I love this place. Mostly locals go here. Its in an out of the way non touristy dumpy shopping center. It has the best Tacos in Hawaii in my opinion. Im from California and I know Tacos if you're craving Tacos go here but get it to go and then go to a any local Beach Park to eat. read more

We ordered the beef burrito and pork burrito... we didn't enjoy the burritos at all. Customer service was great, but the burritos were just "meh" ... nothing spectacular. We love burritos, this didn't capture us like how it captured everyone's tastebuds who referred us to come here. We came here on vacation after missing our California Mexican food. While its nothing like the food we have at home, it's still good. I got a fish burrito and loved it. It was cheap and tasty. Only bummer is that this place gets pretty packed at lunch so seating might be hard to find. read more

I am not sure how this place has high ratings. This is a Taco Bell. The super nachos are a glop of cheese sour cream, and some guacamole. The fish tacos were some dry over fried fish with a bunch of cabbage. 4 tacos and order of Nachos =25.00. Flavorless food and unfriendly staff. read more

My wife and I used to really enjoy Killer Tacos and we were regular customers the first few years they were open. Then, we noticed the portions were getting smaller and smaller. While the quality was still good, it was no longer the bargain it was in the beginning. Now, we only go about twice a year. Tonight, we ordered two taco salads to go. When we got home, I discovered the salads were only about half the size they used to be. Even the crispy shell has been replaced with a miniature version. As we started eating, my wife discovered a very long hair in her food. It was so disgusting that she lost her appetite. It is sad that this once favorite eatery has gone downhill over the last ten years. read more

I really used to love coming to Killer Tacos, especially for their burritos. Really loved their Longboard burritos. About a year or so ago, they significantly downsized the size of their burritos while raising the price (several friends told me so I had to check it out). I found that the Longboard burritos were no longer large enough to split for two people. So I decided to try their larger "barnyard burrito". I bought one the last time I was in ($11.99) to split with my wife and found out it was the same size as what the Longboard burritos used to be. It includes pork, chicken and ground beef. The pork was really lacking in flavor and the whole burrito was somewhat "mushy". They had to use two tortillas (maybe to make it look bigger, or because the first tortilla ruptured?). Sorry, but in my opinion Killer Tacos has gone downhill and it's no longer a good deal for a meal. I doubt if I'll return. read more

I thought this was pretty good food. It was like a Qdobas or Moe's, but better. I had the Kalua pork burrito, which was pretty large and good. The prices were very affordable, which in HI, is something to seek out. The people that worked there weren't overly friendly, kind of distant. I tried to make jokes and get them to talk, and it was like pulling teeth. Go for the food, not the stellar service. read more

Great little secret hidden away. Its more of a locals place but for tourist who stumble upon it. Its worth it. Very cheap, very filling.

Maybe five stars is a little too much, but the average 3.5 star rating needs to be increased. I came here with my wife. She had the vegetable burrito and I had the Kailua pork burrito with hot sauce. My wife thought hers was just OK, but it is my review and her loss that she would have gone for the vegetable burrito rather than the pork. I loved mine! I really like their habanero salsa, and even though it's their hottest, if you like hot, it's not really that hot. It's cheap, so if you're hungry but don't want to spend a ton of money this is a good place to stop. I wasn't super impressed by their food in general so just don't expect much more than what you're paying for. read more

Went here based on all the recommendations on Yelp. Was expecting killer tacos...have to say the taco and burritos are okay. They are not out of the world tasting but they are good. The service is fast and friendly, sort of a take on chipotle style meals. They do carry Braddah pops and that's a plus. read more

I was so thankful to find Mexican food in Kona. The Habanero sauce that you can get on a burrito or taco is excellent if you like hot food.

If I could give this place a zero I would! First off the girl working there was beyond rude! I had no idea what her problem was, I walked in, and she was already giving me a bad attitude. I remained calm as she kept giving me up and down looks, and her stank face. Second, I found it funny how she was automatically nice and polite to the other customers there simply cause they were white. Lol She had me standing there waiting for my food while she helped the other people. I was so close to going off on her cause I don't play that discrimination crap. However, I decided that I shouldn't waste my time on trash so I didn't react. Third, she almost threw the bag of food at me while still giving me her dirty looks lol. Lastly, the food wasn't even good, fake Mexican food, not authentic. No real tacos or anything. Disgusting! Only thing good was the habanero salsa that's about it. I'm from California, and came here on vacation to see the nice area, not to be discriminated against simply because I'm Latina. I would never come back to this place! We tried the fish tacos, the kalua pork and the chicken tacos. In general, everything was quite good with fresh ingredients. Was a little disappointed that the tacos were not mahi, ono, or some other locally caught fish (fried cod was their choice). Also surprised that there were no free refills on the fountain drinks. Sorry, five stars for Mexican are reserved for El Cholo's in Los Angeles, CA. Killer Tacos? Yes, they are. Truly a tucked away little place. Great Mexican food. In Hawaii, no less. if youre from LA, you wont find this place that impressive. we have legit mexican food in our backyard. this was trying to be mexican, but in a fusion way which didnt really work for me. it's not bad. the burritos are filling and tasty, but it just wasnt what i expected it to be. they are a little confused of what they want it to be. hawaiian? mexican? fusion? hard to say. read more

I gave this place 5 stars simply because it was one of the cheapest meals we had on the island and was definitely worth the price. Of course, I've had better Mexican food, but like I said... for this price it's excellent quality and quantity.
