It was perfectly nestled in front of the water! We were able to walk the shops and then stop by for some tiki drinks! Highly recommend the Rye Tai if you want a strong but flavorful drink! The lilikoi foam is AMAZING!! If you're looking for something that will get you buzzing and don't care for the flavor - they're Zombie drink (limit 2) is not good in taste but it get ethereal job done! The waiter was super helpful when trying to figure out what drink to order! We really enjoyed being able to sit on the top deck and people watch while we sipped! It is def a good pit stop for those looking to take a mini break!
A must stop when in Kailua-Kona for creative and delicious adult beverage and some people watching. The bar overlooks the pier so there's plenty to look at but if you're not into that, the inside has some cool swings and relaxing seating lounge area while you enjoy your drinks and chat. We stopped here on our last day of vacation to have a couple of cocktails before dinner. I had this ube thing and wow, it was so tasty that I convinced my husband to get one for his next drink. The ube flavor was prominent. It was sweet but not unbareably so. The place is tiki themed as the name indicates, with friendly and very attentive servers. Their drink menu have indicators for alcohol levels so you can predetermine how strong your drink will be or will want it to be prior to ordering it. The ube drink was somewhat mild which was perfect since I didn't want to stumble around the streets when we walked to the restaurant for our dinner. They also serve food but we only had drinks. I wish we would have stopped by earlier in the week but next trip to the Big island, we're definitely stopping here again!
Authentic Tiki Bar in Kona with so many cute drink options that are reasonably priced and tasty unique dishes. We got 25 dollars off our check by signing up for InKind, go sign up!! They're very popular so recommend making a reservation or avoiding rush hour. We went early in the afternoon and were seated with an ocean view. Zombie drink was 10/10, you definitely feel buzzed afterwards and the cup design with a skull is on point. Street corn was a must order, delicious and came with lots of chips.
This is a cute little tiki bar. We came on a Sunday night about 7:30. It rests upstairs above another restaurant/bar. A host greets you and seats you. We sat at the bar seats facing the ocean. Even had a view of the luau at the hotel down the street. We had trouble with the service. The bartender eventually came and took our order and then the other waiter came by to take our order again and we told him the other lady already got us. We would have order another drink and food but nobody came back to us. We went to the bar to try and pay. Then the bartender went and cleared our table and another couple moved to our seats after they had gotten up to ask if somebody comes to take your order or if you order at the bar. There was confusion about order and or not enough workers for all the filled seats or what roles they had. I ordered the MISSIONARY'S DOWNFALL Silver rum, peach brandy, lime, honey, pineapple chunks, fresh mint. It was pretty good. It was blended too. Came in the cute fishy glass. Not too minty at all. The Mac and cheese balls with fried too long and were very hard. It was just macaroni noodles, absolutely no gooey cheese anywhere. Disappointing. I'd definitely come back for the drinks and try another food item like the fried Portuguese corn dogs but we probably will try different places.

She was rocking it but had a good 10 tables. Then also made drinks for the other 2 10 table she didn't have to take care of. We ordered the Mac and cheeseballs and they tasted great but no Cheese it must have all come out during the cooking because it was a hint of cheese. Drinks tasted great and we would be back for those. Just expect to wait a little if they are busy.
um hello cutest drinks ever?? & they're actually good too!? They're also FULL drinks which is great because I'm tired of paying $16 for a drink that I'll finish in 3-4 sips! We were sat on the balcony facing the beach which was just another bonus! The only thing is that the service was super slow and it wasn't even busy. We had to flag down our waitress every time we finished our drink and she never checked on us. Maybe because we just came for drinks and no food? But still, I felt like I was interrupting her every time. Hopefully it was just an off day because I will be coming back here for the drinks next time I'm in HI!
This place was adorable and really leans into the tiki vibe in the best way. We stopped in for drinks and a quick app and were pleasantly surprised. The cocktails came out in classic tiki glasses, and they went down way too easily. We also tried the Kung Pao Macadamia Shrimp, which was a total standout. The breading was light but crisp, just enough to cling to the shrimp and carry all that flavor in every bite. Honestly, it was one of those dishes you wish you'd ordered two of.

