In the spirit of saving local brick and mortar stores from Amazon, I was going to order the jag and proprietary patches anyway. I go to check out, and they don't take American Express. I understand that Amex chargers vendors higher fees than other cards, but that's the card I use. I wrote an email to inform them that I was not going to purchase a jag through them because they don't take American Express. This is the reply I got: "I know that you are looking to be spiteful with this e-mail. If you want to be self -satisfied that that you are depriving a business of revenue because that business does not take the overpriced card that you prefer to use.  A card with charges 2.5 times industry standard.  If so please do not read further. I am afraid your math is deeply flawed.  The jag in question is made by us.  Every reseller of the jag purchased the jag from us.  The reseller took a huge hit selling the jag on Amazon and paying both Amazon and Amex a cut of the sale.  They paid us a cut first when they bought the Jag from us.
