Ohhh yeah... If you're looking for great tacos, this is the place! It's hard to find in their industrial park location, but it's worth the ride and hunt to get there. The not so good location and really poor signage when you're trying to find the place, are made up for with their delicious tacos and burritos and salads. Killer taco? I don't know about that, but it was a pretty good taco (and burrito). The kalua pig tacos and burrito were good ... And remarkably like carnitas, in case anyone needed that Hawaiian-Spanish translation. Seating is limited, but there's no reason to linger, so that's probably not a big deal. My only real gripe is that the fish tacos and burritos are made from Alaskan cod. While I'm sure it's delicious, I couldn't bring myself to order Alaskan fish in Hawai'i. read more

You can find this place just north of the touristy core of town. Which is a good thing. This was good food, and true to local style, the tacos were big and fat; more like small burritos. We had a burrito, too, which my daughter said was pretty good. This is a great place to hit if you are coming to Target, or going shopping to stock up a vacation rental. This is a lot of food for a pretty good price. We got the fish burrito and the kailua pork burrito. The fish is deep fried and I didn't think it was as good as the pork. While not the best food we had on the island it was cheap and filling. For the price you can't beat it! I had a Kalua pork burrito for lunch. It was just ok, nothing like some of the reviews have made it sound. I wanted to have fish tacos but the only fish they serve is Alaskan cod. We have been visiting this little hole in the wall place each time we visit the Big Island since 2011. I love places that do food well and don't change anything. Food here is great EVERY SINGLE TIME. You never have to wonder whether it will be as good as you remember. It can be a bit of a challenge to find, because it's nestled into a building with mechanic shops, etc. But definitely worth the trouble to find:) We brought our kids this trip, and now they are huge fans as well. Okay. Mexican food in Hawaii will not be close or better than Mexican food in California or Mexico. However, this place is decent. The chips (3.99) did not taste homemade- but from Costco. Salsa was pretty good. I got the hard shelled taco special (2 tacos and a medium drink for 5.99) and that was pretty decent. I shared it with my husband. Go here for cheap and fast Mexican food. Killer Taco was phenomenal for several reasons. The food was fast, it was affordable, and it was DELICIOUS! I had the quesadilla with Kahlua pork, and a side of rice and refried beans to go with. If you like plenty of cheese (as I do!) this will be a great option. Not to mention a massive portion. I had half a tortilla layered with scrumptious pork and melted cheese, encased in another perfectly grilled tortilla. They also have several tortilla options, including tomato and spinach. The spinach was particularly nice, and made me feel like I could at least pretend to be healthy while devouring what seemed like 1/2 lb. of cheese. Ultimately, this is a perfect place for either loading up calories before the active beach time, or replenishing your energy after spending all day frolicking with the turtles on the white sandy beaches. Just getting to this after my honeymoon in September...but I still remember how great this place was. Can still imagine the taste of their hot salsa and pork tacos. After spending a decent amount of money at restaurants, we were looking for something not as high priced. Opened up Yelp and this was one of the best reviewed spots in the area we were in. Well deserved reviews. We went in an off time(between lunch and dinner) so it wasn't too crowded. It isn't huge inside, so I'd imagine it can get crowded pretty quickly during normal dining times.
