This location has great price points for subs at $5, the subs here aren't mind blowing, but for the price? Hard to complain!!!

Dropped by during my Calgary trip - glad I did…read more Spot is a little small, however has a reasonable amount of seating - very clean, and service was very quick - staff members are very friendly and made suggestions on what's the best banh mi's to go for. The size was a lot bigger then expected, you can easily share this one with another person, or even save half for later - I regret not ordering a second one, as I found it really good - The baguette had a very nice crunch to it, pickled vegetables just the right amount of acidity. Felt like the sub was made with care and passion lol - can't believe I'd say that - Easily one of the best Banh Mi's I've had, and would re-visit if in Calgary again.

The ingredients are fresh and easy to chew. It's possible to take small bites and savour each bite! We had two subs and split them. Satay Beef and Cold Cut special. We took home small menus and realized that certain catered trays would be great for parties in the future and Sub Day at the office. We found out that it's Banh Mi Nhu celebrated it's tenth anniversary this year and the owners celebrated their 33rd year in Canada this year as well! We got there fairly late in the evening about an hour before close. I'm thinking we can probably add a third sub to our dinner fare in future and still pay less than we would at another place for our date night! Next time we're going to try something a little more exotic and there is a lot ot choose from. Oh, and Vietnamese Coffee! Yum! I can hardly wait to go back! And I'm snagging an extra baguette or two to take home.

Been to Calgary a few times now and every time I will make it a point to come back to this deli…read more Really cool vibe in a great neighborhood. Staff are super friendly and have recommended 10/10 sandos every time. Sandwiches are LARGE. So don't come alone so you can try more than one. My favorite is hands down the chicken Caesar. Don't worry, it's not a salad. It's mostly chicken. Will be back again to try all the other sandwiches!

I'm…read morenot usually a big sandwich person, but a good foodie friend of mine said they heard the hype about Scozzafava's so I went along. No regrets. If you didn't know about this spot, you might easily pass by without a second glance. Scozzafava's serves up authentic, classic Italian sandwiches that just slap. They use a soft sesame seed bun, which probably is the most unique part of the sandwich. For their marinara sandwiches, I wish they used a thicker bun to better absorb all the sauce. The sesame bun didn't keep its integrity, sadly. The meatball marinara was glorious! Slightly spicy, super moist meatballs, slightly sweet marinara, and perfectly paired with bitterness of the rapini. Don't forget the cheese pull! We also grabbed the classic Italian deli, which was scrumptious and very filling. You can't go wrong with either option, in my opinion.

What a great find!…read more We enjoyed the beet salad 10/10, beet chips 7/10, the ranch burger 8/10 , the spicy mushroom mozza burger 10/10, and the Mr. chicken panino 10/10! There is an abundant selection of beverages too. Everything was delicious and I would order them again! The service was prompt, kind and the manager made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal.

The ranch burger and milkshake would of been more than enough for me (as that was a very hefty burger!) but also tried their smash browns (big potato chunks crisped up and super delicious enough to take home the remainder). I really liked the layout and lighting in the restaurant but as an added bonus, there is also a patio out back (I think you still need to go inside to order at the counter though) and free 3 hr parking for those eating there. I didn't realize about the parking until after I was done my appointment (that would of saved me from struggling with paying for parking on an old iphone that doesn't like indigo QR links...). So now I know for next trip to Calgary this is the spot to stop. Also, just an extra nod to the the two working (I believe they both were owners). Super friendly, will chat or leave you to enjoy your meal and really went the extra step with bringing out the good hot sauce and ketchup even before the meal was ready.

The menu is short and sweet; 10 types of banh mi along with a few Vietnamese desserts (sadly they were completely out). There were three workers running the deli; I like how they make all the banh mi's fresh. They actually ran out of bread but lucky for us, they got more delivered. Clearly fresh baguettes and they toast them on request. You can also choose exactly what you want in your banh mi's and if you'd like it spicy. - 2x Banh mi thit nguoi ($5.50) - assorted cold cuts with pâté. This is the classic, the OG. The baguette had a nice crispy outside and soft, slightly chewy inside. The butter that they smear inside is deliciously addictive. Good portion of meat and they stuff the inside with the usual cucumbers, pickled carrots, daikon and cilantro. - 2x Banh mi dac biet ($6.00) - house special sub. We tried this one out to compare; I liked this one a smidgen more. Might have been because we got this one spicy. Cheap hole in the wall spot with good quality banh mi. Cash only!

The pate has a rougher texture and a stronger, richer flavour than Thi Thi, Trung Nguyen and Kim Anh. The meats were thickly cut and flavourful, and Saigon gives you more meat than other places. The toasted bread was crunchy, but not so hard it cuts into the roof of your mouth. With the smear of yellow butter and the smell of the pungent white onions, I found this sandwich rustic and satisfying. Pro tip - ask for extra butter and pate if you want your sub extra creamy. Otherwise the amount given is more moderate.
