They have a descent playground for the little ones, you can hike in the vicinity and a bike trail ( 7 flat miles) close by that's safe for kids with a pool in the summer. No RV sewer hook ups at individual sites. $30+ per night is cheap.

With scenic walking trails, an outdoor classroom, day camps and a small indoor animal habitat, Briar Bush is a great spot for small children, couples on a date, or anyone looking for a brief respite from the urgency of the modern world. With free admission for locals and a small fee for out-of-towners, the preserve is accessible to all patrons provided that they are able to walk down some wooded trails that circle through the admittedly short walking routes. The centerpiece of the trails is a picturesque, secluded pond with benches for sitting and an interactive sign with information on the local fauna and flora. The indoor animal habitat has a small gift shop, pamphlets on upcoming events and information on other parks in the area, and several interesting animals such as a blind possum named Odin, a bearded lizard named Karl, and several other unique turtles and reptiles. All of Briar Bush can be walked through in an hour or so, but the low admission, interactive nature events and scenic walking trails will have you wanting to return again soon.

Anthony, Christine, and Stacie were wonderful about making accommodations so that my son could participate alongside his neurotypical peers, and he even had a special "buddy counselor" who he absolutely loved! Both Science and Arts camps were exciting and engaging, with new projects and experiments being returned home daily. However, sometimes you get those hockey kids, and they purposely skate fast and weave in and out of wobbly people, so that can get a little nerve wracking. It's also rude and inconsiderate but considering those guys are teens, it's kind of forgivable, I suppose. Have a decent seating area upstairs that always looks clean, well maintained, with plenty of tables and chairs where they sell food. You can also look out and watch people skating. She took the time to get us comfortable with our horses, I had Montana and my wife had Sonny, and we fed them treats, she showed us how to saddle them up properly, and patiently explained how to properly ride and handle our beautiful horses. She then led us on their scenic trail through flower-bedded fields, hilly horse paths, and by a scenic lake all while she took hundreds of pictures of us throughout our journey to cherish for years to come. Carrie has a beautiful farm, stable, and even an indoor area for riding lessons and parties. Her horses are all beautiful, well-kept, trained to handle all level of riders, and obviously well-loved and cared for. I highly recommend Misty Hollow for everyone, no matter which experience you choose to partake in (trail riding, lessons, parties, equestrian, etc). I would give this more than 5 stars if I could. I really love horses and was interested in grooming and tacking the horse I am to ride. I have ridden the same horse so far and she is perfect for now. Cari is a wonderful instructor and I have learned many things I was never taught before. She is also very patient! She also cares about horses and takes great care of them and that was part of my decision to ride here. I have already signed up for additional lessons. I went on a trail ride yesterday for the first time and all I can say is it was incredibly awesome. We walked some and enjoyed the scenery and had the opportunity to canter as well. It was loads of fun and I look forward to going again. If you are looking for a place to learn to ride, continue your training and going on Trail rides this is definitely the place to go! I highly recommend this place.
