This is the Ulta closest to where I live so I've been here many times since it opened a few years ago. Even when the lot is busy, I've never had trouble finding nearby parking. I've done both in-store shopping as well as order online/pickup in store + curbside. The checkout process is always a little slow, but I think that's every Ulta or Sephora. There's a 50/50 chance you'll find someone to help you while shopping in-storek, and not every product has a sample. Always check to see if there's a coupon on the website you can use on your purchase--many times, these are offered on the non-prestige brands. This Ulta also has a full-service salon in the back. Note that the salon hours differ from the store hours which is not very clear on the website or on Google maps. On weekdays the salon is not open until 12 pm, which means not even the salon front desk is staffed. On the weekends, it's a bit earlier, I believe 11 am. I took my niece here for a haircut/style/highlights with Bella. She did an amazing job over the four hours we were there. Like most teenagers, my niece became obsessed with things she'd seen on TikTok without any regard for whether that would work on her hair, in particular. Bella was very transparent from the start about expectations and kept us informed of what she was doing every step of the way. She also made great recommendations for toners that could be used at-home to maintain the color. It was also very reasonably priced -- $185 before tip which is a steal considering the amount of time and energy she put into it, plus we'd also added an Olaplex treatment since this was virgin hair. It seems easy enough to book appointments online; I'd gone in person because I wasn't sure what to book for my niece and how long it would take. I'd definitely come back for the salon experience for a closer-by option than my usual. A wash/blowout is $45 which seems comparable to other places like Dry Bar. read more

This might be an Ulta company culture thing, but this is not the first time customer service failed the vibe check. As a frequent patron of this location, the head cashier with vitiligo seems have a pattern of telling paying customers "No". During my exchange, the cashier asked if my purchase from yesterday was used while proceeding to open the product. This was quite embarrassing to say the least! Fortunately, I was able to find the products I was searching for, however, they're always run out of the freebies that come with purchases over a certain amount. read more

Came in today for some skin product and maybe a different perfume. I immediately noticed the lack there of for the fragrance section for the women and men's. It was quite bare. However, I did find the skin product I came for. Ulta's has great customer service as well. I'm so tempted to get my face made up. But I don't wear makeup. read more

Horrible experience with the Salon. Stylist Dominique K. I booked my daughter for an all over red/auburn color. Virgin hair BLONDE. We were never informed she used a semi permanent. It was not discussed to us. With in 10 days and two washes the color was about 60% stripped. Her ends faded to pink. I called and they booked an appt on 7/26 at 3:30 to see what could be fixed, but apparently the actually stylist canceled it and refused to see her again and never told us. Called again Saturday morning She poured out new lies that she told us it wouldn't work for her hair type and she should have BLEACHED her hair prior and had to get shampoo with dye in it to "build up the hair color". Now I'm 40 and a naturally dirty blonde I have been a red head for half my life. I have NEVER had to bleach my hair to go red. Never. read more

I'm a regular Ulta shopper and have spent a lot of money here over the years, so I was disappointed with my most recent visit to the North Druid Hills location. I came in to pick up an online order and figured I'd also ask for my free birthday gift at the same time. The associate who brought me my order said I couldn't get the gift unless I got in the regular checkout line--which had more than 10 people in it. I understand policies, but it really came across as dismissive and lazy. The birthday gifts are kept just a few feet away, and it would've taken seconds to grab one while I was already being helped. It felt like customer service wasn't a priority in that moment, which is frustrating for a loyal customer. Hoping for a better experience next time. read more

