I take Terror Twist and Terror Twist performance lab with Angie every week, and I love them! Terror Twist is the fun horror dance party I'my always excited to go to, and Angie always makes it a safe and welcome space to be in no matter your skill level. The class is definitely intense especially the first time, but i always leave sweating and feeling like I got a full workout While getting out of my comfort zone. My other favorite classes are horror yoga with Michelle and Corpse Pose Killer Yoga with Dawn. They also have great events and screenings all the time! it's a great community and I love being around the Killer Fitness team. read more

If you are looking for a unique place to shop and work out and also like horror movies this place is the spot. I took my first class last October, which was taught by Anjie, the name of the class is Terrortwist. Picture yourself being transported into a quirky b horror movie with killer music ranging from Rocky horror picture show to the Goosebumps theme. The best part is that there are various scenes from different classic horror, movies playing in the background while you work out. Another great class to take is with one of the co-owners Vanessa and her classes called, Slashercize. In this class, you have to use prop plastic knives and a toy chainsaw which actually works believe it or not you get a good sweat and again another great energy class who needed you to get an ab workout pretending to stab a killer. Another class that I've also taken it and really enjoy is called Death by Dawn, taught my coach Dawn herself. She incorporates various functional training moves using the 35 lbs kettle bells which are shaped like skulls, light dumbbells ranging from 2 lbs to 10 lbs and resistance bands. The class structure is similar to a hit class, but again there are various themes. She's currently teaching a Jaws themed class for the summer which is super fun. I purchased a 20 class pack which is completely worth it. Oh an extra perk is that street parking up front is ample on any day of the week. If you are still not sure, know that there classes are also on Classpass. They also have punchcards, which get you a free class once filled. Totally worth it! My best friend from Montana came to visit me and planned our itinerary and she discovered killer fitness and booked us a class to take together. We did the 9:00AM Death by Dawn booty boot camp. Dawn was an absolute delight as our instructor. The class was very intense but I felt comfortable and was able to do the circuits at my own pace and I didn't feel intimidated by anyone else in the class. 10/10 experience because we got to squat while Rob Z's Dragula is blasting on speaker with a variety of slasher films playing on projector behind us. Also the decor is amazing and I loved the merch! Need to buy the maniac long sleeve asap. Overall 'm very interested in booking another class and coming alone in the future. I've been attending workout classes since at Killer Fitness since shortly after they opened in May 2025 and can honestly say I love this place! Horror themed workout space that has slasher clips playing on a big screen in the background as you workout. I haven't attended all the classes (and they added more new ones) but can vouch for a few. Fitness Ghouls is for beginners and is perfect for trying out this space. Kay is such a comedian and energetic instructor and adds natural humor to every class, I would attend anything she teaches. Slashercise run by Vanessa is a class where you get to use plastic knives and chainsaws as you work out. It's more challenging and this is the class I tend to be sore after working out. (I personally think it's one of the more challenging classes but very doable! Don't be scared of it) Vanessa is also very sweet and always a friendly face to greet you when you come into the studio. Terrortwist Dance Aerobics is run by Angie who is such an incredible dancer and comes up with unique routines to her playlist. This is the class where I sweat the most because it's constant movement for over an hour but if you get lost in the dance movies it's so much fun! It took me a couple times to get used to this class because it's a bit more free flow in the movements than other classes. Horror Yoga with Michelle was my first ever class here and I love it! I'm plus sized and was very nervous about attending a new gym (as some places say they are body positive and usually aren't but this is not the case with Killer Fitness!). I think all levels could attend this yoga class from beginner to expert and have a good time. One detail that is so important that I want to point out is no one goes around touching your body to correct it. Modifications are given for most moves and Michelle changes things up with the class so it's never exactly the same. Her Dark Side Yoga on Sunday nights is perfect to wind down the end of the week. As you can see I gushed, but it's nice to find a gym where everyone is kind and accepting and really means it. They also have so much horror merch for sale from clothing to pins, DVDs and blu rays, bath bombs, makeup, jewelry, etc. A truly great selection if you just want to stop by the store and not work out. read more