Per other yelp reviews, their mai tai is closest to the Monkeypod mai tai with lilikoi foam in Maui and Oahu... but that's not true... It may look pretty similat, but definitely not the taste. There are many restaurants that probably have a concept and it may not be fully evident but not Cheeky Tiki. The first thing you notice with everyone are the fun drinks they get. Each one comes in a unique cup full of character. My blue hawaii came in a fush cup. Its very fun to see what fun drink comes out on each table. The burger and salad I got were both delicious.they are not just a drink restaurant but serve decent food.
Service was really good! We had no problems getting getting a table at 8 p.m. after a Manta Ray experience around the corner. Food was not bad but it wasn't amazing either! The best thing I had was the Street Corn. I really liked it. The Garlic Shrimp wasn't bad, but I was expecting the breading to be more crispy than it was. I will say the Bok Choy is boiled and didn't really have much flavor. I was offered to get something else by the staff since I didn't like my meal, but I ended up passing and just finishing up the street corn. Parking: there is a free parking lot a little bit of a walk away, but it isn't bad at all! It is free public parking.
Our server was Sam. She was super Duper cool helpful, friendly informative made it a great experience! Ambience was super cool! they have like nifty swings that you can sit out while you're drinking which was just playful and fun Plus they have tons of different tiki glasses, which is exactly what you want when you go to a fun tiki bar and they just randomly select them! Did I mention the food? The food was incredible the fish and chips with the caper and lemon aïoli should be a requirement if you're gonna stop here! The smoked fish dip was delicious and the burger was definitely worth getting very tasty!
TLDR - this restaurant is phenomenal. The setting is great and spacious with a nice view. The staff will become your best friends, and the food is great. This restaurant is a blessing in the area. It's perfectly located overlooking the water and is conveniently close to the shops. Parking can be tricky though - there is a free public parking lot a few blocks away. Otherwise you'll be limited to street parking or other paid lots nearby. We found this place after doing an excursion and we decided to try this place given its great reviews. It has a great view into the water and it's very comfortable given it's open setting. The staff were some of my favorite people. Our waitress was funny, friendly, and checked up on us regularly. Lastly, the food. We ordered the street tacos, fried shrimp, and Hawaiian pulled pork burger. I also had a piña colada, which will always be good. The corn was the best. It was flavorful and came with chips. The pulled pork burger was also delicious. Interestingly, you have the option of white rice as a side and I'll never say no to a good bowl of rice - even if it feels slightly out of place. The fried shrimp was also good even though we weren't a fan of the breading. The bok choi also tasted funny - probably overcooked because it tasted a bit sour. We were offered to change it to something we'd like more, but we decided to live with our choices. Overall, this place is great and I'd recommend to people who want food, drinks, or just want to hang out with a view.
Located on restaurant row in Kona, but perched above the traffic and adjacent to the Kona tree, you will find this hidden gem. Amazing cocktails that you have the option of drinking in a pineapple. Gorgeous views and fun to people watch. We ordered the ahi, bulgari bao buns, friends, a few mai tai with likoi foam. Food was good, prices were great and ambiance was excellent. Our server was friendly as was the rest of the staff even know they were not directly serving us.
This is a perfect little Kona tiki spot. Nothing fancy, but honestly that's part of Kona's appeal. The food was really good, and I love that you can get a unique tiki drink and take home the mug. Always a win. But the best part is the view. You're looking right out over the waters of King Kamehameha. If you time it right, you can even watch the luau happening while you're sitting there with your drink. If you're looking for incredible beachside vibes and killer views, Cheeky Tiki is an absolute must-visit. The highlight of the experience is definitely the patio--the ocean views are spectacular and make it the perfect spot to unwind. The service was highly attentive when it came to the basics; our server kept the water refills coming exactly when we needed them and consistently checked in on us. While the hospitality was friendly, the kitchen was running a bit slow, and our food took a little longer than expected to hit the table. Honestly, though? With a view like that, we didn't mind the wait at all. They also offer an impressive variety of food selections and tropical drinks to choose from. This review is for drinks only. They are also a restaurant, but we did not eat anything. My friend and I stopped by for a drink on a Saturday night at the end of March. It was surprisingly quiet. I got the impression that during busy season you may want to consider a reservation. Cheeky Tiki is a super cute (of course) tiki theme, on the second floor, the front open to the ocean. We sat in the cage chairs in the lounge. The service was excellent. We asked for fun glasses, and theirs were the best! Good drinks, service, and atmosphere! Stop by if you are in Kona. read more

Food is high quality and well prepared. Portions are generous. I think the street corn probably was about 2 cups of corn. The empanadas 5. Hubby could only eat half of his excellent Cuban. I ate 1 of my 2 shrimp tacos (blackened). I got the Solo Bolo that was served in a fancy cup. Service was fine, they were not crowded at all. The geckos were fun. The view was amazing. And I liked the reggae. The floors here are uneven and there are small steps here and there which you have to watch. read more
Came here on a Sunday for lunch. We were quickly seated. We had pretty view of the water. All of the seating was outdoor/on the balcony so they all had nice views. Ordered our drinks and food. Service was fine, but the food actually took a long time to come out. Our waitress even came out twice to let us know it was still being worked on. The garlic shrimp was not what I expected. I thought it would be more buttery and garlicky like other Hawaiian garlic shrimp. This one had like Parmesan cheese and it was crispy. It was okay but almost too much Parmesan. The chicken sandwich was salty. Fish wrap was good and had a nice sauce and was very fresh. Got the lilikoi lava flow but they accidentally brought out a virgin one so they made me a second one. It was tasty and sweet but didn't taste much lilikoi flavor. Overall kinda expensive but you pay for the pretty views and it's obviously a tourist spot. read more