I was trying to use my ulta coupon that I GOT EMAILED to me. And the lady at the counter with vitiligo was trying to tell me I couldnt use it unless I had the physical copy? & when i asked why she stuttered and made absolutely no sense.. she ended up letting me use it so idk why she said anything to begin with was very weird and didnt make any sense at all. The staff at this location are always very helpful when I have questions about products! During one of my visits, I noticed that they had a full salon in the back of the shop for hair! I scheduled an appointment with Charity C for a wash and twist, and my experience was great. I recently took my braids out and didn't want to deal with washing my hair on my own. The prices are reasonable and Charity was super knowledgeable and sweet. I highly recommend this location for hair services if you are in need! I would recommend calling ahead to see what services they are able to provide if you do not see what you are looking for -- they can do most styles from wash and gos to finger styling and even braids/quick weaves. I as told to go to the back of the line and was yelled at by her ( I belive her name is Yashira or something like that) She never apologized and had the most unprofessional disposition of any person I'd ever met working in Ulta . Being a regular at Ulta, not particularly this location, I am aware that some location have employees "shadow" shoppers which sometimes makes me uncomfortable. I've been in & out of this plaza for a few of years. Never noticed the new Ulta & I'm glad I found it. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The person who assisted me was Gray. I was there for an event with Pattern Beauty by Tracee Ellis Ross. The commotion outside was a bit much. I took advantage of the store being practically empty for a moment. I made my way over to try the Fenty beauty foundation. Gray matched to my neck & chest with about 3 different colors. We found the perfect shade in 360. Also, I picked up a Morphe brush to blend in my foundation. We spoke about several makeup techniques & it was fun. The only issue I had was trying to wipe off the test swatches. She couldn't find tissue to save her life. I ended up wiping my chest with Clinique wipes. Please keep up stock on items like sponges, tissues & anything disposable. I love going to Ulta, especially with my daughter who is home for the summer. I was super excited about MAC's National Lipstick week which ends today. I am a MAC lipstick DIE HARD. I was so disappointed when I got to the register and was told the lip gloss and lipstick I selected were not 40% as advertised. The cashier's response to me when I verbalized the signage on display where I got my items from was the worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. She insisted the items were probably mistaken for the smaller versions of what is normally housed near registers checkout and pointed to a different area of the store that had large signs saying 40% off as we walked to the Mac display upon my insistence. I pointed out the signs in Three different areas on the displays advertising 40% off with the original price range posted ,along with the date pricing ended. There were no exclusions, limits other than "while supplies last". Her response: Well it's not ringing up so it's probably not the items you selected. Me: Your sign says it and I selected the items from here inclusive of the price point. Cashier: Well I will need to ask my manager. She calls the manager and has a conversation over her headset while I am waiting at her register at the end of the counter. Then she returns to her register to tell me that the items I selected she cannot apply the discount. I restate but the sign is there where I selected the items. This is where I almost lost my cool when the cashier responded to me: "I'm not going to go back and forth with you " as she raised both her hands, palm -side facing her body and placed them on her upper body "you can speak with the manager" I said yes I would like to speak with the manager There were other people in line behind us and she was the only cashier at the time! The manager came and gave explanations of why one of the items would not be honored because of the Mac charity connection. I thought that was feasible.( even though there were no limits mentioned in the advertising posted) I said okay and referred to my other as being eligible and the cashier boldly intervened responding " that's lip gloss," and she even had the audacity to have a smirky look on her face. The manager offered to take me to the display and she would help me choose new items. I respectfully declined, had the items I selected removed from my purchase and paid for my daughter's selections. I left that store humiliated by the way I was treated as a customer who prior to last night, usually walked into an inviting and friendly place of business. I don't like leaving this sort of review but it's necessary ... Disappointing because I love Ulta and will always go to the salon in the store, but I won't shop this store because the manager is nice nasty and purposely tries to openly embarrass if you have an exchange or return. If the product doesn't work for a customer it shouldn't be a personal war with the manger or slight on the customers part . Not sure of her name but you will know her by her unpleasant demeanor. I will not spend my hard earned money there until she's no longer at that location. Ulta needs to rethink who they hire to manage this store. read more

This is the best Ulta location that I've ever visited! The store is huge and also carries premium brands such as Sunday Riley and Drunk Elephant. I've never seen these items previously at any of the other locations that I've frequented. The store is extremely organized and I was able to find everything I needed without much assistance. The staff that I encountered was courteous and helpful. I'd highly recommend them for all of your beauty needs. read more

This is my neighborhood Ulta, located at the Toco Hills Shopping Center. I come here every few months for a restock of some makeup products or to try new things that I have seen circulating on Tiktok. I've always been able to find what I'm looking for. When I ask the staff questions, they are more than happy to help me answer and direct me to the correct aisle/store location. The line has been long sometimes, but nothing unbearable. The staff is great at reminding me to use my Ultamate Rewards points too. The only negative experience I had was when I tried to redeem my birthday month gift in February. I didn't realize that due to unsubscribing from marketing emails I didn't actually receive the birthday gift credit to my account. I tried to download the app and find it there but the sales associate confirmed there was nothing she could do, which I eventually accepted. It was out of her control! read more

Stephani & Dylan did a poor job with caring for this customer today. Curbside pick up clearly does not exist. I waited outside for about 10 minutes. I finally went in to get it. I warned the people parked next to me to that they would be better off going it it themselves. They did. One saved, hopefully of many. I feel as if I was racially discriminated against by one of the employees. She stared me down as I searched for a perfume. Once I finally decided to ask for help, she gave me the nastiest attitude as if she did not want to help me. She then handed me the box and asked if I had more shopping to do because I asked for multiple bottles of perfume ( it was two bottles) I said I was done shopping but, of course, I wanted to do some impulse shopping. Wow! Just read the 2/22 review about the employee who walked right in front of a customer to help someone else. I experienced the same thing today. It was unbelievable. I waited for about 3.5 minutes while Tiffany rooted around for the item sought. When she told the customer she was helping they didn't have the item, I said "is it my turn now?" I explained that I was shopping in the same section when she rudely cut in front of me. No apology, but LOTS of attitude. Then I couldn't get rid of her. I actually told her to go away but she wouldn't, just kept mouthing off. I went to the manager who sleepily said "I'll speak to her" while not looking at me and then remembered as she walked off to say "I'm sorry Mam". Then I heard Tiffany loudly defending herself to the manager, getting other customers involved, making up a complaint about me. I stayed for a few minutes longer and then just left.
