Upon walking up inlaa was bred they were take out only or patio due to the current pandemic. I hopped on Facebook and Yelp to take a peek at recommendations and reviews. I was pleasantly surprised snd excited to give them a try from the mouthwatering pictures and descriptions. Upon entering I knew immediately this place was going to rock. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and happy to give recommendations. Turns out they moved here just under 2 years ago. It's a lunch only gig and currently closed on Mondays. The decor inside is fun and filled with history paying homage to the fact it's an old union hall. Now let's get down to the food! Water and coffee is complimentary :-) Meals here are a sandwich, grinder, or wrap and come with housemade salad or soups. They also have daily pie! Prices are roughly $15-$18 and the portions are good. I opted for the Philly Grinder and Potato bacon chowder (staff recommendation). Both were EPIC! I literally got two meals out of this one lunch. The Grinders are heavenly sourdough loaves stuffed and melted in the oven. They are also excellent dipped in the soup! I would seriously order the exact same thing again and again. Nothing that makes me want to rush back and try again. Ordering is a little confusing. The menu is posted on a standard piece of paper up at the counter. So if there are people ahead of you in line, you can't see it until you get up there. Once you get there, you can see the sandwiches and melts on the paper, then the wraps are on a separate white board, then the soups and salads are on another white board up at the till. Look... I know it's not the end of the world, but it's annoying. They have a cooler with various pops as well. I also noticed a coffee station set up with some different syrups and stuff. But I didn't see a menu for that, so I don't know what they offer or what the prices were like. All the sandwiches/wraps/melts are between $14 & $16 which includes a soup or salad. I did a buffalo chicken wrap with french onion soup. I love spicy wraps, but this was just drenched in frank's red hot. It's all I could taste and it really wasn't enjoyable :( The french onion soup was good though! There was nothing necessarily wrong with anything... but there was nothing that made me want to go back.

There is LOVELY seating both on the ground floor and upstairs with LOADS of natural light. They carry 1883 syrups and are happy to customize your beverage to your liking. When we asked if chips came with the order, we were told no. But the customer sitting right next to us had chips anyway. When we asked why, the only explanation we got was that they were "special." It made absolutely no sense and left us feeling singled out. A nice interior doesn't make up for rude service. The atmosphere might look welcoming, but the way customers are treated tells a completely different story. I won't be coming back, and I definitely wouldn't recommend this place unless they seriously improve how they treat people.

They're inside the Share Market (along with Magpies Gifts and Potato Corner) at Door 1. Right now Woodrack is the only coffeeshop in the mall since the Starbucks in the food court shutdown. And I think it's great Woodrack is here because they're a nice local coffeeshop. I've come here several times to have a coffee. The lattes are great and as someone who's lactose-intolerant I appreciate the plant-based milk options they have (oat milk is my favourite). They have some breakfast and lunch options, and baked goods. These can change, but if the cinnamon bun is there you can't go wrong with that. They also have a selection of beer and wine (only place to have an alcoholic beverage in the mall). Staff is always friendly.and the owner she's a gem. I will say there's often only one person working, so there may be the occasion when there's a bit of a lineup, but it's never anything major. I always like stopping here for a coffee and look forward to my next caffeine fix from The Woodrack Cafe.

The restaurant is decorated in a larger number of kitschy signs. The seating area was large and open. We ordered 2 lunch specials and a slice of pie. - Roasted Turkey Cranberry Sandwich with Creamy Mushroom Soup - DBC (dill pickle, bacon and cheddar) sandwich with Creamy Mushroom Soup Both sandwiches were very good. The mushroom soup was outstanding. And the coconut pie was divine. So full of coconut. We'd love to come back here.
