I have been here last year with my daughter and loved the woman who cut her hair. I went back last week. This time someone else, Kelly, who cut her hair was unfriendly and impatient. At the end she asked if I would want sparkles on my daughter's hair and she turned the bottle and dropped so much, that I have not been able to remove it after shampooing it multiple times. The reason one pays 20$ for a kid's haircut is not to watch her get bullied. If you do not have the patience to cut a kid's hair you should be working somewhere else. My 3yr old nephew had a bad experience at the last place he went for a haircut so he was terrified of them and wouldn't let anyone touch his hair. Luckily we found KidSnips! From the minute we walked in everyone greeted us so warm and welcoming and made us feel at ease. He got to pick out a movie and which station he wanted to sit in and immediately forgot why he was there. The stylist was so patient and did such a great job with his cut. They gave us a great recco on a brush to use so he wouldn't fuss so much to brush his hair. He did so well we let him pick out a toy. They had so many cool unique toys needless to say he went home a happy camper and we found our new spot! I was even able to pick up a bottle of Morocon Oil for myself! We had a great experience for our little guy's first haircut. Everyone was friendly, and Ava did a phenomenal job with the haircut, making our 17 month old feel at ease, and making two nervous parents feel at ease. We couldn't believe how quick she worked and how great he looked after she was done. It was nice to get a certificate, picture and lock of hair as a keepsake. I haven't had a full on haircut in a couple of years, so I had 12 inches to spare. KidSnips is one of the few places in the area that takes care of a charitable hair donation from start to finish. I made my appointment (weekdays only for donations), received a great haircut (cute layers with tons of body!), and did my good deed for the day. KidSnips covered the cost of my haircut AND prepped, packed, and shipped the hair to Wigs for Kids. In the past, I have donated to Locks of Love through KidSnips, but LoL charges the poor kids for their wigs made with donated hair. What!?! So glad KidSnips now partners with an organization that truly helps kids in need. My girlfriend brought her son in at the same time for his very first haircut. Both stylists were great and there was absolutely no crying! (From me or from the baby!). Great salon, wonderful staff, plenty of toys and movies to distract the kids. Highly recommended! read more

Definitely worth the price. I have been taking my kids here for 5 years and overall am very happy. Kids love that they get to sit in "cars" and watch their favorite movies while getting their hair cut. My girls love getting glitter sparkles in their hair and they always leave with cute clips and styles. Kids get a free balloon, lollypop and prize which makes the whole experience very positive. It gets a little tiresome to have to explain we are not toy shopping every time we go and some of the hair accessories are way over priced. The stylists are hit or miss, but I agree that Emalia is fantastic and so is Lorena. read more

Been taking my kids here ever since their first haircut and I always request Yvonne. She's fantastic. She can cut any type of hair but if you have curly hair, this is the stylist for you. I am always asked who cuts my kid's curly hair. It looks good even when it grows out. Seriously, Yvonne is the best! read more

Stella is the best stylist hands down. We tried different salons, including my high-end one in Chicago, but nobody seemed capable of cutting my son's hair (which has cowlicks) correctly. She asks what we're looking for and cuts hair impeccably to those directions. For instance, when going in one week before school pictures, she left the hair a bit longer so it was the PERFECT length (and not too short) on picture day. In addition to doing amazing work, she is very personable and cares about her customers. I highly recommend her! read more

We had a terrible experience - Our 10 month old son was placed on the car chair with no proper safety restraints and he fell with his face hitting the metal steering wheel. We then took him on the lap and continued with the hair cut. The stylist messed up his hair but cutting excessively from one side while the other side was completely uneven. My recommendation is to avoid this place but if you still want to go here, absolutely recommend avoiding Stella the hair stylist. read more

Yesterday I took my son to this location for the second time. His appointment was at 6:30 pm 30 minutes before closing time. Right when we walked in my son was thrilled with the toys, colors, and decor. We checked in and right away he was asked to be seated, without even letting him explore the truck with flames! As someone working with (all type of children) including kids with special needs, you would think that she would of tried to get his attention and let him gain a little bit of her/his trust! but she didn't! She instantly tried to put the cape on and started to cry! I was absorbing the lady all the way at the end by the door, which was the first lady who ever cut his hair! she was so patient, nice, took her time and not rushing!! I'm Disappointed, as this is a salon for kids, I mean for paying $25.00 and not letting my son enjoy his sweet ride and rushing his hair cut cause you got to home is not COOL. I could of cut his hair on my own and made him cry thanks. read more

We went to the same person there for years and she always did a great job. The management is awful though. Rude to both to parents and the employees and act like they are put out simply answering the phone. Miss Yolanda has been cutting my kids' hair for the last ten years. My son is 11 now, and is autistic. She gave him his first hair cut. Because he is autistic, he has sensory processing issues, so hair cuts have not always been a good experience. Miss Yolanda was comforting to him and got the job done quickly. My daughter, 9, is not autistic, and has been getting her hair cut by Miss Yolanda for her entire life. Miss Yolanda will take the time to put cute hair clips or a pretty braid into my daughter's hair at the end of the hair cut as a little treat. I am so excited about finding this place. My son enjoyed getting his hair cut so much while watching a show he selected that he's actually asking when he can get his hair cut again.