Review as of May 2025 - They turned Alii Drive into a one way and added a few parking stalls along the side. I was lucky enough to get a stall down by the church and checked out the shops along Alii Drive. I was intrigued by the swings at Cheeky Tiki and decided to grab a drink. They have some good deals on their drinks, including $5 mimosas, which is what I got. Nothing too special about the drink itself, but the service here was excellent! The owner was super friendly and chatted with us. It was a super hot day in Kona and even offered to turn on the sprinklers for us. I loved the ambiance of this place and would definitely come back here to relax. read more

Very delicious food with a beautiful view of the ocean (even in the dark). Everything was reasonably priced as well. Pulled pork was delicious (but very greasy). They didn't have an area to sit while you wait just FYI. But we got a discount from their app when we visited their website. Overall highly recommend. read more

A Perfect Introduction to Hawaii! As a first time visitor to Hawaii, I couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. From the moment I arrived, my server Sam made the night truly special, her enthusiasm and knowledge were infectious, and her recommendations were spot on. On her suggestion, I ordered the garlic shrimp, which was absolutely delicious and surprisingly filling, exactly what I was hoping for. To pair with it, Sam recommended a Zombie cocktail, which lived up to its reputation. Strong, flavorful, and perfectly crafted. She also recommended an off menu gem called the Three Dots and a Dash, a fantastic find that I never would have discovered on my own. Both drinks were outstanding. The food, the drinks, and above all the warm, attentive service made this an unforgettable meal. If this is what Hawaii hospitality looks like, I'll definitely be back. Thank you, Sam, for making my first taste of the islands so wonderful! read more

Excellent food! Impeccable service! Nice view and cool tiki vibes in the adult lounge! We sat and ate our amazing lunch sipped on ice cold drinks and watched dolphins and waves peeling off in Kailua bay! Absolutely perfect once again ! This place is a home run every time, and my top recommendation to send people that are heading to Kona to eat lunch, or just want to enjoy some tiki cocktails or even have dinner ! read more
Came here today in the afternoon. You can see the menu before coming in to see if you'll like it. No wait, quick service and they let me charge my dying phone No appetizers just straight to the entrees. My mom said the pulled pork had a little sweet flavor from the caramelized onions. She took it to go so i know she liked it I got the grilled shrimp tacos. I didn't expect the sauce to be that creamy but they were good. Just wish there were 3 or 4. Not the most filling entree maybe i should've got an app or a second Id come back if im back in Kona read more

LOVE this tiki bar! Nice decor, great drinks and food, laid back, we watched dolphin swimming in the bay and the luau being set up at the King Kamehameha Resort. Highly recommend. read more

We enjoyed a delicious late dinner. We started off by ordering Mai Tais. Yummy!!! The vegetable empanadas were incredibly tasty - I could have easily eaten them all myself! For our main course, we shared a medium-well New York steak and a fresh Hawaiian salad. Our server was friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxing. We were so full by the end that we gave the last bit of steak to the adorable little chihuahua nearby. I posted a couple of photos. I forgot to take a photo of the vegetable empanadas!!! We had a party of 8. They were able to serve us immediately. The drinks have a pineapple rating for how strong they are which is fun. We all ordered drinks. My husband ordered the Scorpion which has a limit of 2 period. Flavor was amazing but had a bite on the back end. The food we each ordered an appetizer to share. The pork belly burnt ends were okay. The flavor was good but the pork itself was lacking. The Kung Pao Macadamia nut shrimp is a must try! According to my girlfriend who ordered the Ahi Tuna Melt it was made from a can and not fresh. I had ordered the Duo Bao buns. YUM! The drinks were amazing I had a Mac Nut Chi Chi try it! Would definitely go back. read more

Food was delicious! I got the pulled pork sandwich and the glaze they used was phenomenal! Hubby got the poke and loved it but it had some kick to it! We really liked the atmosphere and were even given a slice of cheesecake to cool down his mouth because of the heat! Waitress was very nice and came to check in on us often. read more

The best cocktails in the area. Amazing food and the nicest staff!!! Recommending the Hawaiian salad ( you can add fish, chicken shrimp) with the most amazing dragon fruit house dressing! The bulgogi lettuce wraps are very juicy ,and full of flavors read more
