was going to be an awesome fit! My child was due August 11, and we gave them a deposit and "enrolled" him on March 15. I told them at that time - and the lady wrote it down - that I would take 12 weeks off with my baby before I returned to work. They told me no problem and to just call them when he was born to determine his start date. I did exactly that. I called them 1 week after he was born, told them my return to work date of 11/7 (he was born 3 days after his due date, so he wouldn't be starting daycare any EARLIER than expected), and they told me that they wouldn't have any room for him until 12/19! They also said, "We have to make sure that another child is walking before then, so the very earliest we could get him in is the 19. If that child isn't walking, we'll have to push the date back further." I explained to the lady on the phone that this was going to give me 6 WEEKS without childcare and she asked me if I could get help from family or friends until then. Ridiculous! I don't have family nearby to help with childcare (if I did, I wouldn't be enrolling him in daycare) and all of my friends work during the day, too. When I asked for my $75 deposit back because they didn't hold his spot, they basically scoffed at me and said tough luck. I'm completely appalled. Don't enroll your child here - they may make you wait on another child's development so your kid can start daycare, and you'll be stuck scrambling to find a place (as if the early weeks after having a baby aren't stressful enough as it is). Totally let down and disappointed. I want my $75 back.