A friend recommended this fitness class to me. So many of these aerobics classes are just copying one another, and boring. I took the Terror Twist Dance Aerobics Class. I was the lone geeky white male in a studio full of non-geeky white males, but they couldn't have cared less. Whether it was zombie walks, or Thriller dance moves, our instructor kept us going and entertained. It helps to have a 15 foot screen behind us showing the best scenes from so many beloved horror films, as we do our best moves. By the end of the 60 minute class, I was worn out and felt like the walking dead (in a good way). They also show cult classic movie nights, and a fun and affordable horror/exercise merch store, with plenty of photo ops throughout. I look forward to returning, but book your place early because classes sell out. read more

Such a fun place! I've tried several workouts here. It's feels silly and kitschy, but I'm here for it! You get to sweat and laugh at yourself doing silly things with props! I'm not too big into the horror genre, but Burbank loves a good horror/Halloween themed store. You might as well throw in some theme related exercise to get your heart pumping. How else are you going to make it to the final scene if you don't work out? Also, the amount of thriller arms you will do is just hilarious! Just try it! read more

I absolutely love Killer Fitness. I was browsing Instagram and somehow came across the studio. As a huge horror/slasher film fan this peaked my curiosity. I live in Burbank and this happened to open up at the old Dark Delicacies book store and I would always drive by and wondered what replaced it. I took my first class which was 6 months ago and I take classes 2-3 times a week since then. What I love is that they have 10am weekly morning classes which is great for me. I absolutely love TerrorTwist with Angie Shriner. The class is an advance high energy horror dance aerobics class. You dance to song after song with various choreographies that will keep your heart rate up and you get you sweating. Though it is a very hard class, I always leave feeling like I got a good workout and I am ready to start my day. As someone who is very shy to dance let alone doing a dance aerobics class, Angie is so supportive as a teacher and she brings such a great positive energy that is infectious and gives you confidence. "Obviously duh." I also started taking Angie's Barre to the Bone, which I also love. It is a barre class where it works out your entire body. My body burns the entire time. Again I feel like I got a good workout in. I also take Slashercise with Vanessa Decker. This is an intermediate dance aerobics class where you use prop chainsaws and knives in some of the exercises. I absolutely love this class. As a horror buff, it is always fun to pretend you are the final girl running away from the villain in a horror/slasher film. This also is a full body workout with exercises that include squats, floor exercises, cardio, arms, and more. Vanessa is one of the owners and a wonderful teacher. She is so friendly and positive and makes you feel comfortable from the moment you walk through the door. I absolutely love coming here. It is a place where I feel comfortable and not judged. It is a real fitness studio where you can get a good workout it just so happens to be a horror theme studio. They sell cute 80s horror fitness clothing such as crop tops, pants, sports bras, and more. They also have a selection of horror merchandise as well as a collection of horror movie shirts that you can purchase. I highly recommend coming here. The classes are a great value and the workouts never feel boring as you would going to a regular gym. I come here about 4 times a week. I originally came in to just try it out because it was niche but I left feeling so much better and my scoliosis had some relief that I was addicted and kept coming back. Killer Fitness makes me feel better both physically and mentally. That first incredible class I took was Fitness Gouls taught by Kay Elise, which is great for an intro level workout class (exactly what I needed!) However, while I love every class at KF, my go to favorite that I come back for again and again weekly is Terror Twist Dance Areobics taught by Angie Shriner. This is class is quite the cardio workout (you will leave drenched in sweat) but is also accessible. I am not a dancer but Angie makes me feel like I could be by how inclusive and empowering she is. Also, in addition to being a gym, it's a really cool horror themed store (carrying on the legacy of Dark Delicacies which came before it) and they frequently have pop up markets and events which are so much fun! read more

