I enrolled my son in 2017 & 2018, but last year my ex enrolled him and purposely left me off. She even went as far as changing the password. I was not allowed to pick up my son nor was I allowed to use the camp during the week on my days. I couldn't even pick up my son if there was any time of emergency. Even after I got a court order, the staff & one of the owners (Barry) treated me extremely poor. They wouldn't even allow me to take my son's camp bag with his wet clothes. This happened to me in 2019 and it's happening again to me in 2020. This morning I had the pleasure of speaking with the other other Ruth Ann. She was no bettter than Barry last year, and even called me by my brother's name who hasn't used this camp in many years. From my perspective, both Ruth Ann & Barry put on a fake act. Both of them know me, but act like they don't. I have no idea what my ex told them or the staff, but as a single father I shouldn't be treated in a negative manner. At the end of the day, they will treat you like gold if you show them the money but if there's any issue they will treat you like crap! I wrote a review last year, then a staff member reached out to me and confirmed that what I was saying was very true. I would not send my child to this camp! Save your money and go somewhere else with your child(ren).

His entire staff is impeccably trained - everyone always has a smile and warm/welcoming words (and it's not fake, it's the culture there). Not only are the facilities great (GAGA pits, 2 pools, high ropes course, giant zip line, archery, arts & crafts, drama, etc etc and fields for: baseball, soccer, flag football and lacrosse...the kids even get to play dodge ball) but the staff is simply amazing - incredibly supportive and patient, always there to help and encourage. Campers not only learn how to win but more importantly they learn how to lose and have sportsmanship. The camp has an underlying philosophy based around helping each child become their superstar self - excelling at something. They also teach how to be social with their peers, how to be a good citizen, how to take responsibility...basically how to be a good person in all aspects of their lives. They attention and care they provide is second to none! As with most camps, they hurt many teens which is also great for them to learn but there's also plenty of adults to ensure all goes well! I always look forward to working there because it's such a great day! I highly recommend them and guarantee you'll be equally impressed! If I had young children, I wouldn't hesitate to enroll them!! Anyone who says different more than likely is the type that doesn't accept responsibility for their actions and inactions!! I could ramble on forever but hopefully you get the idea! Don't blame the camp counselors for your own issues! It's like blaming a teacher for a kid that doesn't so their homework and study!

I am completely delighted with the education and socialization that she receives during her camp experiences. She's made wonderful, lasting friendships with the other campers and really looks forward to every day. In a small camp like this, the staff makes or breaks it. This staff is unbelievable- in addition to being great leaders, truly show them kindness and love. There's great staff longevity too. We see the same smiling faces year after year. There are plenty of activities to keep the kids engaged all day long. The drop-off and pick-up is seamless. The facility itself is clean, organized and adorable. The kids get plenty of opportunities to play and move in the fresh air with plenty of shaded structure and indoor room when the weather dictates. The biggest indication for me that it's a great place is my daughter's unwillingness to leave at the end of the day. She begs daily to be in Aftercare!!  Please don't hesitate to check out Summer Hill Camp. I can't recommend it highly enough.
