Import from Google review, this needs to be put out on multiple platforms. Very poor management/leadership was observed tonight. My son dropped a sucker that we purchased from here, right outside of the door. One of the very sweet and hard working employees noticed and replaced the sucker only to be berated by what I would assume is the manager of the store. I witnessed this and returned the candy back to the manager and was spoken to in an extremely rude manner. Only to witness the manager berate the employee again for a second time. A lesson was learned tonight by that young employee, being nice and attempting to act by the kindness of your heart gets you no where. Avoid this place at all costs. If you see an older man with grey hair, about 5 foot tall, that seems to be suffering from short man syndrome, remind them that organizational leadership skills exist at all levels, even a candy store. Update: 02JULY2026, Well I can't say I'm shocked at the response the store owner left to my review. I highly advise anyone considering going into this place think twice before spending your money here. Do yourself a favor and look at the other reviews from people expressing the same concerns, the owners response to each of their negative reviews is telling. For a place that attracts a significant amount of children and families, you'd think their customer service would be on point. was walking into the store with my 2 kids and happened to see a child crying after dropping a single sucker, and an employee happened to resolve the situation by kindly giving the kid a replacement. while about to check out I happened to see the owner (manager?) tearing into the same employee for no reason. Store itself was full of nearly expired, marked up and frankly gross candy (fingerprints all on the inside of containers), but I can get past that because I'm sure most of these types of stores have that issue. What bugs me more is teaching a kid you've employed that treating people with kindness only begets penance. Absolutely put a bad life lesson into his head. You would think a store that markets to children would have management that aims to give them a good experience, not penny pinch over marked up rock candy worth close to nothing. As a local, I'll just take my business and kids 30 seconds across the street and checkout fairly priced candy at the general market. read more

I recommend this eatablishment if you don't mind the cost of the candy. It is a very bright, cheery atmosphere with an extensive selection of candies. Chocolates, taffy, 5 and dime style candy, sugary kids candy, bulk and candy counter candy. Oh, so many choices. The young girl behind the counter was also very friendly. I opted for a piece of candy (English toffee) that was in the candy counter. The one piece was about the size of a kit kat bar and once weighed my cost was $17+ dollars. Plus the request to add a tip, i guess for that girl to put the piece of candy in a box and weigh it . Candy was good but not worth the cost. read more

Very rude cashier. A box of candy rang up to $50, which I didn't realize, so I politely said I no longer wanted it. The cashier told me I "had" to buy it because of a sign in the store. I apologized and said I didn't realize that was the policy. Another cashier kindly offered to lower the price to $20, which I appreciated. I told him I would give the difference back as a tip, which I did. The first cashier then responded, "You better." I would give zero stars if I could. I'm not even going to be able to enjoy the candy. Very uncomfortable and unprofessional interaction. read more

I'm not one for negative reviews, but the guy at the checkout was so rude to my wife an baby when she found out it was $50 for a pound and a half of candy. He threatened calling the police after pointing to a vague sign and saying she couldn't put it back. The store is nice, but what was that? I get you have to deal with tourists, but get your affairs in order. I highly recommend not going here and just going to a local chain store for the same candy. read more

If you're going for the sugar or sour candies, then this is the place to go. The store is clean and they have a great selection of these type of candies. Of course it's expensive but that is expected. Do not buy the chocolates though. They look really good, but they are so expensive and half of what we bought was just not good. The milk chocolate sea salt caramels were fine, but not worth what you pay for them. And then we also purchased a few truffles and chocolate filled candies, as well as the English toffee, and they were all horrible. The peanut butter truffle didn't taste anything like peanut butter, and the toffee was rock hard. The staff was friendly, but a little slow for service. read more

They have a huge selection of candies, salt water taffy and even a chocolatier section. However, it's very expensive. Grabbing a couple of pieces is okay but I wasn't expecting to spend $60 on candy. There are many other candy stores in the area as well. read more

We have been here before. No terrible issues but they take their candy by the bulk absurdly serious. I witnessed a kid grab a piece of candy from one of the jars to try and the owner threatened the kid to call security. Told him it would cost him $400 - $500 dollar. Then left the kid standing there with no resolve. The poor kid looked at me and asked what to do. What the kid did was wrong I agree, but learn how to handle a situation better and understand your audience. I am friends with people who own stores of the same nature and it just comes with owning one. While walking out I told my son how I felt the owner handled the situation to which I was then followed out by the owner and confronted about. I told him I felt he handled it incorrectly and like a 4 year old he pitched a fit. Then told us to get off his "porch" which was even more hilarious. Then he called security on us. Mind you I am with a group that consists of a 99 year old woman, 8 & 12 year old kids, and other grandparents. We just dropped $80 in your store. I was speaking to my son in private but because one of your workers overheard my remarks you felt the need to dig in. Good luck in life because you must live in a very small and lonely world.