Never, EVER in my life have I been someone to work out consistently--in fact, a year ago, I was really overwhelmed at the prospect. I didn't enjoy working out at all. Why would I do it multiple times a week?? The first few workouts I ever did here, I left...happier. I didn't know that was possible. I thought, is THIS what people mean when they say they like working out?? Do I....LIKE working out now??? When I decided I wanted to treat my body better to lay the groundwork for old age, I just conceded that I would just have to be miserable a few times a week for the rest of my life. A spooky, fun, and utterly spooky fun delight, with one hell of a workout to boot! My wife and I have always found gyms to be a little intimidating, but as big fans of horror movies, camp, and campy horror movies, when we heard about Killer Fitness, we decided to give it a shot, and oh how glad we are that we did. While many gyms can have a vaguely stand-offish vibe, Killer Fitness has always proven welcoming and inclusive, with fantastic service that has made them instrumental in our fitness journey. After nearly a year of classes there, we're in some of the best shape of our lives, and for the first time I can ever recall, I'm actually comfortable in my skin, which I kinda honestly never thought I'd feel... truly they have been life-changing for us (and at a great value, at that!). Though we've taken a wide variety of their classes, our favorite, hands down, is Terror Twist, led by the ever wonderful Angie Shriner. A high intensity, and highly fun dance class with a spooky, campy vibe, Angie never-ending positive vibes, encouragement, fun dance moves and offbeat playlists have made taking her classes the highlight of our week. Heck, we even did one of her classes on our anniversary last year when we wanted to have some fun! Tried out the FLEXORCISM class on a Friday morning and woah it was intense for floor Pilates. It is 98% women in the class which was fine. The room was cool and great ambiance. The instructor walked us through each exercise. Just wished we could be faves towards her rather than bending my neck. read more

I first came to Killer Fitness about six months ago because the bright pink exterior caught my eye while driving by, but I've stayed for the inclusivity, the kitsch/humor, the fantastic workouts, and the wonderful instructors. I'm not a horror-genre person and was initially hesitant to dive in, but all that changed when I discovered Angie's TERRORtwist dance aerobics class. She welcomes everyone as they are and encourages us to "summon the spirit of Richard Simmons" while dancing *deadly* and moving our "unique set of bones" in whatever way feels best for ourselves. I was too busy having fun and learning the choreography to be scared by the screen playing slasher movie clips behind me. Now I go to her class as many times a week as I can! The songs are fun and nostalgic, ranging from show tunes to TV and movie throwbacks to hair metal to pop princess. You dance for a full hour straight and get a true workout, both physically and mentally since Angie always adds new songs. This class has brightened my darkest days! I've since tried out a number of other classes and also love going to Death By Dawn for a more intense strength/HIIT workout. The community at Killer Fitness is fantastic and I couldn't be happier that I found them! This place is SO FUN! What vibes! The selection of horror themed active wear, accessories & more is on point! I've already bought multiple tops for my workouts here. Then there's the classes... there's a wide variety for all levels and style preferences, and all have a fun horror twist (or even fully immersive horror theming). They also make sure to make their classes very inclusive, for exercisers of various levels. I have been to 3 different classes at Killer Fitness. I've done the Fitness Ghoul with Kay, her horror movie commentary is awesome with the workout. Horror Yoga with Michelle and her yoga stretched me and she made sure that I was ok doing everything. And Terrortwist Dance Aerobics with Angie I sweat so much and my inner theater kid came out dancing to old musical songs among some other fun songs! There's so many different types of classes I can't wait to try them all! And they have this punch card. killer fitness has become my favorite place to work out! the ambiance is amazing, with chainsaws on the wall, neon lights, and horror movies playing on a big screen. i've taken 6 classes so far and i love them! i'm excited to try them all out. each class is $20 but if you get a pass it's cheaper (around $12-$15 per class for a set of 10-20 classes). i think they're also on class pass now? i definitely think fitness ghouls with kaye is a perfect class for beginners! kaye is fun and theatrical and makes so many horror movie references (you get to have your mia goth pearl moment). my fav classes are probably the aerobics classes. in slashercise you get to use the knife and chainsaw props. terrortwist aerobics is EXHAUSTING but super fun and high energy! i also did flexorcism with melanie and she's such a cool instructor! i'm excited to do her kickboxing fight like a final girl class. the death by dawn booty camp class is INTENSE but dawn really knows what she's doing. she also helps you modify the exercises in case it's too hard. i might not be able to walk for a few days but it was fun to suffer with a group of horror girlies. speaking of, one thing i love about the studio is how it's 99% girlies attending the classes. the instructors are all women too. everyone is very kind and supportive, and even if you're scared about looking dumb doing the exercises, no one is there to judge you. i am trying to get my friends to swing by for a class! they think a horror themed fitness studio is a cool idea--I just need to get them to actually come lol. i will say as someone who hates exercise, killer fitness' class are a fun way to get moving. they also have a very cute store where you can buy size-inclusive horror-themed workout clothes, browse for horror themed earrings or trinkets, and snag a monster energy drink. read more

The instructors are top notch and classes are so effective and such a blast, special shout outs to Angie's dance class and barre class and Dawn's booty camp.
