Terrible Customer Service Visited Kiehl's at Lenox Mall this morning (7/18/25) and was immediately disappointed. Two Caucasian women were working, and neither of them greeted me, offered help, or even acknowledged I was in the store. I checked the product prices while inside and compared them to the website turns out there's a 20% discount and free shipping online today. No reason to shop here. Kiehl is a cosmetic brand that specializes in natural ingredients. I would compare them to the French company Loccitane. I've used some of their products over the years and here is a list of some of the items that I think are worthy of trying out Ultra Facial Cream Ultimate Strength Hand salve Creame de corps Intensive treatment and moisturizer for dry skin This store has a "tester bar" where they have about 3 dozen or so of their best selling products for you to try out. As you're trying them out the sales people explain and educate you on the products and the ingredients that is use to make the products. The scent is that the company uses is light and not too overwhelming. The price is actually not too bad for the items and the amount that you get. Their stuff is pretty concentrated so you really only need a dab so it last a good while....They have a nice selection of travel sizes that you can purchase for a few bucks if you're not ready to make a commitment to purchasing an entire large bottle of something... read more

This review is on the customer service and not the products. I've been using KIEHL'S products off and on for about 12 years. For a store that is almost always practically empty every time I pass by, the customer service sure sucks and then on top of that didn't give any samples. The last time I came here the service was extremely slow and no one bothered to reach out and assist me. The gentleman that rang me up seemed nice but he ended up being a little disrespectful. I asked for a bag and he questions me on that and makes some snarky remark like I don't need a bag. I want a bag, I like the bag and you shouldn't be judging and questioning a customer. Sometimes boys want to be pampered and taken care of, too. Don't hate. It's true: I went to this joint upon the recommendation of a pal of mine who used a vitamin c product during a facial that had a light foundation. I hated the idea of foundation at first, but I was going in front of the camera and needed to look good. so, I landed at the wretched Lenox Mall for a quick visit since the products are hard to find elsewhere. Here's the thing: I'm a stickler for customer service. These folks took care of me instantly, answered questions and made me feel welcome (and put me at ease as a guy shopping in a vapid toiletry store). Note to customer-care trainers: if you get your people to be nice and engage, your customers will spend more. (I also dropped $50 on some ridiculous face cream.) My guy there gave me lots of samples, too, just to make sure I became a regular customer. Moral of the story: go here and you won't be disappointed. Just find a strategic parking space so you can leave Mall Hell as quickly as possible. read more

So, having a brief 2 hour layover landed me in this place. The smells and textures here are quite impressive, and the prices are quite pricey. New to the line, so cannot speak on the value of the products. I was helped by a woman who was friendly and knowledgeable, while not being pushy. She was great in encouraging me to test out a lot of the products. I love the essential oils like eucalyptus, peppermint and such used in the products here. I wanted to try the hydration spray, but apparently they have a hard time keeping it stocked as it so popular. If your question is does these products work, I have an answer, heck yes! I tried many over-the-counter and upmarket skincare and beauty products that claim to be one-of-a-kind, technologically advanced, and tested and approved by world-renowned dermatologists. Time after time, I was disappointed and regretted my prestige beauty and cosmetics purchases. I decided to visit a dermatologist for pharmaceutical grade products which without a doubt works best. The store-bought brand which works best for my sometimes problematic skin concerning controlling oil production, in turn, prevents breakouts is here, Kiehl's. However, the primary issue I have with Kiehl's is many products seem repetitive or a 2.0 version. The repeat is a nuisance when shopping because you must decide which of two very similar products best suits your condition. I am a dark skin tone woman with oily skin, and noticeable pores. Kiehl's products address most my skincare issues. I highly recommend the products. I use Midnight Recovery Concentrate, Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream, Calendula (wash & toner), Super Fluid UV Defense, Activated Sun Protector, Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution to name a few. I use them all regularly​. I swear by these products and the staff have been around for years! I've shopped with the same group of experts and associates for about 2 years. I've only shopped here a few times, and the staff has always been helpful and friendly. Today was no exception: I needed to send a gift to my sister-in-law in California, and Arthur helped me get it done quickly and shipped it directly from the store for me (free for orders over $50, and $8 otherwise). He also hooked me up with several samples, which is par for the course in there--you can pretty much get a nice-sized sample of anything in the store if you ask. Not sure about the reviewer that said the salespeople are conescending, but that's never been my experience. Also, the designated Kiehl's store may not have quite the glam factor as somewhere like Bloomingdale's or Neiman Marcus, but they have a much more extensive and consistent product selection. Last (and probably most important) thing: if you've never used their Creme de Corps lotion, you need to get some stat. It's pricier than others, yes, but it honestly transforms your skin. read more

