They also have gorgeous caramel apples, and they'll even slice them for you when you purchase one--a small touch that makes them so much easier to enjoy. We couldn't resist trying a turtle-covered Rice Krispie treat, and it was every bit as delicious as it looked. We originally stopped in just for ice cream, but after seeing all the sweet treats, we ended up purchasing a little bit of everything. Over the years, I just think that Cohens has become overrated. The peanut butter fudge did not have much peanut butter flavor and the dark chocolate caramel fudge also not a ton of flavor. We really wanted to try some of their Dubai chocolate items, including the Dubai buckeye and it tasted nothing like pistachio, very bland. Very pricey so I think you can find better elsewhere. I couldn't decide between 2 flavors so they let me do half & half. It's tradition to come here every time we're in town, even if we don't have the room in our bellies to buy something, it's nice to walk in and smell the place. We got some treats this visit, though. Husband got a caramel apple, and they cut it up for him. I got the "Our Signature Turtle" ice cream in a homemade waffle cone bowl. MIL got "Sea Salt Caramel" ice cream in a waffle cone bowl. FIL got the "Turtle Cheesecake" ice cream, but unfortunately, it smelled and tasted as if it had turned... It had a very sour, buttermilk smell/taste. He did not eat it. But the rest of our treats were delicious! They make cones and bowls. They make fudge. They make caramel apples of various toppings and styles. They have treats like dipped marshmallows, candies, packaged goods, and quarts of ice cream to-go. I decided to come here in search of some ice cream and they definitely delivered. On a Monday night there was a line out the door, but thankfully it moved quick. I got a chocolate sprinkle waffle cone with 3 scoops. The ice creams I got were sea salt caramel, chocolate chip, and cake batter. The icecream was great and you could tell it was premium quality. The only reason for 4 stars was it was a little expensive. If you come here I definitely recommend you use the yelp coupon and get a waffle cone. read more

I had Ice Cream here a few nights out of my most recent Destin trip. I think there is one of these in ATL but I never had checked it out before. I had the waffle cone with Chocolate fudge Ice Cream and though spendy at about $5 a pop for a single scoop, the cone was Huge, and the scoop was huge and well worth it. I ice cream is some of the best I have had. I also liked that there was a lot of staff on site and I did not have to wait for service. Knowing that they make fudge themselves, the choc fudge ice cream seemed like a no-brainer. I also tried the Mexican Cinnamon chocolate which was interesting. I'll for sure come back here, and will need to try the one in ATL soon. read more

This is a place to get all your sugary treats. They sell everything sugary from candies, fudges, ice creams, and probably anything else you can think about. The manager here is quite sassy and a smart ass. I thought that was hilarious. I just got their ice cream. They give you a huge scoop. They're like the witch in Hansel and Gretel. They seemed to want to fatten us up. How is their ice cream? It's pretty good. I would say it's more old-school ice cream. It's dense, but packs a lot of sweetness. I went there with my family and had ice cream. We love the waffle cone and various ice cream flavors. Many great flavors that are so creamy. My favorite is chocolate flavored ice cream including fudge brownies chocolate and cashew caramel. Kids also got Destin mud and Georgia peach and banana cream. We are visiting fro right outside of Atlanta and we're so excited to get to come here! My 5 year old loved her raspberry sherbet come (be warned, the kid's size cone is HUGE). I ordered their chocolate turtle in a waffle cone (also huge) but the ice cream was so soft and melted that I ended up having to throw it out within 2 minutes of sitting down outside as I was covered from hand to toe in melted chocolate. The ice cream itself had other issues too. They clearly did not let this batch mix long enough because it had a horrible gritty texture. Sadly we will not go back. read more

Great ice cream - kids picked strawberry cheesecake (OMG it was divine!!!) and "Superman" which is a brightly colored vanilla based flavor with almond and something else mixed in, don't remember exactly, but my son loved it. I wrote a review recently for these guys that was pretty damning. My main issue I have with a lot of businesses is that there is no customer service and no one cares about customer interaction and really caring about customers in general. I deleted that review and here's why : 1) the owner contacted me personally and apologized for the service. No bribes no nothing... genuinely sorry that I had a bad experience. This to me is worth more than 5 stars because customer service has just disappeared over the past years. Nobody cares about anyone anymore and everything is so impersonal everyone's glued to their phones excetera excetera excetera... Paul blew me away. Sincere, kind and understood the importance of having a good business and customer relationship. And besides... The candy here is epic. Just remember that this whole entire area is a big tourist area and there are crazy seasons where whole migrations of people flood this area and the towns around. Just about every institution that operates in an environment like that charges a little bit more and you know what? I get it and I understand the business logic behind it. Make sure to give this place a try they have an amazing candy selection all very Gourmet and besides it's really cool to look at all of those goodies. read more

Whenever I found a Kilwins I have to go. My love for Kilwins started at one of the originals at St. Armand circle near Longboat Key off the coast of Sarasota Fla. This apparent new Kilwins did disappoint a little because it was missing my fav flavor rum raisin which I have always gotten at Kilwins. I got the local flavor of Destin Mash with chocolate cookies and caramel. It was a good creamy ice cream and the high quality ice cream I expect from Kilwins. They also make their own candies and chocolate which are also very good. I'll be back on my next trip to the beach hoping for my rum raisin. read more

Kilwin's has some darn good ice cream and they sure are proud of it according to their prices. I had a single scoop of Key Lime in a waffle cone for $4. Granted it was very, very creamy and awesome, but I'm not sure it warranted the price. Whatever, we're on vacation. Loved their ice cream and the flavor selection. My favorite is the toasted coconut ice cream. Only complaint would be that I like ice cream to be harder than it was. This was on the softer side but still great! The store also makes homemade fudge on site and has a nice selection of chocolates, taffy, different candies, and you can take home pints/quarts of your favorite frozen ice cream treat. read more
