After taking apart just enough of my furnace, Evan pulled a baby raccoon out of the exhaust flue. It was a good thing I didn't get him out myself because the scared little thing bit Evan's thick glove. On evaluation, the cub had a dislocated hip but otherwise healthy so he will be rehabbed through a rescue then released. Evan has enough respect for nature and for wildlife that he was willing to tell me directly what the most humane effort was. In this case, euthanasia wasn't the appropriate route. I'd call them again every time. Can't recommend highly enough!