I love Kiehls products. This is a review of the business and not the products. I've been to this store in Lenox on a few different occasions and had terrible service each time. The first time I shopped there and got bad service, I gave the person the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe they were just having a bad day. Then I continued to have similar negative experiences the next two times I went there. Bad service on three separate occasions? That's just unacceptable. The first two times I kind of knew what I was getting so I didn't really need the attendant's help, but this last time I needed advice on which exfoliant was best for my skin. So here's how the conversation went: me: (in a polite tone of voice, of course) Excuse me, I need some help finding an exfoliant for my skin. employee: (with an attitude, pointing to the exfoliants). OK. Here are the exfoliants. me: Well, I've never used a Kiehls exfoliant before, what would you recommend? My skin is on the dry side. employee: It just depends on what you prefer. me: I'm not sure what I prefer because I've never used a Kiehls exfoliant. What are the differences between the exfoliants and is one more popular than the other? employee: No, it just depends on what you prefer. me: Well, it one of them better for dry skin? employee: (getting annoyed with me) It just depends on what you prefer. Anyway, my sister, who was with me, eventually jumped in and saved that woman from my wrath by picking something out for me. Lesson learned from this experience: Only go to this Kiehls if you already know what you're buying. Otherwise, go to Nordstrom at Perimeter to sample and buy Kiehls products. Service is hit or miss here. One of the employees (a woman) is nice and answers questions and offers advice on products. However, two guys who work here are rude and distant, which makes for an uncomfortable shopping experience. I recommend their products, though. The lady working at Kiehl's at Bloomingdale's is actually more helpful and knows the products really well. And there is a guy working at Nordstrom's Kiehl counter at Perimeter Mall is super-nice. For me, it's all about service, so I prefer Bloomie's and Perimeter Mall for Kiehl's. read more

Kiehl's "Deluxe Hand & Body Lotion with Aloe Vera and Oatmeal" is perfect. It's light as a feather and soaks right in, yet moisturizes effectively. The scents are light and pleasant, not perfumey or overpowering. Their sunscreens for the face are the same way, and they offer broad spectrum protection. The staff is genuinely helpful and will guide you to the right purchase without pressure. And like Scottie M said, the samples! They have a sample for everything. If something caught your eye but you're not sure if you want to commit just yet, they will happily slide some samples in your bag. read more

My mom told me I was spoiled because I bought my facewash at Kiehls. Well, it's true. But you'd have to be a fool not to purchase facewash, or any other body cream thing/stuff/etc if you were able to at this fantastic store. Guys, it is one of the only "body shops" (not to be confused with the Body Shop) where the staff can help you navigate the overwhelming and confusion world of creams with 100% confidence. I use the Facial Fuel Energizing Facewash ($20) and the Herbal On the Spot Treatment (about $25). The On the Spot Treatment - and this is no lie folks - really gets rid of those zits overnight. It's kind of sort of a miracle, especially when you have a big event in the morning, like a date or going to class or grocery shopping, where you don't want anyone - even strangers - to see that nasty zit on your forehead. So do yourself a service and grab some stuff at Kiehls. Still not sold? Two words, FREE SAMPLES!!! The sales associates will give you little free samples of virtually anything you want to cruelly hook you for eternity on their products. It worked for me, but apparently (according to my mom) I'm spoiled. Well, I'd also like to inform all of you that my mom now uses the Kiehls signature product which is the Creme d' corps. I have had the worst customer service in my life and I am very disappointed because I am a frequent shopper at Kiehl's and have never had a problem with you guys before. I am sorry to say that your workers are very unintelligent and they lie about what they are doing just to get you off the phone. I received an online order last Wednesday and the box had my 3 samples in it but there was NO ITEM. I called as soon as I opened the box, which was Thursday. The guy said he would re-order it for me with EXPEDITED SHIPPING. HE LIED. I called 3 days later (Monday) and the order was still processing. I called again to cancel the order so I can just buy it at the store because I needed it ASAP. I had paid with my reward points and the lady said a supervisor would be calling me WITHIN 24 hours to give me my reward credit back. I have spent a lot to earn the $20 reward points and I didn't want to lose it because it wasn't my fault in the first place. I got a refund for the $9 I paid but I never received a phone call from the supervisor. I called back yesterday to check on whats going on and the lady told me that it has already been credited to my account and that I could go to any store and I would be able to use it because it is ON MY ACCOUNT and I didnt even need a code for it. She said the people there would AUTOMATICALLY be able to credit it for me. Sadly, SHE LIED TOO. I drove 30 minutes to the store today just to find out it wasn't on my account. The person at the store told me I could only get it ONLINE. I spent an hour (30 min on the way and 30 min back) driving just to get my product which I still haven't even gotten. I called Kiehls while I was standing stupidly in the store and I had no choice but to order through the phone. The guy told me my total balance was $22 something I cannot remember exactly and he asked me for permission to process the order and I said yes. After he said he would guarantee everything would be ok and that he would EXPEDITE the shipping we hung up. After 30 minutes I checked my email and saw that I was charged $44.28. I had to wait 20 minutes to talk to the manager and when I talked to her she was not nice about anything and was annoyed that I was mad. She didn't want to deal with me and just kept saying "sorry" with ZERO emotion. She was a robot that just had to say sorry for everything. She said the only thing she could do was to refund me the $20 that I deserve but she made it sound like she was doing me a favor. She said it was a "one time credit" that she could do, but it wasn't even my fault in the first place. Also I asked her about the expedited shipping and she said there is no note about it on my account and that she could not EXPEDITE anything unless I pay for it WHICH MEANS the guy I talked to earlier to order LIED TO ME TOO! Everyone of your workers are liars and just try to say things that would make the customer be happy about but you guys can't even do those things. Why say things that you cannot promise or will not even do? I am very angry on your service and every one of the 5 people I talked to on the phone. You guys are liars, have the worst service, do not keep promises, and I will not be ordering from you guys ever again. I am sorry but you guys just lost your biggest fan.
